How to map the Resultset values to multiple tags on target strcture
Hi All,
We have an UDF ,whihc is returing Resultset . How do we map/extract the each element of resultset to diffrent fields on the target strcure in graphical mapping.
Let me know,if any blog exist for same.
Thanks for your support and advice.
MK
Hi,
you should be having some condition based on which you will map your resultset values to different target fields.......so have that condition as an input to your UDF in graphical mapping.............then use this condition value in your UDF and output the data which should come on this condition in the resultset..........then in graphical mapping, map your target fields with this UDF and condition and output the UDF output to the target node.........

JDBC to FILE scenatio: How to map the resultSet?
Hi,
I am doing the JDBC-XI-File integration scenario.
I am getting the data from the Database as the following XML:
<b><?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
- <resultset>
- <row>
<EMPNAME>Nagarjuna</EMPNAME>
<EMPID>100</EMPID>
<SALARY>15000</SALARY>
<DEPT>dev</DEPT>
</row>
- <row>
<EMPNAME>Mahendra</EMPNAME>
<EMPID>101</EMPID>
<SALARY>25000</SALARY>
<DEPT>dev</DEPT>
</row>
</resultset></b>
how to do the mapping?
I actually created a Data Type(JDBCSend_DT) & Message type & Message Interface for the Sender JDBC.
The mapping program I defined was not between <b>JDBCSend_MT</b> and <b>FileReceiver_MT</b>. (NOT BETWEEN resultSet and FileReceiver_MT)
Please help me to solve this.
Thanks in advance,

How to map the method action return value directly into screen using variables?
Hi,
My JDev version is 11.1.1.6.3.
I have a 'MethodAction' defined in PageDef file, that goes to model layer and return String value. As this needs to be executed during initializing of pageDef, I have also added an 'InvokeAction' for that.
<executables>
<invokeAction id="invokeSayHelloId" Refresh="ifNeeded"
Binds="sayHello"/>
<variableIterator id="variables">
<variable Name="Name" Type="java.lang.String"/>
</variableIterator>
</executables>
<bindings>
<methodAction id="sayHello" InstanceName="HrAMDataControl.dataProvider"
DataControl="HrAMDataControl" RequiresUpdateModel="true"
Action="invokeMethod" MethodName="sayHello"
IsViewObjectMethod="false"
ReturnName="data.HrAMDataControl.methodResults.sayHello_HrAMDataControl_dataProvider_sayHello_result">
<NamedData NDName="pName" NDValue="Michael John" NDType="java.lang.String"/>
</methodAction>
</bindings?
Requirement:
I want to map the return value of this method action directly into screen by making use of PageDef variables.
Question:
I. I need to know how to map this return value direcly as exprssion against PageDef variable.
2. If Question 1 is achievable, assuming the method action returls List instead of String (I know well it returns 2 items), can I map the 1st Item against Variable 1 and 2nd Item against Variable 2 directly?
Thanks in Advance.
RaguThanks Frank, but If I directly map the MethodAction's result to UI, there are chances where it might get executed whenever I refresh the UIComponent (UIComponent to which the methodAction result is mapped. Isn't so??). Instead, If I invoke the MethodAction using InvokeAction, I can get the control on when it should get invoked (using RefreshCondition). If I assign the variable to UIComponent (Assume I've mapped the method action result to variable using expression), refreshing of UIComponent will not cause any performance issue I feel.

How to map single context value attribute to multiple value attributes?
Hello,
is there any way to map a single value attribute
from view's context into several value attributes
in controller's context?
The business context of what I want to achieve
is the following: I have a view which can be called
in two modes: read only (RO) and read-write (RW).
The input parameters to the view are the same for
both modes, however when in RO mode, the view calls
a different set of web services than when called
in RW mode. Before calling each of the web services
I need to populate their context value attributes
with appropriate input values.
I know I can do it in Java code, but is it possible
to do it without any programming (doing it in the
source code is prone to errors)?
Any help highly appreciated.
Greetings,
Tomek.Hi Kishore,
than you very much for your kind help.
I have already created a value attribute of type
boolean and mapped it into the read-only property
of the UI elements. This however does not solve all
of the problems... I will describe it with an
example:
Let's say the form I want to implement will be
used to: create (read-write mode), update (read-
write mode) or show (read-only mode) customer's
data. The customer's data is complex (lots of
data, including tree structures).
The problem is that:
- when the form is called in read-only mode,
it should populate its fields with values
provided by the getCustomerData web service,
- when the form is called to create a new
customer (in read-write) mode, it should
not use the getCustomerData web service.
Instead it should map the input values
entered by the user into input parameters
of the createNewCustomer web service,
- when the form is called to update customer's
data, it should first display values returned
by the getCustomerData web service, and then
it should map the modified values entered by
the user into input parameters of the
updateCustomer web service,
In all the above cases I must map my view's
context data to different controller's context
elements. Doing it directly in the source code
is not a nice solution. Is there any other
way to achieve this?
Calling a form in different modes in not an
unusual thing, so I was hoping that maybe
there are any built-in mechanisms that would
solve the obove problem...

