How to Merge Dmg Files

Hi
I have 4files test1.dmg test2.dmg test3.dmg test4.dmg how would i get them back into 1 file to burn..
Thank You

Hmmm, I tried this but all it did was compress the dmg files into an archive. I guess you meant that literally.
My situation is I have 1 file (I'm assuming it's one file), but broken up into 12 dmg files.
I thought it was kind of like .rar files, you can have a bunch of .rar files and merge them back together (say with UnRarX) to get the 1 complete file.
Sample of files are:
File Back.dmg.001
File Back.dmg.002
File Back.dmg.003
File Back.dmg.004
File Back.dmg.005
and so fourth, up to File Back.dmg.012

  • How to merge pdf files into one pdf file?

    In E-Rec we need the capability to mass printing for correspondance. There i want to merge pdf files for candidates into one pdf file. I am doing the following:
    Data: lv_document1           TYPE rcf_s_cs_document_content.
    LOOP AT activity_object_tab INTO ls_activity_object.
        lo_act_corr ?= ls_activity_object-activity.
         CALL METHOD lo_act_corr->process_document
           EXPORTING
             channel  = 'FRONTEND'
           IMPORTING
             document = lv_document1.
      ENDLOOP.
    Now lv_document1 contains the pdf file in  lv_document1-DOCUMENT_X which is of type RAWSTRING.
    This works for one candidate, in this case the pdf for last candidate will be displayed.
    But how would i append in the loop or what would i need to do display all candidates in one pdf.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • How to merge pdf files in Preview in Lion

    I've consulted Preview Help to find out how to merge many pdf files into one. The Help window tells me to open each file, and transfer the thumbnail from each opened document into the sidebar of the other. Who wrote this Help item? Once you drag one thumbnail into the other sidebar, the other window closes, and there's no way to drag the closed file into the other file's sidebar. And I've tried! And tried! A helpful way out is to combine the two files, click Print, then save as PDF. But there must be a more direct way to accomplish this merger. Before Leopard, the procedure was easy. Then in Leopard, Apple made it a little more challenging. Finally in Lion, Apple seems to have surpassed itself, making it almost impossible. Does anyone know how to accomplish this Herculean task in an easy way?

    > The Help window tells me to open each file, and transfer the thumbnail from each opened document into the sidebar of the other.
    It works the same way it did in SL. That's exactly what I did. Are you sure you are dragging the thumnail? I just dragged a pdf to a file of many pdfs combined and it went right in and joined the family. View menu > Thumbnails?

  • How to merge text files and put the result in a text file.

    Hi,
    I am trying to merge the files(text) using OWB and I would like to put the result in a file. Could any one please explain how to do this.
    Thanks and regards
    Gowtham Sen.

    using the unix commnad 'cat' along with the redirect '>>' will concat the files into one target
    #this will create the target file and over-write it if it existed already
    cat file1 > target
    ##Now add the rest of the files to the target, without over-writing
    cat file2 >>target
    cat file3 >>target
    cat file16 >> target
    You can then use an external table on the target file.
    A nicer way would be to user a 'for loop', but this will work fine.

  • How to merge m4a files

    I have dozens of lectures from The Great Courses and have been ripping them in iTunes to use on my new iPod Classic 160gb.  I finally took a break to listen and realized that it would be better to have merged all of the separate files for individual lectures.  I had iTunes set to create m4a files.  I do not want to go back and rip all of the CD's again and choose to merge the files in iTunes.  I read on another post from a few years ago that QuickTime Pro could merge m4a files. But, I looked at the current version's description and there is no mention of merging or joining m4a files.
    I don't mind purchasing software to do this but I don't want to purchase it if the software will not merge the files.
    So...can QuickTime Pro merge m4a files?

    just line them up and set the quality yourself
    1) Video applications do not always work with audio alone as the OP is using.
    2) The OP has already found a solution.  It was a Mac-specific tool whereas the one mention states:
    System Requirements of Allok Video Joiner
      *  Windows 98/2000/ME/XP/2003 operating system.
    3) "Set the quality" suggest it is recoding the file which is not necessary and results in quality loss.

  • How to download dmg file

    EVERY TIME I GO TO DOWNLOAD AN APPLICATION  SUCH AS CHROME IT WILL ONLY SHOW IN TEXIT EDITOR AND NOT AS A DMG FILE?
    WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THIS?

    First unlock your caps lock key. Typing in all caps is considered shouting in an online forum. Also hard to read. Click on the file and do a get info (command-i). In the Open with drop down menu you need to get DiskImageMounter as the default program to open the file. See if that shows uo in the drop down. Then select the Change all box.

