How to migrate instances with exact ownership to destination BO system

Hi BO expert,
We met some technical issue when import instances to destination BO prod system, the situation is as below:
In source BO system, there is one report, and 2 users A and B scheduled instances based on this report.
In destination BO system, we have the same user A and B which are the same as source BO system.
So we only want to import the instances to destination system, but not import user becaused these users already exists in destination system,.
We tried to import instances to destination BO system, but found that all the imported instances ownership are changed to Adimistrator not the original user.
How can we import instance to detstination BO system and let them map to the corresponding user? Say instance 1 belongs to user A, instance 2 belongs to user B.

Thanks for your reply.
We tested that if CUID of the user in both source and destination system are the same, after we imported BIAR with report, instance and user, the owner of instance is original user as source system not administrator.
But if only the user name is same, CUID is different in both system, we can't import user to destination system successfully, so the owner of instance changed to administrator.
The current situation is we can't delete existing user(different CUID) from destination system, otherwise we can first delete the user from destination system, and re-import with report, instance and user.
Is there any way to solve this issue? or can we change the owner of instance after import, or can we change CUID of user?

it'd be of great help if you could give me a step by step process of replication.
There is no step-by-step article/guide of replication process, replication between AD LDS instances of the same configuration set is an automatic process.
All we need to make sure is to create a replica of the existing instance, and there is no network/security obstacle preventing the replication.
Please note that we need to install AD LDS from Server manager on Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2.

How to change Instance Number of an existing 4.6C System ?

My customer has DEV and QAS systems running in separated boxes and having the same instance number of 00. Now I'm consolidating these two SIDs into a new box. So, I need to change the instance number of one of them.
I found note 127351 on how to do this but noticed that the note only applies up to release 4.0B. Not sure if it still is valid for 4.6C.
I'd appreciate your help on how to do this.

Hi Satid,
if you want to move 2 systems of 2 boxes to 1 box, you have to copy at least one system anyway and therefore need to change the hostname of that system.
If you are doing this, this is a homogenious systemcopy which could be run with R3setup as described in the SAP documentation. I'm using an bit easier approach with more or less just savlib/rstlib - if you are interested, I could mail this to you.
With a homogenious systemcopy or my approach you have to "re-decide" for the instance number - so this is just no problem at all.

Do we have a automated batch file import or any APIs which can accept XML data about the content files and upload to the content items to Webcenter Content.? - You can use "Desktop Integration Suite" that allows you to copy from your Windows Explorer to UCM like any other shared folder.
- You can use BatchLoader, that will follow a script that creates this massive import to UCM
- You can create a Java small client that via RIDC can insert all contents.

There are 3 server instances all instances with 3 cluster nodes.
There are EJB session beans deployed on them to retreive the log information for each server node.

The application is working for multiple server instances with a single cluster node but not working for multiple cusltered environment.
Anybody knows what should be changed to handle more cluster nodes?

Why you want to Migrate the retired asset to from Legacy to SAP.
Retired asset will be having the Zero Value then there is no use to Migrating them in SAP.
If you really want them just for a record only then you have to Migrate them with minimum value like 1 Rs. this will always shown in Report.

how to migrate webnalysis reports from 9.2 to Hyperion System 11. I know the migartion utility only works for Pre system 9 products. We have new env of sytem 11 and succesfully migrated planning and HFM from 9.2 to system 11. How to migarte webanalysis reports.

Have you been able to resolve this ?
There are various approaches possible, depending on the amount and the folder structure of your reports.
One is to use life cycle management (not sure how stable it is in 9.2), the other is the import/export tool within web Analysis

OIM11gR2 - How to migrate an Application Instance Form

Hello,
I'm trying to migrate an Application Instance Form from my Dev env to my QA env.
My target system is SAP
I performed the following steps in Dev:
1. Installed and configured the SAP Connector (no problem here)
2. Created a sandbox
3. Created an Application Instance
4. Created the Application Instance Form
5. Ran a target reconciliation to confirm everything is working properly
6. Exported the sandbox
7. Published the sandbox
8. Via Deployment Manager I exported all objects related to SAP (Resource object, Process Forms, Lookups etc.)
In QA I did:
9. Installed and configured the SAP Connector (no problem here)
10. Via Deployment Manager I imported the objects related to SAP
11. Imported the sandbox
Problem:
To my surprise, the Application Instance does not have a Form in the QA env.
I had to create it manually by performing the following:
12. Create a sandbox
13. Open the Application Instance definition
14. Click on create (to create a form)
15. Entered the same name I used in my Dev environment
16. Received an error message saying that the form already exists
17. Entered a different name for the Form
18. Saved
19. Exported the sandbox (to import in Prd)
20. Published the sandbox
21. Ran a target reconciliation to confirm everything is working properly
I tried to reproduce the problem with another (test) destination environment because I don't want to have the same problem when migrating to Prd.
I repeated the steps 9,10,11 except that I imported the sandbox exported from QA (step 19) instead.
The same problem: Application Instance definition has no Form attached to it in my test destination environment.
If I try to create the form with the same name, it gives an error message saying it is already there.
Is my procedure wrong?
Is there an official procedure explaining how to migrate only Application Instance Form from one env to another?
My env:
OS: Windows 2008 R2 SP1
OIM: 11gR2 BP7
SAP connector: 9.1.2.2.0