How to Map the Unit field in case of DSO and INFOCUBE
Dear Experts,
I have a issue ,Please help me to solve this
I have DSO as provider ,
And, i have to map transformations btw the Datasource and DSO.
In generic Data source, i have unit fields like BASME,MEINS (Quantity units) & STWAE (currency field)
and normal Quantity fields like KWMNG,OAUME(quantity related),OAUWE (value related).
In DSO data fields as Key figure info objects like 0Quantity (which have 0Unit as unit of measure) and some other key figures which have there respective unit of measure in info object definition.
So you Please tell me how to map the Quantity ,Amounts, unit fields to key figures that we have.
(How it will be for both DSO and Info cube is there any difference?)
Edited by: AnjunathNaidu on Jan 18, 2012 1:20 PMNavasamol ,
If it is works ,will u please tell me what is the difference ,if the transformations btw data source and DSO and
what is the difference btw data source and info cube and btw DSO to Infocube or cube to cube .
And i have seen the Quantity fields and there respective unit fields are mapped directly to key figure info object
in case of Info cube . Its working fine .
If only 1:1 mapping allowed in DSO data fields key figures and there respective unit of measure characteristic.
why this difference btw DSO and Info cube can any one explain me in detail.
Expecting your valuable suggestions.
Thanks & Regards,

How to use the prompt value in the report column
Hi
I have a report prompt column which is 'Adj Type' which holds values 10,20,30 and when user selects Adj Type = 10 then this value should be passed to report column.
For Eg. Column 1 value is 10 and this should multiple with prompt value and the output should be 10* 10.
Any thoughts how to capture the prompt values in report column for calculation.hi hsekar,
1) Declare a presentation variable in prompt under the Set Variable section -->Presentation Variable -->P_var
2) In Fx Table_name.Your_column * @{P_Var}
@{P_var}{20} ( 20 is default value it will override when a user selects value in prompt

How to calculate the individual sums of multiple columns in a single query
Hello,
Using Oracle 11gR2 on windows 7 client. I have a question on calculating sum() on multiple columns on different columns and store the results in a view. Unfortunately I could not post the problem here as it keeps on giving error "Sorry, this content is not allowed", without telling where or what it is! So I had to post it in the stack-overflow forum, here is the link: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16529721/how-to-calculate-the-individual-sums-of-multiple-columns-in-a-single-query-ora

ThanksLooks like you want a simple group by.
select
yr
, mnth
, region
, sum(handled_package)
, sum(expected_missing_package)
, sum(actual_missing_package)
from test
group by
yr, mnth, region
order by
yr, mnth, region;I wouldn't recommend storing your data for year / month in 2 columns like that unless you have a really good reason. I would store it as a date column and add a check constraint to ensure that the date is always the first of the month, then format it out as you wish to the client.
CREATE TABLE test
year_month date,
Region VARCHAR2(50),
CITY VARCHAR2(50),
Handled_Package NUMBER,
Expected_Missing_Package NUMBER,
Actual_Missing_Package NUMBER