  • How to merge amr files? puzzling

    Hi,
    I would like to program an application to merge 2 amr files together.
    According to my knowledge, the header of the AMR file has to be
    0x23, 0x21, 0x41, 0x4D, 0x52 and 0x0A. the rest are sets of 1-byte header frame; followed by audio
    data.
    So I stripped the 2nd amr file of its header and append to the first amr file.
    However, nokia media player can only recognise the first amr when i play the merged file.
    what am i doing wrong??

    The encrypted video file always includes the DRM metadata, so you do not need to do anything special to merge the files. Optionally, you also include this information in a separate .metadata or .header file. If you are using the 3.0 Media Packager command line tool, it will always output the .metadata file, and it will output the .header file only if you use the -h option. If you are using the SDK APIs directly, you can control whether these files are generated. We recommend having the metadata as a separate file, because that enables better user workflows, as the metadata is needed to use the DRMManager ActionScript APIs.

  • How to merge .m4v files with chapters included?

    I am unable to merge two .m4v files in quicktime pro and keep their chapter structure. Is this even possible? I take a lot of time to build chapters into movies I make and I would like to be able to combine some AND keep the chapter structure.
    Here is what I have:
    Movie A: 12 chapters
    Movie B: 10 chapters
    open movie A in quicktime pro
    open movie B in quicktime pro
    copy movie B (command+A, command+C)
    select movie A
    push needs to end of movie A
    paste clipboard (command+V)
    Result:
    Movie A now has it's original 12 chapters and then the added movie B is just one long section added on to the end of Movie A's last chapter.
    Any help would be appreciated. This seems to be an ongoing question on many forums.

    1) is there any way to use your method that give me a final .m4v?
    Well, your questions are certainly getting harder. How a bout no, yes, and maybe.
    a) No, I do not know of a direct approach for simply changing the file container. As you may have noted, QT now checks the Video Track "Sample Description" and if the extension does not match the description, QT sends you a "nastygram" modal message and refuses to open the file.
    b) Yes, it can be done indirectly. In this case I used the SimpleMovieX ($35) from Aero Quartet of Catalonia, Spain. While I tend to use QT Pro and MPEG Streamclip for most day-to-day work, this application does have some unique features to which I resort when needed. One is the "Keyframe" combined indicator/skip option, one is its audio manipulations, and another is the way it handles H.264/AAC MOV file container conversion. (I also do a lot of "track management" work that leaves me in an MOV file when I actually want MP4 or M4V file container features like being able to associate external "artwork" images in iTunes.) In any event, this application does actually go through and correct the descriptors before it copies the appropriate data to the new container making QT ever so happy with the new MP4 container. At this point, if I modify the MP4 Extension to M4V in the Finder, QT then does not issue the modal message and does use iTunes as the default application to open the file.
    c) Maybe the file is considered to be a real M4V file and maybe it is not. I have not, for instance tried to add a "Passthrough" AC3 secondary audio track and check to see if the resulting file will play correctly via TV. So there may yet be some internal distinctions of which I am yet unaware. Other than that, the file does indeed seem to function as any other iTunes file created by direct M4V data compressed export.
    Anyway, this is from the "for whatever it is worth" department and you can invest $35 in the application or try to find another application capable of doing the same thing. MPEG Streamclip, for instance, will not work here but I have not actually looked around for anything else.
    2) if I use the final .MOV that you get at the end of your tutorial, will exporting as "apple tv" or mpeg 4 etc. compress it again?
    Yes, it will. In addition, depending on the application used to perform the export, you may lose the chapter track also.

  • How to merge RAW files into iPhoto Library?

    Hi,
    I have several (Aperture-) modified photos in iPhoto. When I click on any one of those photos in iPhoto (9.5.1) and then click on File -> Reveal in Finder -> Modified File – it reveals the location of a jpg-file inside my iPhoto Library. So far, so good.
    However, when I choose File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original File it takes me to an external folder (located in my Home Picture library) and reveals the original RAW-file. I don't know why they are in a folder outside the iPhoto library but I suppose it has something to do with me editing them outside of iPhoto. And this is not a library but just a regular folder containing RAW-files.
    How can I merge all my RAW-files so that they are, neat and tidy, all inside my iPhoto library?

