    Trouble with pages app:
can't figure out how to maximize the space on the page by increasing the column width
I have 3 columns and they have spaces btw them that I cannot close the gap on.

Whatever the version, you can click on the gutter figure and edit it.
Click once on the column and a second time on the Gutter measurement.

  • HOw to maximize a portlet on click of a link.

    Hi,
Can some one help me as to how to maximize a portlet on click of a button?
I am calling Page A.jsp to Page B.jsp.
in the .jpf file, in the method which is being used to render Page B.jsp contains
the below mentioned code. Do I have to do something extra or this much code is
    enough?
    //maximize portlet view
    PortletBackingContext context = PortletBackingContext.getPortletBackingContext(super.getRequest());
    context.setupStateChangeEvent(WindowCapabilities.MAXIMIZED.getName());
    Regards
    Rakesh

I think you may have to set the 'Can Maximize' property on the portlet
    to 'true'.

  • How to add JPanel in  JComboBox?

    Hi.
How to add JPanel in JComboBox...?
    Regards
    Bilal

I do not know much about Cardlayout.
As far as I know, it is a layout which let you assign a serveral 'card' and exist together. By consider the order of the card, you could change the view of each page by using method- first, last, next etc. However, I would like to know what if I got a number of buttons, say A B C D E F, and having cards called a b c d e f,I know I could change from a to b, but what if I want to change from c to e by pressing the button E (assuming it showing the c card now).
Actually, I was able to create the code now which adding one JPanel to another now. First create a JPanel with prefer size, min max size.
then add a JPanel into the CENTER of the above JPanel, both using borderlayout.
But having a little difficulties, could I add more JPanel into the CENTER such that one overlapping each other, by those Buttons, through action and event, hide those which I do not want to show?
    Like A B C buttons, a b c panels. When press A hide b c and show a, so on.
Could I use method like movetofront(something like that, forgot detail which read in a book) to do this?
    Cheers

  • How to maximize a Form

How to maximize a Form ?
I want to set my Form in full-screen mode.
    Set_window_property (... MAXIMIZE ) does'nt work...
    Please Help...
    Thanks

    Yes I know.
I can maximize and minimize my Window but I can't have it in full screen mode directly at start of the application.
User must maximize his window himself.
I want to have my window in full-screen directly.
    Any idea ?

  • How to maximize Windows

In Safari, I can minimize the size of window by typing Control-M,
question: how to maximize the window size with keyboard shortcut? I found that clicking the little green button at the upper left corner difficult.

You can't. No such function in Mac OS.
Try searching MacUpdate or VersionTracker for a third-party utility.
Zoom button (green button) toggles between a user set state and the smallest size that completely displays the content of the window.

    Solved!

    Hello!
There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) Application Memory, 2) Device Memory, and 3) Media/SD Card Memory
Application Memory -- This is the most crucial; it is the protected (not user accessible), dedicated, and fixed (in size) space that is available as the destination for the installation of applications (plus some application storage, overhead and such). You cannot touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can only install here...there is no option.
Device Memory -- This is space on your BB that you can touch to store files, pictures, media, etc. Typically, it is not terribly large, but it is available to you.
SD/Media Card Memory -- This is what it says...your SD card, for you to store files, media, pictures, etc. It can be as large as your BB OS can support...see this KB:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05461
On some devices/OS levels, you can only see "File Free" (Options > Status), which I think is equivalent to AppMemory. On other devices, you can see all three memory usage levels (Options > Memory). Here are some guidelines to use:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15345
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14320
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14213
Lastly, it is always important to properly close applications when you are done with them. Using the Back or the Red key will not do this -- those leave it to the app to decide what to do...and some will leave themselves resident in memory, consuming resources on your BB, slowing the overall performance. Rather, to close an app, press and select "Close" or "Exit"...that will force the application to be closed, freeing up for your new use the resources it was consuming. Some apps will always remain running (typically -- BBMessenger, Browser, Homescreen, Phone, and Messages)...but, you should still close them properly - especially the Browser...if it is left on an active web page, it will not only consume extra resources but battery power as well.
Further, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a regular basis as a preventive measure...some as frequently as once per day. Others have obtained the QuickPull app to automate a simulated Batt-Pull.
    Best!
    Good luck!

  • How to find JPanel viewable or drawing area size

    hi,
I have a two small question. First one is, I have a JPanel what I need is to find the viewable area size or the drawing size of the Panel. I don't want to get the size of the Title bar. All I need is how to find the actual drawing area not including the title bar. I know how to get the total size of the JPanel, I just needs to know how to get the drawing area size where you put your components. e.g. if the size of my Panel is (300,300) then it also includes the title bar and the border too. But I need to find or get only the area size where we actually put our components.
Another question is how can I get the size of my Title bar means the width and height.
I'll really appreciate for any help
    Thanks

    Er... what's wrong with panel.getSize()?