Hi All,
Am using OPENROWSET to load the file data into table, here the problem is i need to map same input value to two different columns of table, As format file doesn't allow the duplicate numbers am unable to insert same value to two columns, please help me to
find a solution for this.
i can use only OPENROWSET because i need to insert some default values also which come based on file. only the problem is how to map same input value to two different columns of table. please give me the suggestions.
Thanks,
SudhakarFrom what you say:
INSERT tbl(col1, col2)
SELECT col1, col1
FROM OPENROWSET(....)
But I guess it is more difficult. You need to give more details. What sort of data source do you have? What does your query look like? The target table?
Erland Sommarskog, SQL Server MVP, [email protected]
Hi Erland,
Thanks for your response
my source file is text file with | symbol separate for ex:
1002|eTab |V101|eTablet|V100|Logic|LT-7|Laptops|SCM
Database table have columns like
column1,column2,column3...etc, now i need to insert same value from input file into two columns for ex:
the eTab value from text file has to be insert into column2 and column3 of
table
we cannot change format file like below one
for the above situation how can we insert eTab into column2 and column3
Thanks,
Sudhakar. -
How to find the FND_PROFILE.VALUE(ORG_ID) in custom apex schema
Hi,
How to find the FND_PROFILE.VALUE('ORG_ID') from dual in custom schema......
Actually I have integrated Apex 4.2 version with EBS r12
select FND_PROFILE.VALUE('ORG_ID') from dual ; in apps schema I m getting 198 value
but the same query(select apps.FND_PROFILE.VALUE('ORG_ID') from dual ) in custom schema (XXCVBB) returning null value..
Is there any pre steps I have to do...
kindly provide the useful inputs to retrieve the profile value..........
Regards,
PavanHi,
fnd_profile.value('ORG_ID'); will fetch you value only if there is a organization assigned to any application [or only if its a single Org], being it custom application you should have used set policy context or mo_global.init to populate the global temporary table which will hold all the Org's which that specific user has access too.
in your custom code use MO_GLOBAL.SET_POLICY_CONTEXT('S','ORG ID WHICH YOU NEED TO SET');
after setting the policy context, you should be able to see value from fnd_profile.value('ORG_ID');
Hope this Helps!!
MO_GLOBAL.SET_POLICY_CONTEXT
This procedure has two parameters
p_access_mode
Pass a value "S" in case you want your current session to work against Single ORG_ID
Pass a value of "M" in case you want your current session to work against multiple ORG_ID's
p_org_id
Only applicable if p_access_mode is passed value of "S"
MO_GLOBAL.INIT
Purpose of mo_global.init :-
It will check if new Multi Org Security Profile is set, to decide if new Security Profile method will be used.
If the new MO security profile is set, then mo_global.init inserts one record, for each Organization in Org Hierarchy, in table mo_glob_org_access_tmp

hi
i am new to programming... i would like to know how to get the column values... i have a resultset object
i need code .... asap
thnx@OP: It is always good to type complete sentences and describe your problem at length. It helps in letting people know what you really need instead of making wild guesses or silly jokes. You post mentions that you get the ResultSet. Then you should look up the API docs for java.sql.ResultSet and take a look at the getxxx() method signatures. Use the ones which suit the specific case.
Besides, it is good to refrain from using asap and urgent. Even if something is urgent to you, it need not be urgent to others. Wording a question properly would attract better replies.
Finally, would you mind getting down to specifics of your problem? From what I perceived, the JDBC tutorial and the API docs should provide all the information you need. -
How to set the intial value in dropdownbyindex?
Hi All,
I have a small problem for initializing the dropdownbyindex value.
I have created Dropdownbyindex and map the texts value from context value attribute here Context attribute is in inside the three nodes. how can I capture the inside value attribute and how to intialize the value.
My Context nodes are --MainNode
--childnodeOne
--childNode2
--valueAttribute.
The above way my context node strucure and I have mapped this value attribute to dropdownbyindex for this how to initilze the value.
Advance thanks.
Kris.Hi
Assumung you have context structure as follows:
MainNode(Cardinality 1..1, Sigleton)
|_ChildNode1(Cardinality 1..1,Non Sigleton)
|_ChildNode2(Cardinality 0..n,Non Sigleton)
|_ValueAttribute
As you said that you have mapped the value attribute which is inside three nodes.
You can create the values as follows:
e.g.
for(int i =0;i < 5; i++)
IChildNode2Element cn2 = wdContext.createChildNode2Element();
cn2.setValueAttribute("VA"+i);
wdContext.currentMainNodeElement().nodeChildNode1().currentChildNode1Element().nodeChildNode2().addElement(cn2);
This will create 5 values in the drpdown.
Now to initialize the value you can set the leadselection for the node ChildNode2:
e.g
wdContext.nodeChildNode2().setLeadSelection(3);
This will display the 4th value in the drpdown ibitially.
To get the value currently selected in dropdown you can write something like this:
wdContext.currentMainNodeElement().nodeChildNode1().currentChildNode1Element().nodeChildNode2().currentChildNode2Element().getValueAttribute());

