</ROW>
<ROW num="2" key="column1">
<NAME>ALLEN</NAME>

<ENAME>SMITH</ENAME>
<JOB>CLERK</JOB>
<HIREDATE>12/17/1980 0:0:0</HIREDATE>
</ROW>
<ROW num="2" EMPNO="7499">

<HIREDATE>2/20/1981 0:0:0</HIREDATE>

</ROWSET>
how to known the column name?

I do not know what columns you are talking about, but in HTML you can merge two columns with the attribute COLSPAN="2".

  • How to use XML data stored in table column in XML Data Definition

    Hi,
    We are using BIP 5.6.3 (Oracle EBS R12).
    We have a table which stores XML data in a column. Is there a way we can use this XML data through a SQL query in XML Data Definition of BI Publisher report instead or writing whole SQL query to fetch same data from Oracle EBS?
    Can some please provide a sample SQL query that we should use in Data Definition?
    Thanks!

    Mark,
    Thanks. This is exactly what I was looking for.
    After doing @Name in both places (SELECT and WHERE clause) it worked.
    Now I have one more question.
    There are multiple DIMENSION tags in my xml, and I want to see the NAME attribute values for all of those DIMENSIONs. The following query returns
    ORA-19025: EXTRACTVALUE returns value of only one node.
    Cause: Given XPath points to more than one node.
    Action: Rewrite the query so that exactly one node is returned.
    SELECT
    extractValue(value(x), '/AW/@Name') as "AW",
    extractValue(value(x), '/AW/Dimension/@Name') as "DIMENSIONS"
    from
    OLAP_AW_PRC,
    table(xmlsequence(extract (xmltype(AW_XML_TMPL_VAL), '/AWXML/AWXML.content/Create/ActiveObject/AW'))) x
    where
    extractValue(value(x) , '/AW/@Name') = 'OMCR4'

  • How to format table column values to currency?

    All,
    I have bound a context attribute (type - string)  to a table column (TextView) which is used to display currency.
    It displays the value as 123456789.00
    How do I format the value as 123,456,789.00?
    Is there any FM available to format?
    I don't want to change the above context attribute type to CURR.
    Thanks
    Thruna

    >I don't want to change the above context attribute type to CURR.
    Why not?  That is the correct thing to do. That way you get formatting, sorting, even the correct decimal position and notation for different currencies and user settings.
    If you must go with string for the context attribute then I still assume your source data is type CURR.  When you 'move' this content into the string of the context attribute use the WRITE statement.  This will format the currency variable for output.

  • How to export table contents in xml file format through SQL queries

    hi,
    i need to export the table data in to xml file format. i got it through the GUI what they given.
    i'm using Oracle 10g XE.
    but i need to send the table name from Java programs. so, how to call the export commands from programming languages through. is there any sql commands to export the table contents in xml format.
    and one more problem is i created each transaction in two tables. for example if we have a transaction 'sales' , that will be saved in db as
    sales1 table and sales2 table. here i maintained and ID field in sales1 as PK. and id as FK in sales2.
    i get the combined data with this query,
    select * from sales1 s1, sales2 s2 where s1.id=s2.id order by s1.id;
    it given all the records, but i'm getting two ID fields (one from each table). how to avoid this. here i dont know how many fields will be there in each table. that will be known at runtime only.
    the static information is sales1 have one ID field with PK and sales2 will have one ID filed with FK.
    i need ur valuable suggestions.
    regards
    pavan.

    You can use DBMS_XMLGEN.getXML('your Query') for generating data in tables to XML format and you can use DBMS_XMLGEN.SETROWSETTAG to change the parent element name other wise it will give rowset as well as DBMS_XMLGEN.SETROWTAG for row name.
    Check this otherwise XMLELEMENT and XMLFOREST function are also there to convert data in XML format.

  • How to map more than one xml element with some Paragraph in a Text Frame

    Hi friends,
    I am new in InDesign Java Scripting and I have to place or map, more than one xml elements of different parents, into one textbox. Is it possible through JavaScript? Can anyone help me in this because I have no idea how it should work and it urgently required.
    Thanks in Advance

    I had answered to you already in your first post: the short answer is that it's not possible on the same text box unless you assign a common ancestor of these two "parents" item. That's not a question of scripting, it's the way Indesign handle the XML with the layout. Import a xml in Indesign and drop tags to page item. What you can do manually is quite representative of what can be done through scripting.
    If you assign this anscestor to the text frame, you have to expect that all text child items will be displayed in the text frame (including the text of all the child of the two "parents" and all the other parents/childs that could be under the common ancestor). Having a XML that is designed for Indesign usage is pretty much inevitable if you are doing anything "serious".

