How to mark incoming mail as "junk"?

How can I mark incoming mail as unwanted? And consequently block the address of the sender?
Thanks

Sorry, but there is no junk mail filtering on the iPad, and no way to block a sender. Your ISP may provide such filtering capability as part of their email hosting service; most do, particularly those that have a web interface to your mail account.

How can you tag mail as junk on my iphone?

If you have updated to iOS7, this is incorrect.
To mark and file your mail as junk on iPhone, do this:
When looking in your mailbox at the list of emails:
    1. Choose the email you wish to send to Junk (do not open it)
    2. Swipe it to the left.
You will see on the right 2 choices: Trash or More.
    3. Choose More
Now you will see the choice to move it to Junk.  When you do this it will create a Junk folder for that mailbox.

  • How to show incoming mails in CRM Interaction Center?

    Experts,
how can we show incomming ele. letter  for m.-direction of CRM USER in Interaction center.
An example: I am interaction center agent. I am sending a correspondence to my client. In my user (SU01) i have saved my direction.
    The client receives my e m a i l with my e m. direction saved in SU01. He answers.
Now, I want this m. to go to my interaction center inbox. What do I have to do?
    Hoping for help,
    Cristina

    hi christina,
If i understand you correctly (plz correct me if i'm wrong)
You want the incoming mails to appear in the agent's inbox.for this you will have to assign either one common e mail id (for eg: heldesk at company.com) which will be shown to the customer in his e mail inbox.
Similarly when he replies back to this e mail the e mail will be visible to all the agents in their Agent inboxes.(Standard practice)
If you are working on CRM 5.0 this can be acheived as follows:
1.Take BASIS help for creating the common e mail ID
    2.maintain the settings
    IMG>ICWC>Agent Inbox>Settings for Asynchronous Inbound Processing>Define Receiving E-Mail Addresses/Fax Numbers
3Map Item Attributes to Inbox Attributes
follow C-78 SAp best practices to set it up
    hope this helps
    Regards

  • ICloud falsely marks some mail as junk

iCloud Mail has started classifying all email I receive from Second Life as junk. Those email are marked as junk and move to the iCloud Junk folder.
I would rather filter my email on my iMac.
I have tried "training" iCloud Mail by logging into the web interface and manually clicking Not Junk. I read that this would stop marking email from that address as junk. However, the return addresses are 'tokenized' ([email protected]im.agni.lindenl ab.com) so the next message from that person will have a different address.
I don't see any setting to whitelist the domain (@im.agni.lindenlab.com) or to disable junk mail filtering altogether in iCloud.

    Try the following first.
Go to Mail > Preferences > Junk Mail and deselect "Enable junk mail filtering".
    Quit and re-launch the Mail.app.
Go to Mail > Preferences > Junk Mail and reselect "Enable junk mail filtering".
FYI - the Junk Filter learns in the same way regardless if set to Training or Automatic and continues to learn when set to Automatic if working properly.
I would also switch Junk Mail from Training to Automatic and after doing so, go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Mailbox Behaviors tab for the account preferences (for each account), there is an "Erase messages in the junk mailbox when:" selection.
Setting Junk Mail to Automatic will provide a Junk folder in the mailboxes drawer below the Trash folder. An account named Junk mailbox under Junk will be created automatically by Mail for each account that has previously received a message that was automatically or manually marked as junk.
When set to Automatic, any message that is automatically marked as junk when received will be automatically transferred to the account's Junk mailbox getting this garbage out of the account's Inbox mailbox. You can set each account's Junk mailbox to be automatically deleted after one day or one week as desired to give you adequate time to check the Junk mailbox for any valid messages that were incorrectly marked as junk when received marking any valid messages as not junk and moving such a message back to the account's Inbox mailbox.
Keep in mind that purging each account's Junk mailbox after a reasonable period of time aids in the Junk Mail "learning" process.

  • How can the incoming mail section on an iphone5 disappear? I can send messages but cannot receive them. Shouldn't there be an incoming section like the outgoing mail server section?

I Haven't received incoming email for nearly a week now.  I have checked the settings and the only thing that isn't there is the INCOMING MAIL SERVER section.  The outgoing mail server is there and is correct.  How can I get it back so that I can enter the mail server?

