How to manually start Autoarchive?

I have set my autoarchive as standard. run it every 14 days. and some subfolders are to be run every 7 days.
I have problems with my folders are now full and also I have problems that my Outlook is VERY laggy when autoarchive runs.
i wonder how i can manually trigger this autoarchive so I have more control of when it is runned.

I Googled "outlook manually run autoarchive" and this was the first hit. Not sure why though because it doesn't tell me what I was looking for.
If you're running Outlook 2010 like me, this is probably what you're looking for:
"If you wish to manually run AutoArchive now, go to the File menu and select Info, click on Cleanup Tools, then Mailbox Cleanup and then click on the Auto Archive button." (I
got it from here)

  • How to manually start telnetd service With Solaris 8

"ps -ef | grep telnetd", shows telnetd daemon is not running (though telnetd is listed and uncommented in /etc/inetd.conf). Checked /etc/services and /etc/hosts, but found no abnormality. How do I manually start up telentd service? Why telnetd failed to startup automatically upon system startup.

You're kinda are walking on your own comments ...
in.telnetd doesn't "run" at system startup. The inetd daemon controls in.telnetd and inetd is controlled by /etc/inetd.conf. Assuming in.telnetd is uncommented in /etc/inetd.conf, just run "netstat -na | grep 23" - you should see port 23 in a LISTEN state. inetd is doing the listening in this case. Once someone actually tries to connect to telnet on that server, THEN you'll see a in.telnetd process physically running on the box because inetd will fork off in.telnetd and hand the incoming telnet session to this new process.
P.S. don't use telnet unless you have some application that physically must use telnet to do something on a box. Disable telnet completely and use SSH.

  • How to manually start a WP on OS level

    Hi,
does anyone knows how to start a work process on OS level?
One of my WP "disappeared" and SM50 shows it as stopped and it cannot be restart from there...
Is there a way to restart it on OS level without restarting the whole SAP system?
    thanks
    Antonio

    Hi Antonio,
Coming back to your original question: There is no such way of starting a work process from the OS directly. As you might have noticed with a ps -ef, the dispatcher and work process share the very same code (you can see that they have the same process name), but the dispatcher is responsible for starting the work process and he has to flag internally that this new fork of this process will be an work process and not another instance of dispatcher.
About the heaplimit, this is not an error, it's just a cleanup task that the dispatcher does to clean heap memory usage. Everytime that your work process uses the value specified on abap/heaplimit, the work process will get restarted after it finishes it's activities.
If you are using an AS400, and your work process indeed restarts more than the as4/wp_max_restart, then the dispatcher indeed will not try to start this work process anymore. As the note states, if you are above the mentioned patch levels in the note, you can introduce this parameter on your profiles even tho it's not known in RZ11.
    Cheers,
    Maurício

  • Manually starting BIND

After installing Security Update 2007 - 005 I lost Internet connectivity on all of my clients and server. I read the update documentation and it alluded to BIND not being started at startup and that it should be manually be started. Does anyone know how to manually start BIND in OS X Server 10.4.9? Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

You could stop and start BIND in ServerAdmin.app or use launchctl to stop/start it in a root shell:
    launchctl stop org.isc.named
    launchctl start org.isc.named

  • How do I manually start a workflow to...

I have a list with 2000+ items in it. I create a 2013 workflow in SPD that will look at an item and if it date is less than 1/1/2013 it will create a copy of the item on a list used for archiving, then delete the existing list item.
My question is how do i manually start this workflow on the entire list (instead of selecting 1 item at a time)?

You can run the SCEPInstall.exe from the ConfigMgr client directory. The silent install can be triggered like this:

  • How can I start anew with Photos and clear the (minimal) stuff it has uploaded

I've about had it up to here with this new Photos scheme. I reorganised my Aperture libraries on both my iMac and MBA in preparation for this, delayed turning Photos on for a couple of days until I thought everything was ready based upon the limited advice that was out there, and then got stuck in an endless loop of "uploading" and "preparing" every time I opened Photos. There are 19,975 images in my Aperture library on the iMac. I was stuck at Uploading at anywhere between that number and 19,000 with no progress after hours of waiting. I tried all the tricks mentioned here including re booting, restarting the app, repairing/rebuilding the database, killing the "cloudd" process, etc.today Today when I restarted Photos, it now said I had 23,775 images to upload- 4000
more than I have-and of course it got stuck there, like it has for the last week.
I copied the previous Aperture library (pre Photos migration)back to my iMac and opened it in Aperture. Thankfully, all the photos I had taken on my iPhone this week during this Photos clusterphuck transition were in the Aperture Stream so I didn't lose any of those. I'm willing to give this whole thing one more shot. So  i need some advice. How can I start anew with Photos and clear the (minimal) stuff it has uploaded (about 6000 of 19,000 images in the last 7 days) ? If I simply delete the Photos.photolibrary file will that do the trick and lt me start a new fresh library using?

