How to maximize page

Hi,
I am new to Mac system. I just bought an iMac.
I just encountered 3 problems. Please forgive me if this has been post before.
My 3 problems are:
1) How to maximize the page in Safari to occupy the whole screen ?
2) Why do I getting drop signal from my wireless modem ?
3) How do I check the signal strength ?

To maximize the page just grab the lower right hand corner of the screen and size to suit.

Hi,
Can some one help me as to how to maximize a portlet on click of a button?
I am calling Page A.jsp to Page B.jsp.
in the .jpf file, in the method which is being used to render Page B.jsp contains
the below mentioned code. Do I have to do something extra or this much code is
enough?

I think you may have to set the 'Can Maximize' property on the portlet
to 'true'.

How to center page in Pages

Hey im used to the word templates and i dont like how the actual page in Pages is aligned to the left, how would i get it in the middle?

I think what you all are saying is a blank document opens to the left side of the screen and that you'd prefer it to open in the middle. Right?
If so, I've never thought much about it. Where windows open is part of the human interface guidelines. You can read some of that here.
Pages may not completely adhere to the letter of the link above but it seems there's a reason: it leaves space for inspectors. So, when a window opens, the window is slightly to the left because you open inspectors and they go in the space to the right. I don't remember the default - if inspectors open the first time you use Pages - but the logic is clear.
This is coded. I suppose ou could move the window, make an applescript - e.g., record one in Automator - and apply it each time you open Pages. Or you could drag the window anywhere you want, which is what almost everyone does without thinking.
The Mac desktop metaphor is slightly different from the Windows metaphor. With Windows, which I've used extensively, you tend to minimize, maximize and switch from application to application, document to document in either full screen or minimized. The Mac metaphor is more like a real desktop on which you can have a bunch of documents from a bunch of applications all available at the same time, overlapping, etc. (BTW, I suggest using Spaces to organize work.)

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) Application Memory, 2) Device Memory, and 3) Media/SD Card Memory
Application Memory -- This is the most crucial; it is the protected (not user accessible), dedicated, and fixed (in size) space that is available as the destination for the installation of applications (plus some application storage, overhead and such). You cannot touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can only install here...there is no option.
Device Memory -- This is space on your BB that you can touch to store files, pictures, media, etc. Typically, it is not terribly large, but it is available to you.
SD/Media Card Memory -- This is what it says...your SD card, for you to store files, media, pictures, etc. It can be as large as your BB OS can support...see this KB:

On some devices/OS levels, you can only see "File Free" (Options > Status), which I think is equivalent to AppMemory. On other devices, you can see all three memory usage levels (Options > Memory). Here are some guidelines to use:

Lastly, it is always important to properly close applications when you are done with them. Using the Back or the Red key will not do this -- those leave it to the app to decide what to do...and some will leave themselves resident in memory, consuming resources on your BB, slowing the overall performance. Rather, to close an app, press and select "Close" or "Exit"...that will force the application to be closed, freeing up for your new use the resources it was consuming. Some apps will always remain running (typically -- BBMessenger, Browser, Homescreen, Phone, and Messages)...but, you should still close them properly - especially the Browser...if it is left on an active web page, it will not only consume extra resources but battery power as well.
Further, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a regular basis as a preventive measure...some as frequently as once per day. Others have obtained the QuickPull app to automate a simulated Batt-Pull.

Hi,
Yes the field page n of m is used normally for printing page numbers. But it won't display the current page of total pages by itself. You have to set the run time property to n (current page ) and m (Total number of pages). Carefully select the # (current page ) and ## (Total number of pages). Hope this works for you.
My requirement is to have the user control on current page. For Example:
Example for a Invoice with 5 PO items (stands on 2 pages) :
1st page is the letter : no page number
2nd page is the 1st page of the 1st copy of the invoice : we should read u201C1 / 2u201D
3rd page is the 2nd page of the 1st copy of the invoice : we should read u201C2 / 2u201D
4th page is the 1st page of the 2nd copy of the invoice : we should read u201C1 / 2u201D
5th page is the 2nd page of the 2nd copy of the invoice : we should read u201C2 / 2u201D
Presently i cam getting the current page number for page 4th as 3 / 2 and for 5th page 4 / 2. I could able to control the total number of pages from print program. But when i am printing the second copy (4th and 5th pages), I couldn't able to control the current page number. I need to initialize the Current page count (4th page ) as 1.
I have used the follwing java scripting:
this.rawValue = wv_pages - xfa.layout.page(this)
where wv_pages is total no of pages calculated from print program.
Please help me in this regard with some formcal or java scripting conditions.

In Safari why dont I have icon in toolbar that shows how many open pages I have?

Apparently when using Safari on the iPad there should be a little icon in the toolbar that looks like a rectangle and has various numbers in it. Apparently this shows how many open pages you have. When you tap on that icon, you are shown a page with thumbnails of the pages you have open. Unfortunately my husband's iPad does not have that tooblar icon. I cant seem to find any answers on the internet, from friends, from the IT people at work, the local people who sell iPads. Thanks to anyone who can help.

That was the case in iOS 4, but its not the same in iOS 5. Apple moved to a tab-based interface for the iPad in iOS 5. The old thumbnail view is no longer included.

Your first question:
There might be a better way of achieving what you wish to do, but following these steps could help you out.
You might want to blend in Thumbnails and Invisibles either with (cmd+shift+i and cmd+alt+p) or over the View section in the Menubar.
1. go for Documents (right end of the Toolbar) -> Section
2. place your cursor at the very top of your second page and click "Create new Section->Starting with this page" in the side bar on your right.
(what you are actually doing next is setting the pagenumbers for each section you created. You can see your sections in the Thumbnail view.)
3. click on your first page (the first and only page of your first section) and mark the checkbox "Hide on first page of section"
4. click on your second page (the first page of your second section) and "Insert page number" -> start at 1
Your second question:
Im not quite sure i understand what exactly you want to do here. One page, two columns, each column with another page number? As far as i know this is not possible.

it can be conditional if used between IF..ENDIF
e.g. /:IF &KNA1-NAME1& = 'XYZname'

Hi!
It depends on the standard program. Maybe it can be set with one of its checkboxes on the selection screen.
If it cannot be set, then the standard list does not provide the page numbers.
Youhave to copy into a Z-program if it is really neccessary.

I know how to insert page numbers that appear 1, 2, 3 etc.
But I want to display: 1 out of 6, 2 out of 6, 3 out of 6 or similar - i.e. to have the TOTAL number of pages shown. I can do this in Excel - is it possible in Word? Or Pages??
