How to Migrate EIT security to different Instance

Hi
I have a requirement to migrate the “EIT Security type” information to another instance.
Functional Analyst creates an EIT and attaches it to the Responsibility using the following menu.
CA Super HRMS Manager Responsibility
Security
Go to Information Type windows and add the EIT.
I have a requirement to migrate into another instance.
Does Oracle have any API, so I can use it? If not than what approach I should use?
Thanks

  • How to migrate the security repository

    Hi ,
    i am using BO 5.X
    i am planning to migrate just the security repository from the current database to another database ( a horizontal migration not an upgrade)
    1- how can i do that ?
    2 - do i need to repost all the existing reports again ?
    3 - do i need to copy the existing universes created to that new database ?
    please advise

    Hi,
    Below are the proper steps on how to migrate your repository.
    Migrating Your Repository from One Server to Another:
    This is a relatively simple process with only a few updates. It assumes that you are only copying your repository database to a new location, and all your business data will remain in the same place(s). In short, you move the database, and then make a few connection updates to reflect that change in location.
    1. Use your favorite database utility to make a copy of the entire repository schema in your target database. If the database user "Bob" owns the repository, export the entire "Bob" schema to a file, transfer the file to the target machine, and import the "Bob" schema into the target database.
    2. Run a Safe Recovery process to generate a new *.key file to point to this new location. Before you can login to the new repository, you must have a *.key, file that knows where it is.
    3. Log into the new repository using the new *.key file as a General Supervisor user type.
    4. Go to Tools--->Repository and update each document and universe domain connection ("Modify..." button) to reflect this change in the connection string to the new repository database. Keep in mind that you may have multiple document and/or universe domains that existed outside of the original "Bob" schema. Only one of each kind of domain can exist in a given schema, as they are made of database tables, and you cannot have two of the same name in the same place.
    5. Distribute your new *.key file. Place it in the ShData directory if using it, or send it to your users to place in their LocData folders. For your Webi server, search for the bomain.key and rename it to *.old before replacing with the newly created bomain.key.
    6. Test your newly migrated repository by running or publishing reports completely before bringing the old repository down.
    Now you have a new repository, and all the necessary pointers have been updated to the new location.

  • OIM11gR2 - How to migrate an Application Instance Form

    Hello,
    I'm trying to migrate an Application Instance Form from my Dev env to my QA env.
    My target system is SAP
    I performed the following steps in Dev:
    1. Installed and configured the SAP Connector (no problem here)
    2. Created a sandbox
    3. Created an Application Instance
    4. Created the Application Instance Form
    5. Ran a target reconciliation to confirm everything is working properly
    6. Exported the sandbox
    7. Published the sandbox
    8. Via Deployment Manager I exported all objects related to SAP (Resource object, Process Forms, Lookups etc.)
    In QA I did:
    9. Installed and configured the SAP Connector (no problem here)
    10. Via Deployment Manager I imported the objects related to SAP
    11. Imported the sandbox
    Problem:
    To my surprise, the Application Instance does not have a Form in the QA env.
    I had to create it manually by performing the following:
    12. Create a sandbox
    13. Open the Application Instance definition
    14. Click on create (to create a form)
    15. Entered the same name I used in my Dev environment
    16. Received an error message saying that the form already exists
    17. Entered a different name for the Form
    18. Saved
    19. Exported the sandbox (to import in Prd)
    20. Published the sandbox
    21. Ran a target reconciliation to confirm everything is working properly
    I tried to reproduce the problem with another (test) destination environment because I don't want to have the same problem when migrating to Prd.
    I repeated the steps 9,10,11 except that I imported the sandbox exported from QA (step 19) instead.
    The same problem: Application Instance definition has no Form attached to it in my test destination environment.
    If I try to create the form with the same name, it gives an error message saying it is already there.
    Is my procedure wrong?
    Is there an official procedure explaining how to migrate only Application Instance Form from one env to another?
    My env:
    OS: Windows 2008 R2 SP1
    OIM: 11gR2 BP7
    SAP connector: 9.1.2.2.0

    This is a bug: Bug:16027176
    Check the [Article ID 1515225.1] which proposes a workaround that might be useful in your case (it was not in mine).
    In short the workaround is:
    The following order should be observed to export :
    - IT Resource & Application instance in one xml
    - Request DataSet in another xml
    - SysAdmin Sandbox (the one defined while creating the Application Instance and the Form)
    - Identity URL Sandbox (defined while customizing the fields on the Form, in the Catalogue page)

  • How to Migrate Row Level Security Configuration

    Hi Guys,
    Does anybody know how to migrate row level security configuration? I suppose PeopleSoft provided a data mover script, like securityexport.dms.
    Thank you in advance,
    Bob