  • Mapping 3 columns to 3 attributes in the same element

    Hi,
    I have 3 columns which are not in a collection as part of my result set. I need to map these 3 columns to an attribute in my result xsd in the transformer.
    eg on the left I have :
    addrline0, addrline1, addrline2. On the right I have an element called ADDR with an index attribute, so I want the right to display
    <ADDRESS>
    <ADDR index="0">my address1</ADDR>
    <ADDR index="1">my address 2</ADDR>
    <ADDR index="2">my address 3</ADDR>
    </ADDRESS>
    this seems not possible in the transformer out of the box - is there a way I can achieve this ? I know that addrline0 will always map to index 0 and addrline1 always map to index 1 etc.
    thanks

    The way to do it would be:
    Assign the first one normally:
    <assign name="first">
    <copy>
    <from variable="addrlin0" query="pVariable"/>
    <to variable="ADDR" query="/tns:ADDRESS"/>
    </copy>
    </assign>
    then assign the following using :
    <bpelx:assign>
    <bpelx:append>
    <from variable="addrlin1" part="return" query="/pVariable"/>
    <to variable="ADDRESS" query="/tns:ADDRESS"/>
    </bpelx:append>
    </bpelx:assign>
    Instead of append you can also use InsertAfter or InsertBefore.

  • How to create table columns dynamically ?

    Hi All,
    I am working on an SSRS report that will show sales in the past 5 years. If the user selected to view sales of past 3 years he will only see 3 columns. so How can I create table columns dynamically at run time and how can I make sure that their dimensions
    will adjust to fit the report page size.

    Hi Developer life,
    According to your description that you want to dynamically increase and decrease the numbers of the columns in the table, right?
    As Jason A Long mentioned that we can use the matrix to do this and put the year field in the column group, amount fields(Numric  values) in the details,  add  an filter to filter the data base on this column group, but if
    the data in the DB not suitable to add to the matrix directly, you can use the unpivot function to turn the column name of year to a single row and then you can add it in the column group.
    If there are too many columns in the column group, it will fit the page size automatically and display the extra columns in the next page.

    If your still have any problem, please try to provide us more details information, such as the data structure in the DB and the table structure you are currently designing.
    Any question, please feel free to let me know.

  • How to stop table columns widths from drifting

    I discovered that all the columns widths of my tables change on their own,
    leading me with tables of different columns widths where I wanted to
    maintain a strong cohesion of presentation among them.
    Here is a scenario to reproduce and understand the problem:
    • create a new Pages'08 document;
    • insert a Table;
       the 3 columns of this newly created table are 5.49 cm width each.
    Problematic case:
    • change the first column width with:<pre> Table > Table > Column Width > 5 cm</pre>   and hit return
    • the column width will switch to 5.01 cm
    • the 2 other columns widths will have switched to 5.50 cm.
    Is there a technique, I didn't find yet, to define a table column to a
    fixed value so that Pages'08 won't make it drift and wont touch to
    other columns width?

  • How to Freeze Table/Column Header "without using additional scrollbars" ?

    hi people,
    I am hoping someone can help me here. I have a large table and would like to freeze the first row. Scrolling down the table "_*using the existing scrollbars*_" in the browser while ensuring the header rows are still visible (like Excel when you freeze panes). If you scroll to the right the header rows should stay frozen and not follow.
    I know there are other threads which talk about freezing table/column header, but my requirement is to have it "without using additional scrollbar".
    Thanks in advance,
    RAKESH

    Hi,
    there is no default key for this. You will have to code your own JavaScript for this. Also, I am not sure you want the column to be selected but a field in the column for the row you are in - correct ?

    Is it possible to snap the table columns to the longest entry then the remaining space be distributed to each column evenly?

    Yes, it is. Both column snapping and distributing space have been dealt with here in the past on a number of occasions. Searching the forum should turn up several useful approaches.

    Hi all,
    I am working on the CRM business partner creation by using Interactive adobe form with following steps:
    1) Uploaded the offline Interactive adobe form  to online interactive adobe form via WebDynpro ABAP;
    2) Capture XML data into corresponding BAPI structures;
    3) Save all the changes to database via BAPI.
    The adobe form contains customer information as well as several table views which are bind with the context created in WebDynpro: Node NEW_BP_NODE cardinality 1:1 with single attributes and table type attributes (1:n): COLOUR_COMP, MEN_COMP etc.

    Hi,
    Just follow these steps:
    1. Create interactive form UI element in your view.
    2. Now provide Datasource and PDFSOURCE to it in form properties.
    3. Now give a template name prefix with 'Z' or 'Y'.
    4. Double click on it. It will prompt for interface name.
    5. Provide interface name prefixed with 'Z' or 'Y'.
    6. Click on Context button in the Pop up window and provide the node you have selected as DATASOURCE.
    7. Click ok and it will open the form designer.
    8. In this way you can create a XML Schema based Form.
    9. Activate the interface and design the form providing layout type and other details.
    Hope it will help.
