How to "maximize" a minimized window with keyboard?

Say I am using Firefox and minimize it with apple - m. Then i use apple - tab to check MSN. Now I want to go back to Firefox, and therefor uses apple - tab. But now the windows in minimized and I have to press it with the pointer in the right bottom corner. Isn`t there a keyboard shortcut to get it up on the screen again?
Off topic: Is there a button similar to "delete" in windows to erase letters when the "pointer" is in fron of the letter you want to erase?

  • How to use Two main windows with in a page in script ?

    Hi any body explain me...
    How to use Two main windows with in a page in script ?
    with  header data in one main window,
    & Item data in other main window.

    HI..,
    u need to go for <b>SPLITTING THE MAIN WINDOW</b> !!!
    Main windows in page windows allow you to format text in multiple columns. Define an area in the page window, in which to position the main windows.
    Here is the procedure !!
    -->Create a page window and assign it to a page.
    Choose <b>Edit --> Main windows</b>.
    A dialog box appears.
    -->Enter values in the fields <b>Area width</b> and A<b>rea height</b> in accordance with the input guidelines for main windows.
    -->Enter values in the fields <b>Spacing</b> and Number in the <b>Horizontal group</b> if you want to use multiple columns. You can ignore the fields in the Vertical group.
    Determine how many columns and line areas are required for label printing. Then enter the corresponding values in the fields in the <b>Horizontal and Vertical groups</b>.
    -->The value in the field Left margin varies from main window to main window if multiple columns are used. The following applies:
    <b>
    Left margin of current column + Window width + Horizontal spacing = Left margin of next column</b>
    In label printing, the field Upper margin also varies from main window to main window:
    <b>
      Upper margin of current main window +  Window height + Vertical spacing = Upper margin of next main window</b>
    -->Enter a value in the field Start position.
    This is a counter. Enter a starting value which is equal to or greater than 1.
    -->The main windows are added to the list.
    -->Save your form.
    reward if it helps u...

    Huh.. Interesting. I went back to check these proceedures and found there is a difference between using the return key or the space bar as the action command.
    tabbing the blue ring moves the selection and then spacebar takes that action. The return key takes action of only the blue collored button.

  • How to maximize a browser window?

    Can't seem to figure out how to make a Safari window fill the entire screen.
    Or how to vertically or horizontally tile Safari windows.
    Or a keyboard shortcut to maximize a window I'd hidden previously.
    Or how to get my browsing history to display in a convenient always-on-screen tab. Or even how to access the History dropdown menu without using the mouse constantly, which used to save me so much time and hand/arm movement.
    ...All things that were remarkably simple in IE and that I took for granted until a day or two ago.

    Hello par:
    Sorry, incidentally, for my snippy post. It was 11:30 last night, and I think I was tired. Apple users who have been through the bad and good times tend (me too) to be a bit defensive (and yes, superior) to any comparison of Apple software to the stuff from the behemoth from Washington. As a bit of background information, Microsoft used to support a version of IE for the Mac. They dumped that about three years ago. Many of us (me too) hunted for options and I fell in love (figuratively speaking) with Safari.
    I use Firefox once in awhile as an alternate browser. There are a very few web sites that do no play well with Safari. The developers either do not write to standards or, worse yet, use code that is Microsoft-specific. Firefox is pretty friendly and has a feature that, when you first install it, allows you to import all of your bookmarks.
    F9 allows you to show all of the open windows at once (ones that are hidden under other windows.
    F10 brings all windows (except the active one) to the front.
    F11 hides all open windows.
    I am the world's slowest typer, so I use the mouse extensively (for me, oddly enough, it is faster).
    One nice thing you will find about software written for Apples (OS X) is that code is not shotgunned all over your system (unlike Windows). When you wish to uninstall something without an "uninstaller," a simple "find" will locate all the pieces of the program. Then dragging to trash dumps it. By the by, while I am giving gratuitous advice, do not delete any system software unless you are sure it will not harm other parts of OS X.
    I am like you in the sense that I avoid cluttering up my iMacs with a whole bunch of code. In my case, (touching wood) I have not had a software problem for a couple of years. Apple's pre-release testing has significantly improved.
    P.S. Ask away if you have questions in the future. You will find, I think, that this is the best on-line community anywhere - and virtually everyone is a volunteer.

  • How to create a dialog window with no button that opens along with the main window?

    When the main window is open, the dialog window opens up immediately and can be closed by key press. At other times, when the next step, ie: decision, comes to, the another dialog window pops up again and is again closed by key press. Does anyone know how to do? Use the sub-Vi? notification method? occurrence method?
    And another thing: how to create a reusable dialog window with no button so that different messages can be sent to it and it can closed by key press. And how to pass the string to the title of the dialog window programmatically?

    For your functionality (If I understand it right), nothing needs to be in the event structure. Pressing any key just triggers the event, thus finishing the VI (there is no while loop).
    Could you tell me what you mean my "it won't run properly"? Make sure that the front panel of the subVI is closed before starting the main VI. Remember that the subVI is set to "open when called" and "close afterwards if originally closed". So, if you had the panel open already, it won't of course close when finished!
    (Actually, the problems is worse when you have the subVI panel open when starting the main VI. you get a catch22 and labVIEW locks up because (1) the subVI is set to dialog and grabs all attention but (2) it has not been
    called, thus the event cannot be triggered. So don't do that!!!! As a quick workaround, add the modification shown in the attached image to ensure the panel of the subVI is closed.)