    Here are two options to achieve what you want.
    A. You can do this by coding, that's if you are ready to. Are you? If yes then try the steps below:
    1. create a security codes table. Say for example
    001 - company a
    002 - company b
    2. create a security table that will list all users and which company they should have access to. You can also implement this by roles.
    3. alter all tables in the application schema to add a security code column. This will be a foreign key reference to table created in 1 above.
    4. update all data in the tables according to which company they belong to.
    5. write a procedure or package that does a validity check whenever a user requests for data. This procedure/package determines which company data the user has access/rights to.
    With this, you should be able to achieve what you want if you do not want to spend on VPD and FGAC. The problem comes where there are users who would have cross access to data from both companies. In this regard, then you have to modify your security table a little bit to handle this.
    B. This option i will admit is not so clean. You can also achieve this by two different views for every table in the application schema. And on each of these views, create a private synonym for every user. For illustration purposes:
    Table name = Employee.
    Create a view employee_a on employee
    create a view employee_b on employee
    Let's say you have users x and y. X has access to employees of company a and y has access to employees of company b. You can now create private synonyms for each of these users as follows:
    create synonym employee on employee_a in x schema.
    create synonym employee on employee_b on y schema.
    This i have not tried but believe should work.
    Hope one of these options serve your purpose.

  • We're running Windows server 2003 32bit and want to migrate to Windows server 2012R2 64bit, can someone provide a step by step procedure on how to migrate instances on ADAM to AD LDS?

    I have no experience in dealing with servers, but my senior has asked me to investigate on how to migrate instances on ADAM (windows server 2003 32bit) to AD LDS (Windows server 2012R2 64 bit) as in place upgrade is not an option as we're running a 32bit
    Server and want to migrate to a 64bit Server. can someone please give me a Walkthrough on how to do this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    it'd be of great help if you could give me a step by step process of replication.
    There is no step-by-step article/guide of replication process, replication between AD LDS instances of the same configuration set is an automatic process.
    All we need to make sure is to create a replica of the existing instance, and there is no network/security obstacle preventing the replication.
    Please note that we need to install AD LDS from Server manager on Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2.

  • How to find port number , when there will be different instance number ?

    In case of portal url,
    port number is 50000 for default instance number 00.
    how to find port number , when there will be different instance number , instead of 00?
    Thanks

    Hi
    You can find the port number by your instance number as follows:
    There is a general format for the port number like you have mentioned.
    For 00 instance the port number is 50000.
    The general format for the port number goes like this:
        <b>5<instance_no>00</b>
    If your <b>instance number is 01</b> then the port number would be <b>50100</b>.
    It depends on the installation type which you perform.
    You can also change the instance number during the installation but normally you dont do this.
    If you have many components or units installed on your system you may have more than one instance in that case it may go like this 00, 01, 02....accordingly port number will be 50000, 50100, 50200...resp.
    Hope this solves your doubt.
    If you need some more clarification please lemme know.

  • How to migrate security associated to BR and FR

    Hi,
    We are planning a migration from 9.2 to 11. I am looking for a way to migrate bussiness rules and reports WITH their current security. Actually, I assign manually security to BR and reports after each environment migration.
    I am not aware on how export and import security associated with those components as it is possible for HSS security through the CSSImportExport Utility. Is there any solution beyond the scene through Oracle schema or an utility.
    I found those steps but it doesn't seem to work between 9.2 to 11 for BR: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/hbr_admin_help/frameset.htm?launch.html
    I didn't find any information for Financial Reporting.
    Any clue?

    Hi John,
    LDAP users are provision in native groups. Native groups provision BR and FR. It would be a native group migration as the name will be exactly the same. However, native groups have a unique identifier per environment.
    I don't see any reference to security in the FR:

    First you have to create create dblink in A1 database as below
    CREATE DATABASE LINK INSA1
       CONNECT TO USER_NAME IDENTIFIED BY <pass>
       USING 'B!' Then you can execute exec pack_b@INSA1;

  • How can all of the same subscriber in different instance get the meesages?

    Hi
    I am using MDB to recieve messages from publisher, used for event and notification, I deploy same MDB into different instance, if there is a event, the publisher will publish a message, and all subscribers in different instance are supposed to get the message, but reffer to the message flow, only one of these MDB will recieve the messages.
    One solution is to have different clientID for these MDB in different instances. But unfortunately, the value for clientId should be constant expression.
    Here is my code, any suggestion?
    @MessageDriven(mappedName = "cluster_publisher_adm", activationConfig = {
         @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "acknowledgeMode", propertyValue = "Auto-acknowledge"),
         @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "subscriptionDurability", propertyValue = "Durable"),
         @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "clientId", propertyValue = "test"),
            @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "subscriptionName", propertyValue = "myTest"),
         @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Topic") })
    public class TopicListener implements MessageListener {
        public TopicListener() {
        }How can I have all the MDB in different instances to get the same messages?

    I presume you are using Glassfish and Glassfish Message Queue, and that your Glassfish instances are clustered. If so, then if an MDB (listening on a topic) is deployed into the cluster, each message will indeed be delivered to one MDB per cluster rather then to one MDB per instance. This is a feature known as "shared subscriptions".
    If you are using Glassfish 2.1.1 or 3 (but not earlier versions) you can disable this using an activation spec property. Take a look at the latest documentation at
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/821-0027/aeooq?l=en&a=view&q=activationspec
    and scroll down to the new property "useSharedSubscriptionInClusteredContainer". You need to set this to false.