How to map the node which i have created dynamically into the view
Hi All,
Many thanks to all ur answers in advance.
I have created a node dynamically.I want to display the fields which i have fetched in that node.
i dont know how to map the node which i have created dynamically into the layout of the view.
Other than Using ALV is there any other way to do.
for example usin table controlHi,
use the reference variable of view to access the corresponding UI element and then use the method of that UI element to do data binding with context node.
for ex:
Context node = flights
element = inputfield, ID = inp_name
data view type ref to if_wd_view.
data lr_inp type ref to cl_wd_input_field.
lr_inp ?= view->get_child_element( ' INP_NAME' ).
use following methods of input field to define the data binding.
SET__DDIC_BINDING( )
BOUND__PROPERTY( ).
BOUND__PRIMARY_PROPERTY( ). " for input field it is value property.
Get the reference of view from wddomodifyview method as importing parameter(view). Store this parameter as controller attribute.
Thanks,

How to update the table value in the valuechange event?
I have an input field in the datatable with the valueChangeListener
<rich:dataTable id="cart" value="#{cart.cartList}" var="item">
<h:inputText value="#{item.cost}" id="qty" valueChangeListener="#{items.updateCost}" onchange="submit()">
<h:outputText value="#{item.errorMsg}"> </h:outputText>
in the backing bean
Item item = (Item) model.getRowData();
// do some update, if the cost too larger, change to max_cost
item.setCost(max_cost);
item.setErrorMsg("Error Msg");
After calling the valuechange method, the screen output doesn't update the cost.
How to update the table value in the valuechange event?As you're misusing the valueChangeListener to set another input field, you need to skip the update model values phase. Otherwise the value set in the valueChangeListener will be overridden by the submitted value. You can do this by calling the FacesContext#renderResponse() inside the valueChangeListener method. This will shift the current phase immediately to the render response phase, hereby skipping the update model values and invoke application phases.

i have one database table called "sms1" that table is updated every day or on daily basis it has the following fields in it:
SQL> desc sms1;
Name Null? Type
MOBILE NUMBER
RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER VARCHAR2(39 CHAR)
SNO NUMBER
INDATE DATE
From this table the is one column "RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER VARCHAR2(39 CHAR)" . I am splitting it into different columns like :
SQL> desc smssplit;
Name Null? Type
R VARCHAR2(2 CHAR)
C VARCHAR2(2 CHAR)
S VARCHAR2(1 CHAR)
TC VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
TC2 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA2 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
TC3 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA3 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
TC4 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA4 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
WTHER VARCHAR2(10 CHAR)
SNO NUMBER
INSERTDATA VARCHAR2(25 CHAR)
Now I am written a procedure to insert the data from "Sms1" table to smssplit table...
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE SPLITSMS
AS
BEGIN
INSERT INTO scott.SMSSPLIT ( R,C,S,TC,NA,TC2,NA2,TC3,NA3,TC4,NA4,WTHER,SNO)
SELECT SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,1,2) R,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,3,2) C,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,5,1) S,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,6,3) TC,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,9,3) NA,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,12,3) TC2,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,15,3) NA2,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,18,3) TC3,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,21,3) NA3,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,24,3) TC4,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,27,3) NA4,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,30,10) WTHER, SNO
FROM scott.SMS1 where SNO=(select MAX (sno) from SMS1);
END;
Now in order to update the second table with data from first table on regular basis I have written a job scheduler and I am using oracle 9.0. version...
DECLARE
X NUMBER;
JobNumber NUMBER;
BEGIN
SYS.DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT
job => X
,what => 'scott.SPLITSMS;'
,next_date => SYSDATE+1/1440
,interval => 'SYSDATE+1/1440 '
,no_parse => FALSE
:JobNumber := to_char(X);
END;
Now this job scheduler is working properly and updating the data for every one minute but it is taking or updating the duplicate values also ..like example:
R C S TC NA TC2 NA2 TC3 NA3 TC4 NA4 WTHER SNO
