How to map tracks to different channels

Dear all,
Im struggling quite a lot to map a composite of 6 tracks to channel A, 3 tracks to channel B and 9 tracks to channel C, I cannot find the way to do this. Could anyone specify me how to do this ?
I need to map tracks to whatever channel i want on a 5.1 session. Track panner doesnt work for me because i want to map for example 10 tracks to one channel, using the track panner i can just map one track.
Thanks,
Manuel.

Try the Channel Mixer effect.  It is basically a matrix router.

  • How do I reassign tracks to different channel strips? The option is not available to me via the "Assignable Checkbox"

    Hello,
    I'm new to the world of sound production and Logic Pro X and have recently encountered a problem in that I cannot reassign tracks to different channel strips via the assignable checkbox. I looked at the problem in the Help section that Apple has provided, and "found the solution." All I have to do is right-click or control-click the track header and click on "Reassign Track" as demonstrated in the following link: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12919
    However, when I control-click the track header, the option "Reassign Value" is not even an option, and my screen appears as follows:
    Note that above "New Audio Track" there is no option to "Reassign Value" like in the link above. I have checked, and I seem to have the latest versions of Logic Pro X and my OS is up to date.
    Does anybody think they have a solution? I'd really appreciate it.
    Thank You!!!

    You need to enable the Advanced Features in preferences.

  • How to Map messages having different namespaces

    Hi Experts,
    I am facing a problem while developing a simple process using process composer in CE 7.1 EHP1.
    The process has only one AutomatedActivity that invokes a WebService (MyWS.wsdl). The WebService operation takes an input as a BusinessObject defined in the same namespace as the web service i.e. http://samples.mycompany.com.
    I imported the MyWS.wsdl in the project. This has imported the service interface and the data types into the project.
    Then I defined a web service (StartProcessSI.wsdl) to start the process. This service has only one operation "StartProcess". This operation is supposed to take the same BusinessObject as input which will be passed to MyWS web service.
    But I was not able to use the data types from MyWS.wsdl in StartProcessSI.wsdl. Hence I defined the same data types with different namespace (http://bo.samples.mycompany.com) in StartProcessSI.wsdl.
    In the process, I have assigned the StartProcessSI service interface to the Start event and added a DataObject of type http://bo.samples.mycompany.com/BusinessObject in the process context. The OutputMapping of Start event is done since both the data types are from same namespace i.e. http://bo.samples.mycompany.com.
    Coming to the automated activity I am facing the mapping problem. The BusinessObject in the process context is from namespace http://bo.samples.mycompany.com/. Whereas the input parameter of the operation of the web service is from namesapce http://samples.mycompany.com/.
    The structure of the data types is exactly same. The only difference is the namespace. When I map these data types in the InputMapping or OutputMapping of the AutomatedActivity, it shows error (red cross on the mapping) "Incompatible expression type".
    How can I handle this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Christian.
    But can you please explain using a small example.

  • How to download the same song(track) with different keys? iTunes seems to think I have already downloaded the song and will not download the song in a different key of the Demo Track

    How to download the same song(track) with different keys? iTunes seems to think I have already dowloaded the song and will not let me download the song in a different key or the Demo.

    Hello Jigz19,
    It sounds like you are unable to play a couple of songs from your library becuase you get a message that the computer is unauthorized to play, but other content purchased that same day works without issue. I would verify that the affected songs were purchased with the same Apple ID first:
    Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1920
    Open iTunes
    Highlight one of the items you have purchased (You can find your purchases in your Purchases playlist).
    Choose File > Get Info.
    Click the Summary tab.
    The Account Name area will list the account used to purchase the item. Unless you have changed accounts, this is your iTunes Store account name.
    If so, then delete the songs:

  • How to transmit counter input data of different channels simultaneously?

    Hello.
    I'm using X-series PCIe-6361 DAQ board which have 8 DMA channels and Labview 8.2.1. I upgraded the version of DAQmx as 9.0 which supports the X-series devices and confirmed the board worked normally on my system.
    I'm trying to measure the pulse width continuously from 4 different pulse trains with CMOS level. The frequencies of signals are same but the pulse width and phase are varying with respect to time.
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/9376
    From the tutorial page of NI X-series, I saw the following expression "X Series also includes eight DMA channels to stream data directly
    between the device and PC memory without CPU interaction or additional
    programming effort. These eight channels provide parallel data streams for the analog I/O, digital I/O, and all four counter/timers."
    But when I started the Labview programming, I realized that the counter functions of different channel cannot be put into a single task. So I couldn't help but separate the read functions into 4 individual tasks and there are timing differences in data transmission between channels up to 250 micro-sec because of the sequential running.
    How can I eliminate the timing difference and realize parallel data streams for the counter?

    Check out these links. I hope that they help!

  • How do I balance L&R channels of a track?

    Is there a way I can automatically get both stereo channels balanced?  If not, how do I manually make one channel louder/quieter?  There's only the option to alter it during playback but not of actually physically changing it.  Thanks, sincerely.

    I can see how what I wrote made it seem like I didn't know how to split. Sorry about that, but thanks for the tips.
    Well, with a combination of your answer and me still playing, I figured it out. The problem was I needed to create two nodes where I wanted to begin the volume increase and two nodes as the end. By just putting one node at each location, it was raising the volume of the entire track. With two, it increases just that section.
    Thanks!

  • How to generate several different waveforms on different channels

    Hi,
    I want to generate 4 different waveforms on 4 different channels synchrounously on an external trigger. How can I archieve this
    with WFM_OP?
    thx for help
    Brickwalker

    Are your channels on the same device, or different devices? If they're on the same device, then you'd just use one call to WFM_Op. If you're using multiple devices, you can't use WFM_Op, because it is a synchronous function. You'll have to use the lower-level WFM_Load & WFM_Group_Control asynchronous functions.