This is a bug: Bug:16027176
Check the [Article ID 1515225.1] which proposes a workaround that might be useful in your case (it was not in mine).
In short the workaround is:
The following order should be observed to export :
- IT Resource & Application instance in one xml
- Request DataSet in another xml
- SysAdmin Sandbox (the one defined while creating the Application Instance and the Form)
- Identity URL Sandbox (defined while customizing the fields on the Form, in the Catalogue page)

How to migrate installment plan with open items

Hi all,
I am trying to figure out how to migrate an installment plan, when my legacy system does not tie my open items directly to my installment plans. And the amounts in my open items table may not add up to the exact amount of the installment plan.
So for a simple example, I have $10 left on an installment plan that was created 6 months ago.
Since the creation of the plan obviously more charges and payments have been posted to this account, clearing previously open items and creating new ones.
Presently, I have only 2 open items remaining, one for $6 and one for $7.
So I have "enough" open items ($13 worth) to post the $10 installment plan, but not an exact match.
The way I read the migration documentation on this, I thought I could use a OPUPZ field (Subitem for a Partial Clearing in Document) to signify that I want to partially clear that $7 charge. Apparently I misinterpreted that.
So my question is, is there a way to migrate this installment plan with this set of open items?
Or is my only option to alter the payment plan to the open items, and say that there is $13 remaining on the plan?

The principal Idea is to migrate either
- the original amounts, the installment plan and last the latest payments (you migrate payment history)
- or to migrate the still open amount as one or more open items and subsequently an installment based on that amount.

How to download a smartform output as excel file WITH EXACT LAYOUT.

     I have searched the forum but could not found any satisfactory answer. I have a smartform with a table, some texts and a logo. I have to write a code which will save the smartform output as excel file in the system keeping the layout of the smartform output EXACT.
i.e., the excel file will contain the output with EXACTLY THE SAME layout as would have been for a pdf file (if the smartform output is converted to a pdf file) and the client can then edit the fields of the table in the excel file. Your Requirement is to download a smartform to microsoft Excel .
Well unfortunately we can only download data into excel which is in a tabular format i.e stored in internal tables we have function modules to do the same even u can do that using OLE2.
If u try to download a smartform to Excel only format supported will be ASCII, if u will continue with that the smartforms text's will get downloaded to excel but whole data would be downloaded in a single Cell.

As u said ,u want to download a smartform to Excel it could be done but only if u r using a internal table and exactly printing line by line values in the smartform, But if u are performing calculation in between, using multiple internal table Work areas, structures, etc i.e if whole smartform is developed with many distributed windows , unfortunately it wont be possible to download a smartform to excel in such cases, because the whole output comes from multiple internal tables, calculations, etc all the data is not printed in a tabular manner so in such a case it would be just impossible to download the smartform to excel.
But we definitely have a workaround which could be done to download the data into excel.
you can develop a ALV report with a header and footer u can define the header and footer of the alv according to the smartform and the middle portion would contain the tabular kind of data which u must be using as Smartform table to print the same.
So if u have a similar kind of smartform with some header data, tabular data, and some footer data, then u can use ALV to do the same thing , advantage with ALV would be that u can easily download the same into excel.
Other alternative is that u can Convert and download the smartform to PDF and copy the same to an Excel wooksheet.
These are all the possibilities with which u can do the same.

Maybe someone can tell me why flash doesn’t redraw
components’ x,y positions if they have the same instance name
and are on adjacent frames? (movieclips work fine, just not
components) If I have a button on frame 1 and a button on frame 2
both with the same instance name but different locations on the
stage, frame 2’s button doesn’t show up in the position
I placed it, it stays at the position of frame 1 but still has the
properties of frame 2’s button. The label changes and
everything. If I stick a button on a frame in between and give it a
different instance name there is no problem. I thought it might be

Something possibly related. I have a movieclip on a layer,
one instance with name “a” on frame 1 and one instance
with name “a” on frame 2 and it has event listeners
inside it that update something on the movieclip. Unless I put the
movieclips on separate layers the event listeners won’t reset
each frame. (example: a button with a tooltip onmouseover that you
want to change the text of from frame 1 to frame 2) You’d
think if they were on separate keyframes at least but no, they need
to be on separate layers too.
I want the movieclip to update each frame. Any ideas?

instances (whether components or not) with the same name may
or may not be the same instance. it depends upon how they were
created.
for example, if you create an instance on frame 1 of your
main timeline, give it an instance name and then create a keyframe
on frame 2, the two instances will be the same.
but if you create an instance on frame 1 of your main
timeline, give it an instance name and then create a blank keyframe
on frame2 and create another, what you think is a duplicate,
instance and give it the same name, it will be a different
instance.

I would merge them before the migration. Also, spend some time doing any batch changes of names and dates beforehand too.
iPhoto Library Manager has good merge and duplicate search facilities.