It is hard to say from your post, why the migration did not succeed in your case.
by "stuck on upload" do you mean, you opened the Aperture library in Photos, and Photos converted it to a Photo Library, and then the upload to iCloud Photo Library did hang?  Or did already the upgrade to the Photo Library fail?
If you want the Aperture library to upload to iCloud Photo Library, it needs to be on a disk formatted MacOS Extended (Journaled) and the original image files must not be referenced. Referenced originals will not upload.
Also, the upload may hang, if you do not have enough free iCloud storage, orr if one of the videos or photos in your library is in an unsupported format or corrupted.
To start over, try to repair and rebuild the Aperture library before opening it in Photos. Try all Aperture Library First Aid options - starting with repairing the permissions.  (Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual)
If I simply delete the Photos.photolibrary file will that do the trick and lt me start a new fresh library using?
You will have to delete the photos that are already in icloud too; otherwise you are risking duplicates.
Can you launch Photos at all?  If yes, delete all photos in Photos and empty the Recently Deleted album. Wait for the deletion to sync to iCloud. Then delete the Photos.photolibrary.

  • How to manually eject a CD on my 24" iMac.

    Dear guys,
Can anyone help to answer my question on how to manually eject a cd on my 24" imac. I inserted the Window XP Pro SP3 into my imac. Its started to run the os now cannot boot the system. Actually can anyone help to advise how to go about do the boot camp process. Great thanks.
    Please help....

If the mouse routine does not work. on some Macs, there is a little manual trigger in the extreme top of the disc slot. Carefully trip it with something like a straightened paperclip. It is just a fraction of an inch inside.
Your post is a bit cryptic. Did you actually follow the BootCamp process or just insert this Windows disc?
There is an entire Apple Discussion forum dedicated to Boot Camp and Windows.
Whereas, not everyone here with an Intel iMac has installed, tried to install or has experience with BC & Windows, everyone there has or at least has an interest. You may attract help more quickly there.
    The Forums are at the bottom of the main Apple Discussions page under Windows Compatible Technology. Here is a link;

  • How to manually create an iPod save with iTunes?

    Hello,
using iTunes and an iPod Touch, sometimes it happens that I want to have multiple save points available for restore in case something goes wrong with the iPod (e.g., losing notes, or forgetting which podcasts were present on the iPod, etc.)
I noticed that, somehow, such saves were generated at some point inside ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup; all three are named upn the same model, a long, hexadecimal-looking string, then "-date-time". All three are properly recognized in iTunes.
As I don't remember how these were generated, how can I start a new iPod save whenever it synchronizes? I set podcasts, contacts and calendars to sync automatically, and I manually add or remove films and music.

You can always right-click (control-click) on your iPod in the devices list of iTunes and select Backup.
From the manual, page 109: "Backups can be created in the following ways:
Once iPod touch has been configured to sync with a particular computer, iTunes automatically makes a backup of iPod touch on that computer when you sync. iTunes won’t automatically back up an iPod touch that is not configured to sync with that computer. If you have configured iPod touch to automatically sync with iTunes on a specific computer, iTunes will back up iPod touch every time you
connect it to that computer. Automatic syncing is turned on by default. iTunes only makes one backup each time you connect, even if you sync multiple times before disconnecting.
If you choose to update the software on iPod touch, iTunes will back up iPod touch automatically, even if it is not configured to sync with iTunes on that computer.
If you choose to restore the software on iPod touch, iTunes asks if you want to back up iPod touch before restoring."

  • Weblogic (10.3.4) & Forms (11.1.1.3) manual start linux

    Hi,
I am a complete newbie about Oracle Products. This is the first time I install an Oracle product. I never imagined that it will be that complicated.
    Goal: install Forms 11g
    How: I installed Weblogic 10.3.4 and tried to install Forms&Reports. I run a CentOs-64
Anyway, I tried to install Forms&Reports 11g but opmnctl failed to start during configuration and the installation failed. I unchecked Reports and the installation went well. Any clues ?????
Now, I have a forms installed without reports. That's ok for me. I modified the tnsnames.ora.
Do I need to restart my services. If so, how ?
If my pc reboots how can I start them manually ?
    Thanks in advance

First and foremost you should take a look if your platform is even certified:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/fmw-11gr1certmatrix.xls
I don't see CentOS there at all. You might get lucky as CentOS should be binary compatible to RedHat. However; you didn't mention a version number so this is difficult to tell. Instead of using your unknown version of CentOS you could use Oracle Enterprise Linux as well:
    https://edelivery.oracle.com/linux
100% binary compatible to RedHat, freely available and it is also a supported platform with installation guides. Take a look at the documentation:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/index.htm
Did you go through the documentation? If you didn't: as you have encountered the installation of OFMW 11g is not as easy as a doubleclick on a installer executable, so it is highly advisable to go through the documentation. If you have metalink (oh pardon: My Oracle Support) access you might look for installation advice there as well (cannot recite the note id's; however I am sure you know how to use a search engine ;) ).
    cheers

  • Manually starting Intelligent Agent Configuration Assistant and HTTP Listener

I have installed Oracle 9i on Solaris 8 and it stopped with an "Out of Memory" error during the Starter Database creation. I have fixed the memory problem and have now manually started the Database Configuration Assistant manually and managed to install a new database. Now I am trying to start the Intelligent Agent Configuration Assistant and the Apache HTTP Listener, but I cannot find out how to do this so that I can continue on with and complete the installation process from where I left off.
Do anyone know how to do this? I would appreciate any help that anyone can give.
    Thanks
    Anthony

Lets start with what product you are installing and why. An Oracle database installation, in and of itself, does not install an HTTP server.
Of course one might also wonder why you are, just now, installing software so old it is in desupport.
