How to manually deploy SOAP applications to 9iAS?????

I have manually deployed SOAP web apps to Apache SOAP in the past but with Oracle SOAP there does not seem to be a administration interface to Oracle SOAP. I would like to be able to manually deploy soap applications.
Any pointers to docs or information would be appreciated. The only information I could find was using JDeveloper 9i to deply.

Thanks. I did print out another paper you might want to check out: 'Using Oracle9iAS Containers for J2EE'. It also covers the deployment of SOAP apps. I dont know why I was so confused come to think of it. When I built the 9i AS and the SOAP server I simply deployed and configured a web application from the command line. I can do the same thing for any SOAP app.

I am trying to find out how I might go about deploying SOAP applications manually -vs- using 9i JDeveloper to Oracle 9i AS. Every document I see uses JDeveloper. I have manually deployed SOAP apps to apache soap of which I assume Oracle SOAP is similar except there is no Administration Screen on Oracle.
Any help would be appreciated.

Deploy forms applications on 9iAS

Hi,
I am very new to Oracle 9i and our DBA is on leave....
I have following setup
Oracle 9i database on Unix (Solaris 2.8)
Oracle 9i AS on Unix (Solaris 2.8)
Oracle 9i DS on Windows XP.
I have developed a small application using 9iDS and am able to deploy/test it on my windows development box.
However after reading the following a92175.pdf document I am still not sure how to deploy my application on 9iAS so users can access and use the application.
Please guide (I am working on a deadline).

Yes, my application is forms9i application.
Now the question is- which AS install do I need to use. I know there are 4 types and through forums I have understood you need to use BI install.
Also the 9iAS install that I see at our work-place does not have any folders named in the deployment guide. I have understood that I need to do a complete (re)install.
Assuming all goes well in the re-install:
application I developed and tested in 9iDS on windows has following structure...
z:\oracle\scripts\myproject\forms - holds fmb and fmx
z:\oracle\scripts\myproject\reports - holds jsp
z:\oracle\scripts\myproject\scripts.
My application calls reports from forms and I give the path to reports by SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY. How is this handled when I deploy the fmx files to AS
When I do deploy my application to 9iAS what structure would i need to build?
I understand that the dir I put my fmx files I place that dir path into FORMS90_PATH
Then if I am porting the fmb files, i need to make changes to places whee reports are called as our 9i As is on solaris 2.8. Right?

How to remotely deploy adf application using ant script

Please suggest some pointer on how to remotely deploy adf application using ant script.
I have created automatic inbuild ant script using jdevloper and ojdeploy that create a war file into my adf application deploy folder.
Now i want my war to be deploy remotely on weblogic server.
Is there any inbuld functionality provided by jdeveloper for same.
Can any one please share build.xml for adf application for deploying application remotely.
I try to use wlserver but not much success.

How do you deploy FMS applications on the web?

Hi
I am new to Flash Media Server and I can't get my head around
this software.
How do you deploy the applications you build on your
development pc, onto an external server?
Do you have to have FMS running on the external server?
Or does FMS supply you with files that can be used on any
server?
This is so confusing.

The key thing to understand is that the Flash client (the
flashplayer) is what makes the connection to FMS. FMS and the .swf
don't need to be on the same server.
What you need to do is change your RTMP string in your
connect command. I"m guessing you're currently using localhost or a
LAN IP. Once you move the .swf to another server, you have to use
the WAN IP or domain name of the FMS server.
Once you have that taken care of, you can serve the .swf from
anywhere.

Deploy Web Application on 9ias

I am new to 9ias.I just wonder something about web application deployment steps on 9ias.
I have developed a web application with servlets/jsp/xml and i used Eclipse Ide & Resin application server but now i want to deploy my this web application on 9i Application server.WHAT STEPS SHOULD I DO FOR THIS DEPLOYMENT?

How do you deploy an application to a user?

I want to setup SCCM so that IT can deploy applications to users. I know that SCCM allows the publishing of a library to allow users to accept and deploiy applicatiosn themseves but I don't want that. I just need to know how to deploy the application to
them. I know it's a simple question but if someone could give me a general step by step that would be great.

How do you deploy Flex applications?

Hi All.
Flex is great! But... how do you deploy apps, especially when the environment changes?
I make use of "Import Web Service (WSDL)" to make the ActionScript framework for webservices which I consume. I have coded those web services in .asmx (c# web services for .NET) and run them locally. The framework Flex Builder creates is just fine, and I can run my app locally with no problem.
My intention is to distribute the database, the .NET webservices, and the Flex app as a complete solution to my end customers.
What's the best way to do this?
1. Using "Import Web Service (WSDL)" creates a framework around a named webservice. Upon deployment the URL for these changes. SO: How can you make it easy to switch the site the webservices are consumed from? Can Flex apps be set up to use an environment variable, or even read a local file for the URL of the webservice I want it to point at? (i.e. something in web.config or elsewhere?)
2. Should I NOT use "Import Web Service" at all? Am I stupid for using the built in generator and instead write the code by hand? Note: this is VERY time consuming for the number of services that are exposed in larger apps. My typical dev cycle consists of parallel updates/upgrades to web services as they are demanded by elements incorporated in the Flex app.. so it's very convenient to just re-import the WSDL as I make changes.