    Hi Olivier,
Thanks very much for that. it worked on my powerbook(running Tiger). I went to the link and followed the instructions and it worked. Did i mention that my dad who has a iMac running Leopard now has the same problem. I thought i would just do the same but the Preference in Mail for Leopard is of course different. There is no icon called "Server Settings" under Accounts section like there is on mine. Do you have a link for the same kind of instructions for Leopard?
    Thanks again,
    Bryce

  • How to block incoming mail with internal domain as sender

    Hi all,
Ironport accept incoming mail to internal domains defined in the RAT without verify the sender domain is the same internal domain.
To avoid this I have used a message filter to drop those mails. I can't use the bounce command to avoid to be considered a spammer.
Is there a way to reject those mails with a 5xx error message?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Andrea

    Securegroup,
jloehler is absolutely correct, when I configure appliances (personally I use a 1 listener config) I set the Default Mailflow Policy to Use the Exception Table ("On") and insure that all incoming mail policies (anything with the ACCEPT action) is set to "Use Default" for this parameter. Then I double check to insure that the RELAY policy is set to "Off" because you don't want to reject outbound messages due to the Exception Table.
Once I've verified that the RELAY is off and Inbound policies are "On" I then populate my exception table with all the internal domains and specify the reject action. Now a quick take away is that the Exception Table only performs the rejection based on the SMTP MAIL FROM not the "From:" header internal to the message itself.
Now with all that said it never fails that there is some internal group that uses 3rd party marketing which spoofs the internal domains so I usually create a new incoming mail flow policy with the Exception Table turned "Off" and create a Sender Group call DOMAINSPOOFLIST which are IPs and Domain names that I allow to spoof internal e-mail addresses with the new mail policy assigned to it.
    And that's it.
    Sincerely,
    Jay Bivens

  • How to stop incoming mail?

    Hi!
I would like to stop *incoming mail* on the iBook G4. All I want is send. Is it possible? I read something about +Server Admin+. I don't know what it is and where to find it. I thought of creating rules for all accounts but I don't know if it's the right way to do it. It is becoming increasingly difficult to manage the mail system through 4 computers.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Hmmm, interesting question, only thing I can think of at the moment is in Mail Prefs to wipe out the incoming Mail server and log in, then in Advanced deselect Check this account for incoming mail automatically for this account.
Perhaps just in advanced, unchecking Remove Mail from Server on all but the Main one, they'll all get it still, until the main Mac does.
IMAP if available could solve this also.
EDIT: Took me too long t post, glad you found it though!

  • How to delete incoming mail without opening

I receive many bogus e.mails pertaining to come from various banks of which I have no connection. I like to delete these without opening but to delete them it seems you have to open them first. Any help with this issue would be appreciated. Thank you.

I think you are over-worrying. TB doesn't run scripts in messages, so unless you click on anything, it can't launch covert content. You could switch off HTMl to prevent webbugs.
You should find that right-click then delete will do the job.

  • HT4897 How to separate incoming mail from an alias

Is there any way to isolate the messages coming in from an alias e-mail account? I would like to be able to click on the alias account from Mail on my iPhone or Mac to see just those messages - the way you would if you had a secondary e-mail account from an outside source. Is that possible???

Go to the Mail page at http://icloud.com and create a new Mailbox. The click on the cogwheel icon at top right and choose 'Rules'. Create a Rule to move all messages addressed to the alias to the new Mailbox. This Mailbox will appear on your devices and you can select it to see the messages to the alias.

  • I suggest, that it would be nice, if there is a "Mark read" button in notify (about an incoming mail).

    Hello!
    I've got a suggestion.
When a new email comes there is a notify popup.
There is just "x" button on it.
So, the notification is active, until I open an email.
But I do not need to open all emails I receive.
So, it would be nice if there is a new button "Make read" in an popup, and in notification icon right button menu in future versions of Thunderbird.
    Best regards,
    Oleg

There is a way. First, Firefox is only a browser. It sends and receives
data and displays it on your screen.
    The problem is at Live Mail. Here is what to do;
Open your mailbox. Now open your mail options. In the options you
will find how to sort incoming mail.
There is also a filter that when active, only sends mail from those
you choose to go to the Inbox. All other mail is sent to the Junk folder.

  • Incoming mail auto marked as already read.

Just upgraded to IO6. My email Inbox appears to mark incoming mail as Already Read and so I don't receive notification alerts for new emails. Any ideas?

This can be quite easily fixed if the iphone has a toggle to leave a copy of the email on the server. This will allow you to download the email from
another program like Outlook etc and you wont need mapi. Outlook 2003 has this toggle option under advanced settings.
The issue with this is the email on the server never gets "read" so occasionally you need to go directly onto your mail server and clear out the mail.
Please join me in requesting this as an enhancement request.
    Rgds Steve.
