How to master to a DVCPRO50 deck

I'm mastering to a DVCPRO50 deck, Panasonic SD-93 and my question is, do I need to have the timeline settings set to DV50? My usual timeline settings are DV/DVCPRO NTSC. I normally master to a Sony DSR40 onto DVCAM and when I used those same settings to go to the SD-93 the video image is pixellated.
Advice, tips or a solution are appreciated.

If you are firewiring to the deck then your deck setttings and sequence settings must match. If you are going out SDI with 422 controll the deck will record what ever it's set to, 25 or 50.

In the infocube you have the key. Then you have a text master data table that has as key (for the table) the key of the value (the one in the cube) and the language, and the text in that language as another field (short, med, long).

How the master data delta works

i want to know how the master data delta (ale pointer) works? what the principle is? for example, the 0asset_attr datasource has 20 fields, any of the 20 fields changes can triger the delta? if i enhance 3 fields to the asset master data, does the 3 fields change can trigger delta?

Application Link Enabling (ALE) change pointers are configured and used to be able to trigger processing of an outbound process, such as data extraction, and determine only those Master Data records that have changed. This is all done without the need for a program being required to determine deltas.
SAP delivered program, RBDMIDOC runs periodically and deterlines if change pointers have been updated for specific message types. New or modified Master Data records are automatically initiated via ALE. RBDMIDOC references the correct IDoc program for any given type via TBDME (the TBDME table also cross-references message types with the ALE change pointer table) so that the data goes where it should and is processed accordingly. Tcode BD60 is the interface in SAP for maintaining the TBDME table.
When a change is made to the standard content Master Data record, the delta will be identified. Any columns that have been enhanced to the Master Data will not be identified as a delta because enhancements are a post-extraction process and only get updated after the standard content structure has been populated.

Recording to a DVCPRO50 deck with timecode from timeline

Hi, does anybody knows how to to a print to tape or edit to tape, and send the timecode from the timeline and use this as a timecode reference for a deck?
Ex. from FCP5 to DVCPro50 using Firewire, the deck is set to EXT tc and using VITC, but only clips with no effects or slowmotion will send out tc, but the send out their own individual timecode from the original tape....
so how to set up FCP or the deck to use tc from the timeline....!
Otherwise U can not output with program start at a given exactly time..

Well, I got my AJ-1200A machine today, and there is one setting to use SLTC for external Timecode...
Then I get the timecode from the timeline over firewire... And it works great!
But my 930 machine (DVCPRO50) do not have this option, any ideas?

How do I use a recording deck with Logic?

Hey Guys,
I bought Logic Express with my mac at the end of 2008 and have since been using it with the built in mic on the mac. Recently though I have bought some song backing tracks and want to record higher quality. I bought a small mixing deck, 6 main ports. I figured I would plug the deck into the headphones port in the back of my imac, then the mic and headphones into the mixing deck. When I use logic though, It doesn't pick up anything from the mic, it just goes though the built in mic. HOW DO I FIX THIS!!???
I would be greatly indebted to anyone who can help me.

The headphones port outputs audio signal from Logic. Plug the mixer into the lin-in port.

How to make a Bose sound deck access iTunes?

I am a real novice and this one is a bit around the houses, but I'd be grateful for any insight anyone can give me!
I bought a Mac Pro dual core about 3 years ago now. At the time I requested an Airport card, but when I got it home, it was not installed. My router ended up being right next to the computer so I connected by ethernet and forgot about it.
We moved quite recently and this became an issue. The wireless router is on the ground floor and the desktop, in the loft conversion! I explored retro fitting an Airport card, but I was told it was difficult and expensive (should have got the apple store to sort it out originally...). Anyway I ended up using a Netgear wireless extender, on the middle floor to boost the Virgin wireless router, with an Airlink dongle in the Mac's USB port, to get the internet in the loft.
This works fine (most of the time...). BUT and heres the issue today. My husband just bought a Bose Sound deck 10, which is on the ground floor. He wants to be able to play his music from iTunes (which is in the loft). He has today bought an Airport Express, thinking this was going to link up nicely. I can see how it could with the airport card, which we don't have. However it does seem that we should be able to make Airplay work, but the Mac can't see the Airport Express. Can I somehow use my extended wireless network of Netscape extender and Airlink dongle, to make this work??? I can't seem to find a way to access it.
Or can anyone suggest a better way to do this? Not sure if its relevant, but he has downloaded Remote from the app store to his iPad, to enable him to play his (vast) music collection on the Bose. the iPad can see his iTunes account from downstairs - so that distance doesn't seem a problem. Just back to the issue of how to get that music to play through the Bose.
I hope this makes sense. I am 8 months pregnant, so not a lot does right now to be fair. He's in a bit of a grump about it and I know if I don't sort it now...!!!

If iTunes doesn't recognize a set of iOS device backup folders as valid then the chances of rescuing any data from them are slim. There are various iOS device backup extraction tools that may or may not do something useful, I've not had reason to test them.

How to master audio file handling? Where is the logic of Logic?

1. How can I master where to save my logic project files including audio?
2. I want to save a project as a template WITHOUT the recorded track files. When I open the new template I dont want to have all old audio in my "media"browser inside Logic! How?
3. I have one old project with a lot of audio of which only a few are used, yet when I try the cleanup function only a few are erased. Why?
4. How to save a project so that ALL the files used are saved inside that project folder. In Protools and Cubase you can erase all material you dont use.
5. I want to have all my audio saved in ONE project folder but they end up scattered somewhere else, what to do?
I can never get used to the apple/logic sense of file structure. Crazy! Where is the logic of Logic? /Helpless to the logic of Logic 8

This can depend on how you did the "record down to a stereo file".
If you routed tracks to bus channels, then recorded the bus to another track, Logic will include the count-in in the audio file. As you say, the region in the Arrange will be correctly "trimmed".
One solution would be to convert these bounced regions to new audio files (Audio Menu), another to use Bounce Region (or track) in Place.
Alternatively, use a manually placed "2 pop" 2 seconds before the start of each cue.