  • How To Maximize Frame in my Freeze Window

    Hi All,
I have a freeze window sample.
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=68056:1
    WS: dev_ws_100
    login: test01
    passwd: abc123
How do I maximize the width and height so that the window fits in the monitor screen? I tried screasing the with to 1000 x 1000 but the page is still small.
    Thanks a lot,
    Kinz

Yup, that's the definition of 'to maximize'; of course you can set the size and the location of the frame explicitly if you want ...
    kind regards,
    Jos

  • How to make JPanel as JTable Cell Editor (Urgent help needed)

    Hi!
I want to make JPanel (with a JTextField, 3 JLabels and 1 JTextArea) as cell editor for one column. Can somebody help me on this?
Does anybody have any sample code? I will greatly appreciate ur help.
    Thanks,
    Snehal

Okie. In "How to use JTables" page found in the JAVA website (there is a link from the JTable section of the JAVA API documentation), there is a sample code for a sample color chooser. What this does is, adds a button with its action listener set to pop up a color chooser window. In this, rendering is still through a JLabel.
This example would be of good help to you. Plus, this example gives me a feeling that what u ask is possible.

  • How to maximize the Report Previewer

    Hi,
I'm using Forms and Reports Builder 6i. I'm having problem when launching the report previewer from forms when I use ASYNCHRONOUS. The previewer are not launching sometime on top of the forms. More often the previewer is minimize. Also, how can I make the previewer maximize?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
The property "Before Report Value" is meaninfull only when the output format is HTML or HTMLCSS :
    http://www.oracle.com/webapps/online-help/reports/10.1.2/topics/htmlhelp_rwbuild_hs/rwcontxt/props/pi_rpesc_before_report_value.htm
The Before Report Value property specifies a header to appear at the beginning of your document when the report's paper layout is run to HTML and viewed in a Web browser.  This property has no effect on the Web source.

  • How to maximize a popup window?

    Hi,
    My issue:
A popup contains data larger that the screen size, it therefore maximizes itself, meaning that it sets its WIDTH to 100%. But this is most unfortunate as WD does not recognise its own scrollbar as the end of the available screen and now the close button (cross) of the popup is beneath the scrollbar!
When doing a "true" maximize by clicking on the button left to the "closing cross", it recognizes scrollbars and stays visible in total.
    My question:
How can I programmatically access the maximize/fullscreen function? Interface IF_WD_WINDOW does not provide a corresponding method as far as I can see...
    Already tried:
...please no "put width and height to 100%" as I already stated that this is not what I want...
Also setting width to 95% or the likes does not work, as the popup automatically sets 100% on refresh if there are to large contents.
    <br>
I would appreciate your help on this!!
    Kind Regards,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
You can do any size related actions in POPUP, Actually we have SET_WINDOW_SIZE Method to set window size,
But for popups it wont work.
Please check this thread, check Thomos reply
Re: Confirm Popup in Web Dynpro, window size
Check using set_window_size.. but can't effect.
How to reduce Popup Window Size?
As suggested saravanan, check SAP NOTE also.
    Cheers,

  • How to maximize a browser window?

Can't seem to figure out how to make a Safari window fill the entire screen.
Or how to vertically or horizontally tile Safari windows.
Or a keyboard shortcut to maximize a window I'd hidden previously.
Or how to get my browsing history to display in a convenient always-on-screen tab. Or even how to access the History dropdown menu without using the mouse constantly, which used to save me so much time and hand/arm movement.
...All things that were remarkably simple in IE and that I took for granted until a day or two ago.

    Hello par:
Sorry, incidentally, for my snippy post. It was 11:30 last night, and I think I was tired. Apple users who have been through the bad and good times tend (me too) to be a bit defensive (and yes, superior) to any comparison of Apple software to the stuff from the behemoth from Washington. As a bit of background information, Microsoft used to support a version of IE for the Mac. They dumped that about three years ago. Many of us (me too) hunted for options and I fell in love (figuratively speaking) with Safari.
I use Firefox once in awhile as an alternate browser. There are a very few web sites that do no play well with Safari. The developers either do not write to standards or, worse yet, use code that is Microsoft-specific. Firefox is pretty friendly and has a feature that, when you first install it, allows you to import all of your bookmarks.
F9 allows you to show all of the open windows at once (ones that are hidden under other windows.
F10 brings all windows (except the active one) to the front.
    F11 hides all open windows.
I am the world's slowest typer, so I use the mouse extensively (for me, oddly enough, it is faster).
One nice thing you will find about software written for Apples (OS X) is that code is not shotgunned all over your system (unlike Windows). When you wish to uninstall something without an "uninstaller," a simple "find" will locate all the pieces of the program. Then dragging to trash dumps it. By the by, while I am giving gratuitous advice, do not delete any system software unless you are sure it will not harm other parts of OS X.
I am like you in the sense that I avoid cluttering up my iMacs with a whole bunch of code. In my case, (touching wood) I have not had a software problem for a couple of years. Apple's pre-release testing has significantly improved.
P.S. Ask away if you have questions in the future. You will find, I think, that this is the best on-line community anywhere - and virtually everyone is a volunteer.