I have never really bothered with importing web services. I generally point my apps in the direction of my webservice by specifiying the url in my HTTPService tags. If the location changes , you can just load the values in xml , and it will dynamically change where the endpoint service is in your application.

Manual deployment of application server

I am new to EPMS 11.x version installation. As part of upgradation from 6.5 and 7.x, We are doing this.

When i initially started out trying to deploy the hyperion system 9.3.1 using SQL server 2008 with Websphere 6.1 as my app server it gave me problems but i found a workaround and i have the shared services screen coming up however it says...
SEVERE ERROR: The Hyperion Shared Services database is not configured correctly. Please contact your system administrator.
And an idea someone gave on a thread was to mess with the HubProductBean.jar file and remove the classes of the javax/crypto - however that did not work. If anyone has any suggestions to get passed this issue it would be great. Thank you!

To deploy a JBI application to Sun's App Server, you will need a JBI compliant ESB installed. OpenESB would be my first choice here. Then as far as installing your components without Netbeans, there are two choices. 1) Copy your SA's to the JBI/ESB autodeploy directory and you binding components and service engines to the JBI/ESB autoinstall directory. 2) Use the ant tasks that the JBI specification (http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=208) requires for all JBI implementations. OpenESB's JBI tasks are detailed here: http://wiki.open-esb.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=JBIAntTaskReference. These ant tasks can be wrapped with maven goals if needed.

Do we need to manually deploy the application at all region if we want to use Traffic Manager

I am little confused before I want to start work on Azure Traffic Manager.
Actually I have one site at East US. now I want to use Traffic Manager. so, I probably need to deploy the site on different region. take an example we deploy on East Asia and West US.
Now, we have same site deployment at 3 region. we can setup traffic manager based on loan balance/ round robin/ failover.
But the question here is Do we need to deploy the same site at all 3 region manually (one-by-one).
Through Visual Studio or FTP, we need to keep that deployment whenever we keep updating the site? Support we have little complex scenario where we create 3 traffic managers based on their each type (like load balance, round robin and failover) at top we
have 1 traffic manager where we have these 3 configured. each of these might have site in 3 different region then probably we will have around 1 same site at-least around 9 region.
So, whenever we have any changes, we need redeploy that on each region one by one?

Traffic Manager is separate from the underlying sites. So yes, you will need to manage the deployment of those sites separately from Traffic Manager. How easy or difficult that is depends on what kind of site you are using (PaaS? IaaS?
Websites?) and how it is architected (is there a back-end database?)
Traffic Manager supports the ability to enable/disable endpoints, which allows you to easily divert traffic away from a particular site whilst it is being updated.

How can I deploy an application in Tomcat 4.0.3???

i'm learning JSP now and I want to deploy a simple application in Tomcat 4.0.3 The JSP file has a "page import" directive that tries to connect to a Bean which is put in the /web-inf/classes directory. But when I try to load the page in the browser it says that it cannot load the bean. Is there any specification that should be made in some of the Tomcat's config files [server.xml ...]? Because I followed the example in the JSP Tutorial with the "hellouser" application totally and it still doesn't work. I only worked when I copy/pasted the content of my JSP file in the hellouser.jsp and the content of the bean in "NameHandlerBean.java" from the hellouser application.

You can simply open your server.xml file by
tomcat-Installiton-Directory/conf/server.xml
Open server.xml in some editor and search for a tag named "Context"
<context path="myApp" docBase="Path of your application"........>
then in your browser you can run your application like
http://localhost:8080/myApp/.....
where myApp is the name that you have specified in context path above.

Simple Question - How do I deploy custom taglibs to Oracle 9iAS r2?

Simple question.
There are lots of simple examples on JSP custom tags that have
a .tld file, a .java file with the handler class, and a .jsp
file that calls the custom tag to test it.
My question is, lets say I have a .tld file, a .java file and
a .jsp file for a tag example. How do I deploy them to
Oracle 9iAS r2? I'd like to code an example and deploy it,
but I'm stuck. I'm using Jdeveloper 9i, and have compiled the
.java file and included it and the .tld in a Custom Taglib JAR.
How is this JAR deployed to Oracle 9iAS, considering that the
Enterprise Manager only deploys WAR and EAR files? How do
a configure a web app to use the custom tags...
This should be simple -- maybe its too simple so I'm stuck!

How to Deploy J2ME applications with data in RMS?

Hello everyone,
I am designing a J2ME application, a simple "Who wants to be a millionaire game". It stores questions and answers from a rms datastore. I want to to how can I deploy this application with questions and answers in the recordstore. Each time I run the emulator, the data stored previously gets deleted. Is it possible to attach the rms recordstore along with the .jar or .jad files? If so how can I do it. Please help.

Thank you Sypress.. When I install it the code works fine. But I wanted to include data with the application. I think I found a way way. I added the data in a text file and while starting the application I inserted data from the file into the recordstore.