  • How to maximize a popup window?

    Hi,
    My issue:
    A popup contains data larger that the screen size, it therefore maximizes itself, meaning that it sets its WIDTH to 100%. But this is most unfortunate as WD does not recognise its own scrollbar as the end of the available screen and now the close button (cross) of the popup is beneath the scrollbar!
    When doing a "true" maximize by clicking on the button left to the "closing cross", it recognizes scrollbars and stays visible in total.
    My question:
    How can I programmatically access the maximize/fullscreen function? Interface IF_WD_WINDOW does not provide a corresponding method as far as I can see...
    Already tried:
    ...please no "put width and height to 100%" as I already stated that this is not what I want...
    Also setting width to 95% or the likes does not work, as the popup automatically sets 100% on refresh if there are to large contents.
    <br>
    I would appreciate your help on this!!
    Kind Regards,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
    You can do any size related actions in POPUP, Actually we have SET_WINDOW_SIZE Method to set window size,
    But for popups it wont work.
    Please check this thread, check Thomos reply
    Re: Confirm Popup in Web Dynpro, window size

  • How do I connect to Windows with the Firewall turned on?

    I'm able to connect to the 2 Windows boxes on my home network with ease when the firewall is turned off. Once I turn the firewall on, I'm unable to connect. *What do I need to do to have the firewall on and still be able to connect to these computers?*

    Well, I think I figured it out. Under Preferences-->Sharing, I clicked "File Sharing." Then I clicked the "Options" button in the lower right and selected "Share Files and Folders Using SMB." When I went back to the Firewall control under Security, File Sharing (SMB) was listed as having access. Seems to work now.

  • W/zoteroinstalledwedo a window,open() followed by a window.close() in tha window. Zotero remains and the window is still open. How do I close the window with zotero present in FF w/o disabling zotero?

    the js function to window.open() is in pageAA on a tab.
    We click the form or link to open the popup to run a video.
    We have a close button on the popup window.
    When that is clicked the window.close() js is executed on that page leaving Zotero present and the popup still open.
    We've tried using close() window.close() name.window.close() and
    all fail the same way.
    Short of disabling Zotero is there a way to close the popup in FF and any other addons with one shot?

    Thank's but still no fix.
    In safe mode everything works.
    Without Zotero - everything works.
    When the popup is loaded with Zotero, the tab shows a constant "Loading" with the circular in process icon.
    The Zotero icon shows to the left of the tab.
    If I right click on Zotero and close it, the close() js works properly
    Is there a way to do a window.open() with:
    A. no tabs -or-
    B. block all add on's -or-
    C. to kill an add on
    before doing the close()?

  • How to open a new window with no Portal Header and Portal Navigation bar

    Hi,
    I am working with the EPCM.doNavigate() method and passing the value "1" for the mode parameter in order to open it in a seperate window without the Portal header.
    For some reason, the Portal header is still seen in the new window.
    Do anyone know the reason?
    Thanks,
    Aviad
    int openType = 1;
    "EPCM.doNavigate(\""Url"\", "openType"); \n"

    Hi Aviad,
    Try out the command
    EPCM.doNavigate(\""Url"\", "openType",'toolbar=no','status=no','menubar=no');
    <b>Put opentype=1</b>
    I think it will work

  • How to  display a popup window with tables values to input

    hi experts,
    I need to display a popup  displaying values of table in UI.
    Is there any function module to dispaly a popup.

    Hi Ashwini,
    There is no function module to call the pop up in CRM UI.
    You need to follow following steps:
    1. Create an event handler for your click event on which you want to call this pop up.
    2. Create a Z component with a table view and in the table view, define the context nodes and attributes you want to use in the  pop up view.
    3. In the .htm coding of this view, define the layout and buttons you want on this pop up view.
    4. Go to Runtime Repositry, create a ViewSet, ViewArea and in this View Area add the table view you created just now.
    5. Create a MainWindow in the Runtime repositry and add the same table view you created.
    6. Now come back to the main Component and add Component Usage (e.g CUXYZ) .......
    7. While Creating the Component Usage, mention Component Name as your Z Component name and in the Interface View, choose MainWindow from the F4 help.
    8. Go to event handler method of your main Component/View and create separate methods for creating your pop up and handling the close event of the pop up as well.
    For seeing the coding, you cna refer to any standard pop up handling and do the coding in similar format.
    I hope this will helps you.
    Thanks

  • Shortcut for opening a minimized window?

    Is there a short cut for opening a minimized window for an application? I know alt tab lets you rotate through open applications, but I haven't figured out how to open a minimized window with a shortcut. Thanks in advance!

    Personally I use the Hide command in a program to hide the window, not a minimize command to the Dock, but just literally hides the window. Then if you use the Alt + Tab command to select the program you want, the hidden window will return like you are looking for. Hope that helps.