How handle Master with dynamic Detail

Hello!
I have the following issue and will explain it on a little example:
I have one "invoice"-object and many "invoiceitems"-objects in a collection (classic master - detail).
I must dynamically set the where and ordering - clause for the invoiceitems.
How can i do this or what is the best practice for this issue?

The TopLink Collection mappings support ordering, and you can also control exactly how members of the Collections are selected. However, if the contents of a Collection depend on some external characteristic (other than the identity of the Collection's owner), then it sounds like you need to manage this Collection manually (ie have the parent Object query for it's child Objects using some parameterized query and some context sensitive set of arguments).
If you want an Object to "automatically" build a Collection then you need a sure fire way of determining what the contents of that Collection are going to be from information contained in the parent Object.

How purchasing master data setup impact CO costing run

Question 1:
Could somebody out there, if you have this area of integration knowledge with CO, tell me the detail process and logic of how, when a costing run is perform, the master data in the Material master fields of Procurement Type and Special Procurement Type; Purchasing Information Records; and Source List impact the successful of costing run?
Question 2:
CO guy complaints that there are missing PIR and source list for following type of material setup in material master:
A) procurement type - F, Special procurement - blank (i.e. third party)
B) procurement type - F, Special procurement - NON-blank (i.e. can be intercompany, subcontract, vendor consignment),
Hence Costing run unable to determine the price. Is it a valid complaints

Though Costing is realted to the price control , cost lot size and valuation class in Material master.
It almost equvalent dependent on Special Procurement type also is costing view and MRP view.

Repost from soundtrack pro forum: advice needed on how to master a dj mix.

i posted the info below on the soundtrack pro forum and someone suggested i use waveburner to master my dj mix after it's been recorded:
when i record a mix in soundtrack pro, it's 1 long song. sometimes certain parts of the mix come in at a lower volume than other parts because some records or songs aren't as loud as the previous song that it was mixed out of.
how can i bring up the volume on the lower parts and make them equally as loud as the other songs? or, how do i level out the volume without making the mix sound worse?
any advice on getting the EQs and other settings right would be appreciated.
if anything's not clear, please let me know.

How to master reset my computer if I wanted to sell it and if I downloaded OS X 10.8.2, how do I re-install it?

I want to sell my 2010 Macbook Pro so I could afford to buy the new Macbook Pro with Retina display. How do I get it ready to sell? Also, I am getting nervous because my computer is going really slow and it's freezing. I already verified the disks, cleared out my files, trash, and also erased all my history and cookies and such. Also, I downloaded the new software, I bought it online through Apple, how do I re-install it onto the master resetted computer?

If you are going to sell your MBP, you should install the OS that it came with. I suspect that would be Snow Leopard in your case. Insert the original Install disk and when you get to the step where you see the menu bar on top, click on Utilities. From the drop down menu select Disk Utility>Erase and erase the HDD. Then continue the install until it is completed.

How to export into XD Cam Deck

Hi all,
I am using the latest Premiere CC and a Sony XDCAM PDW-F1600 deck. I'm trying to control that deck so that I can write to an XDCam disk. I am not trying to make a file or do any form of dragging onto an XDCam disk. Rather I'm trying to do what one would do on Avid DS for example where you can write to an XDCam disk, this includes using on-screen controls to control the deck, set your in point at a certain timecode on the disk, and write to that disk.
Just a note we are using an AJA breakout box if this is of any use.

Any advice on how timecode then works on the disc?
Let's say I drag two 30 second spots, exported from two different sequences, to the disc. When I play the disc back in a deck, how would the timecode be determined by the deck? The way I see it, this could get confusing if both of your sequences for the two spots started at 00;00;00;00 and both are dragged to the same disc.

How Consolidated Master Data Gets Linked to the Transactional Data?

Hi,
Suppose we have three legacy systems holding customer master data. We fetch the data from these three systems into MDM and consolidate the records. Let's say there were three customer master records:
CUST123, John James, 123 Elm Street
CT00123, James, John, 123 Elm St.
0000123, John James, 123 Elm Street.
We merge them in MDM and create one record
NEWCUST123, James, John, 123 Elm Street
Question is: How the transactional data from the three legacy system will be mapped to this new customer master record? How the purchase orders will know that CUST123 is now NEWCUST123 ? When this mapping happens in a project and who does that?

I agree with Anil on that,it is the same reason for which few projects have key mapping repository in place,which holds the key field mapping information telling them that this Customer number means this in the Legacy system.
Well manual intervention is required as PR/PO which is active should be closed before such an activity.

How Unlink Master Pages from Each Other

When I create a new master page, even if it isn't based on an existing one, changes I make in the order of layers in that master page are applied to the other master pages as well. And when I change the order of layers in other master pages, the order changes in the new one. Please help me unlink these. I've found mentions that this can be done, but not specific instructions for how. Thank you!!!!

On your new master page, Shift+Command+Click on the item you want to change. You can then drag it to a new layer from within the layers pallet by dragging the colored dot next to the layer it's currently on to the layer you would like it to be on.

How does Master Data delta works.

Can any body please explain me what is data flow in master data delta.Are the ale change pointers utilised , if yes how..And is delta queue used in master data delta.

As you may be aware of this, ALE Change pointers are used to minimize the no of records to be sent to the extracting systemextractos. in other words the master data delta is been handled this way. It is better that you read the following that should be giving you some idea.