    However, when I choose File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original File it takes me to an external folder (located in my Home Picture library) and reveals the original RAW-file.
    You can use Aperture to move the raw originals back into the iPhoto/Aperture library, if your iPhoto and Aperture versions are still compatible.
    Open your library in Aperture and select all photos with raw originals in the Browser and use the command "File > Consolidate Originals".
    You will be prompted, if you want to move the files or to copy them. Select "Move files".
    The reason they originals are outside the library is probably caused by the way you imported them. Check your import settings in Aperture.
    In the Import panel the option "Store files" should be set to "In the Aperture Library".
    And in iPhoto the "Advanced" preference for importing should be "Copy items to the iPhoto Library"

  • How to merge 4 files with VBA

    I have 4 files that I want to automatically merge using Visual Basic for Applications Code. I've searched through this forum and it seems that first you open the first pdf with PDDoc and then you use PDDoc.InsertPages to add the 2nd PDF and so on. Note these 4 files are each one page long. I am using Adobe Acrobat Professional and no this is not a server based application that I am developing. I am not interested in Adobe Live Cycle Designer. I am having difficulty inserting the page. I do not know how to define/specify the iPDDocSource As Object. The code I have written so far is below. Note eventually I want this to be invisible (ie PDDoc), but being able to perform using AVDoc could also be useful. Thanks.
    Dim Path As String, Path1 As String, Path2 As String
    Dim Path3 As String, Path4 As String
    Dim gApp As Acrobat.AcroApp
    Dim gPDDoc As Acrobat.AcroPDDoc
    Dim iPDDocSource As Acrobat.AcroPDDoc
    Dim jso As Object
    Dim gAVDoc As Acrobat.AcroAVDoc
    Path = "C:\junk" & "\"
    Path1 = Path & "1.pdf"
    Path2 = Path & "2.pdf"
    Path3 = Path & "3.pdf"
    Path4 = Path & "4.pdf"
    Dim WshShell As IWshRuntimeLibrary.WshShell
    Set WshShell = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
    WshShell.CurrentDirectory = "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\"
    WshShell.Run "Acrobat.exe"
    Set gApp = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")
    Set gPDDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
    Set gAVDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc")
    'Set iPDDocSource = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
    ok = gAVDoc.Open(Path1, "1") 'This works
    ok3 = gPDDoc.InsertPages(0, iPDDocSource, 0, 1, 0)
    '<-- Problem here with iPPDocSource
    Set gAVDoc = Nothing
    End Sub

    I am an absolute hack when it comes to programming in Visual Basic. In the past as a Structural Engineer I have programmed a lot in Fortran, but I have also written programs in a lot of other languages as well. However, programming is not my primary job, but I am better at it than your first impression implies, but not by much. I accidentally omitted the Sub MergePDF() text at the top of the code. This routine is part of a larger program run from MS Excel VBA that is already complete. Yes I do tend to kludge stuff together until it works, thats what examples are for. Therefore I made multiple dims and other declarations that aren't necessary because I do not have a familiarity with the Adobe SDK. However, the Acrobat SDK is not as intuitively obvious to the casual observer as you would have me believe. It seems to be written more for the C and Java programmers. All of that aside you did help me solve my problem so thank you. Thanks Reinhard for the code that may give me other ideas to explore. The following code was all I required for my current application.
    Sub MergePDF()
    Dim Path1 As String, Path2 As String, Path3 As String, Path4 As String
    Dim gPDDoc1 As AcroPDDoc
    Dim gPDDoc2 As AcroPDDoc
    Dim gPDDoc3 As AcroPDDoc
    Dim gPDDoc4 As AcroPDDoc
    Set gPDDoc1 = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
    Set gPDDoc2 = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
    Set gPDDoc3 = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
    Set gPDDoc4 = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
    chk1 = gPDDoc1.Open("C:\junk\1.pdf")
    chk2 = gPDDoc2.Open("C:\junk\2.pdf")
    chk3 = gPDDoc3.Open("C:\junk\3.pdf")
    chk4 = gPDDoc4.Open("C:\junk\4.pdf")
    mergefile = gPDDoc1.InsertPages(0, gPDDoc2, 0, 1, 0)
    mergefile = gPDDoc1.InsertPages(1, gPDDoc3, 0, 1, 0)
    mergefile = gPDDoc1.InsertPages(2, gPDDoc4, 0, 1, 0)
    savemergefile = gPDDoc1.Save(1, "C:\junk\merged.pdf")
    End Sub

  • How to merge multiple files into one pdf

    I would like help with this task. If I could do this for free I woul actually be more likely to follow advice. Many thanks

    Hi Lauravill,
    The free Adobe Reader cannot help you with the merging job. If you have Acrobat Reader then you can merge files into one pdf with the following steps-
    Within Acrobat XI, select File > Create > Combine Files into a Single PDF.
    Click Add Files and select the files you want to add.
    Click, drag, and drop to reorder the files and pages. Double-click on a file to expand and rearrange individual pages. Press the Delete key to remove unwanted content.
    When finished arranging the files, click Combine Files.
    Select File > Save As > PDF.
    Name your PDF file and click Save.
    Let us know if you face any problemwith this or need extra support.