  • Am I able to record 3 mics on different channels or tracks simontaniously?

    I want to be able to record 3 or 4 mics on different channels or tracks simontaniously, will this software capture audio as different tracks?
    I know I can record the tracks seperately and cut them togheter... but can I do it live with different feeds?
    If NOT with this application, is there ANYTHING on Apple that will do it?

    Okay, so Logic can handle it. Now, what hardware or interface can feed 4 different mics to four different tracks (ie: I dont want to have just one track with all 4 people on it, but rather a track with one person, etc).
    The reason I want to do it this way is so I have "POST" event ability to bump up volume, edit, add effects to diffent people with out having issues...
    Is this possible? Is there equipment out there that can handle this? I keep getting people that want me to just drop ONE track and do all my mic levels on ONE TRACK... AAARRRRRRGGG!

    How to acquire from various AI channels simultaneously with a different range for each one?
    In LabView I have found some examples but in C there isn't seem to be any.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Or you can add channels one by one with individual instructions: the follwing code compile and runs with no errors on a vitual daq device:
    err = DAQmxCreateTask ("", &taskH);
    err = DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan (taskH, "Dev1/ai0", "AI0", DAQmx_Val_Cfg_Default, -5.0, 5.0, DAQmx_Val_Volts, "");
    err = DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan (taskH, "Dev1/ai1", "AI1", DAQmx_Val_Cfg_Default, -10.0, 10.0, DAQmx_Val_Volts, "");
    DAQmxStartTask (taskH);
    err = DAQmxReadAnalogF64 (taskH, 5, 10.0, DAQmx_Val_GroupByChannel, val, 10, &read, 0);
    DAQmxClearTask (taskH);
    Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.

  • How can I get 2 different track from iTunes playing on 2 different stereos?

    We are remodeling a part of our home and decided that this would be the time to install a whole house audio system. We would like to use our iTunes library as a source and be able to play different tracks in different parts of the house (also called zones)
    To put it in a slightly different fashion. I could have a dedicated Mac Mini with my iTunes library and it would feed tracks with meta data to 3 stereos in various parts of the house. Each stereo independently select tracks or playlists.
    iTunes purchased tracks need to work as well.
    Thank you all....

    What you need is to use one Mac (or PC) as a server (and storing all the music) and then one of the following in each room connected to that rooms HiFi system.
    Sonos ZonePlayer see http://www.sonos.com this is the most expensive option but is regarded as the premier multi-room solution.
    Roku SoundBridge see http://www.rokulabs.com (I have three M2000 SoundBridges myself)
    Slim Devices Squeezebox see http://www.slimdevices.com
    Apple TV see http://www.apple.com/appletv (unlike all the above this will require the use of a TV)
    With these, different rooms can play different tracks at the same time with them all stored on the single computer.

    Hi there,
    I'm wondering if there is an easy way to route the L and R signal of a stereo track to different busses independently?
    I used a workaround with split-stereo files but there must be another way of routing the signals.
    Any idea?

  • Configure TC and Airport Extreme Base Stations with different channels

    I had to do some serious workarounds to use the Airport Extreme Base Stations as an access point with the same wireless network name primarily due to channel overlap.  I thought I would post my results here since I didnt' find a good article online.
    Also, I found the Snow Leopard verison (5.4.2) of the Airport Setup Utility far superior to Lion's Airport Utility (6.x) in terms of advanced setup.
    Setup is a 3 flloor house where the 3 wired network locations have wireless overlap.  The problem was that the access points would not hand off the wireless signal because the channels for each airport/TC were automatically set to the same channel.  In non-apple setups, this is how you force a wireless client to switch access points (since the wireless software on your client/mac/windows can detect which access point is stronger and moves to the alternate channel.
    Using apple's "Extend this wireless network" option removes any ability to manually configure wireless channels.  I am writing this from memory, so feel free to ask questions and I will track this topic:
    Procedure
    Setup time capsule as your base station.  Do all the setup for your wireless and guest networks.  Manually configure the network and change the wireless channel to a specific channel for a/b/g networks (e.g., 3) and n networks (e.g, 167).
    Plug your first airport extreme/access point into your wired network.  Do not plug it into the "internet" ethernet plug, use one of the 3 ethernet switch locations
    Use the airport utility to first configure it to "extend" your wired network.
    Then, go in and reconfigure it manually in the airport utility.  Choose the option to setup a "new network" and name the network the same as the TC wireless network name, security, etc.
    Change the channel from "auto" to a different channel than the TC (e.g., 6 and 137).
    Now go to the top tab and click on the "internet" icon
    Go to the DHCP tab and change it to "bridge mode."  This will tell the AE to not give out IP addresses (the TC will do this for you).  If you get an error that the IP ranges conflict, you have not done this
    Note that if you have a guest network setup, you will need to set this up on the AE as well.
    Now test your airport setup.  Take your client (macbook, iOS device) and connect to your network.  Move to a spot near the TC and pull up a web page.  Keep an eye on the signal strength and beginv moving toward the AE.  Refresh the page as you move around.  You should at some point see the signal strength increase.  Refresh your page again.  You should be now connected to to the AE.  I have found that Macbooks do a better job than iOS devices because you get an extra signal bar to measure strength, and they have larger antennas which allows you to better measure problems with handoff
    Another test you can do is to start backing up on your TC and then test the move.  The handoff will truly show you that the TC is handling the process but the AE is relaying to the TC for backup.
    If you need to setup another AE, simply follow setups 3-10.
    I hope this helps others.  I've done this setup 100 times on Linksys devices and although they are cumbersome, they at least allow me to do this setup much more quickly and easily than the apple products.
