How to monitor Bluetooth traffic/signal

I'm curious if there is an application that allows me to monitor the strength of the Bluetooth signal my computer is receiving and the amount of traffic and what devices are connected.

After fiddling around a bit with this issue I decided that it was time to embrace dladm/ipadm a bit more and exchange these old-style virtual NICs with new ones. So I dumped the old igbx:y VNICs and created new ones by issuing:
dladm create-vnic -l igb0 vnic0
followed by:
ipadm create-ip; ipadm create-addr…
Now, I can monitor these new vnics using if top just fine.

and process them..may save to file or some thing like that
but how to know the current incoming and outgoing traffic...on NIC
and also how much it is capable of...

SA540 - Monitor Web Traffic (How to)?

Just as the title reads, I'm looking for a way to monitor what traffic is going through my SA540. Looking for what websites are being accessed.

I looked into OPENDNS several months ago and seems like it was kinda expensive for commercial usage. It wasn't an option.
I was looking at the Status/Reports section of my 540 and it sounds like it gives the top 10 websites visited. Does this sound correct?
Of course Content Filtering must be turned on. I assume turning on Content Filtering does nothing until allowed or blocked URL data is present?

Hi Dbhagat,
The VME-MXI-2 card is a type of VME controller, which is used in conjunction with a PCI-MXI-2 card that will be in an external computer. This computer is then able to send and receive messages to other devices on the VME bus, as well as monitor the information on the bus.

Monitor display no signal input

my computer turn on but the monitor display no signal input. I plug my monitor to other computer and the screen shows my icons and everything but when I plug other monitor to my computer it say no signal input. How do I fix my computer to communicate with the monitor.

When desktop goes blank then there's no more signal from the pc.
So the monitor says 'NO SIGNAL INPUT'.
What's the problem?

This is the program, you should be looking for :

In brief, this is what the program does,
a) Have an additional field in the internal table
b) Mark it as the exception field in the layout
c) This additional field should have values, 1, 2 or 3

How to monitor VLAN trffic

I want to Monitor Vlan traffic
some of our equipment is not supported SNMP.
so all our customer gateway is defined in NoC L3 swith
as a differnt VLAN
when ever we try to take MRTG from L3 it shows vlan traffic is 100bits/sec but this customer is geetiing 2 MB/sec
how can we monitor any idea or help

As far as I'm aware (at least on the layer 3 switches I've dealt with) you can't get per-VLAN throughput statistics by monitoring SVIs/VLAN interfaces.
If you want per-VLAN stats (assuming you're trunking multiple VLANs over a single interface and want the stats for one VLAN) you may be able to poll the CISCO-CLASS-BASED-QOS-MIB if you're using policies on your physical interfaces.
I haven't found another way to obtain per-VLAN stats - I'd be happy to be corrected.
Of course it may be viable in your situation (depending on the connectivity) to simply monitor the physical ports to which customer routers are attached. (or maybe not, hence your VLAN question)

Traffic Signal Symbol..!!

I have O/P of web-template when see in Portal for field Error Status as Background color Green for value 0 and Red for other numeric values which i did at query level by using exceptions. Web-Template (using WAD) giving me the same output which is fine.
Requirement1:
But rather then showing field Error status as background Color Green for value 0 and Red for other values. I want to display it in Traffic signal. I mean i want for Error status value 0 as traffic signal symbol green like OOO and for other values something like this OOO. I mean for Green third circle is filled with Green Color and for Red third Circle should be filled with Red color. Please let me know how can i achieve this..
Requirement2:
If requirement1 can not be fulfilled, All i want that for values 0 it should continue show Green color but it should not Its value that is 0 and if it is other than 0 it should only show color RED but no value 1 , 2 etc..

Plz. follow the steps below:-
On your Analysis webitem property pane ->
Internal Display -> Modification -> choose Single Module
Alias -> specify any name here
Active -> On
Formats -> ALL
Type -> Generic Module
Generic Module -> Implementation Name -> com.sap.ip.bi.rig.ExceptionImage
Parameter List ->
Parameter 1 -> Name / Expression -> ALERT_GOOD, Value -> Image, Image -> select from MIME Repository (this is for the green traffic signal image corresponding to the green Error Status)
Parameter 2 -> Name / Expression -> ALERT_BAD, Value -> Image, Image -> select from MIME Repository (this is for the red traffic signal image corresponding to the red Error Status)
Note - I assume you have configured Good1 (green Error Status) & Bad1 (red Error Status) in your Query Designer Exception settings - if not plz. replace the Alert Level setting accordingly i.e. you can either use ALERT_GOOD, ALERT_CRITICAL, ALERT_BAD or any of the below ALERT_1 to ALERT_9 to indicate the Alert Levels.
ALERT_1 equates to Good 1
ALERT_2 equates to Good 2
ALERT_3 equates to Good 3
ALERT_4 equates to Critical 1
ALERT_5 equates to Critical 2
ALERT_6 equates to Critical 3
ALERT_7 equates to Bad 1
ALERT_8 equates to Bad 2
ALERT_9 equates to Bad 3
You need to configure one more property of the Analysis webitem inorder that the Image is displayed when the web template is run
Cell Content -> Exception Visualization -> choose SYMBOL here if you wish to show only the traffic signal image (i.e the cells are displayed without background color as configured in Query Designer, the module replaces the standard symbols with your own symbols)

How to set Bluetooth passcode

Just got an N80 and a BH-900 headset. While going through the N80 instructions about pairing there's a sentence which reads "Before pairing, create your own passcode (1-16 digits),......". I appreciate that the headset has a factory preset passcode but if I was to connect to another phone for example, how would I set this up - I can't find anywhere how to create this passcode.

When you pair with a device that does not have a preset/fixed passcode, then all you need to do is to make sure you specify the same code on both devices (pick any numbers you wish).
The code is used only once to generate encryption/decryption keys for the Bluetooth traffic between the paired devices (after that the passcodes are discarded and not saved/stored anywhere).

What is the software/script to monitor the traffic/bandwidth of the local users ?
I'm currently has Xserve as like a DHCP/gateway, and there are about 20 computers connects through Xserve. I'd like to monitor the local computers to see their bandwidth but not sure what script/software need to be installed on Xserve. All my local computers have ip 10.10.x.x.
I installed darkstat but it doesn't show me the specific ip address that taking how much bandwidth (like download/upload speed..).

Pavilion m9520f elite. on start up monitor shows no signal. tried 2 different monitors both of which work with other computers, also different cables. receive beep code of 2 short then 5 when powered on. these codes are not found hp website. could this be the video card defective? thanks rgh202

I understand that your display is black.
It sounds like the graphics card may have gone out.
Turn off the computer.
As you power it back on tap the F8 key to load advanced diagnostics.
Select safe mode.
Check to see if the computer will load windows.
You may need to take the computer some where local and have them check out the card.
Let me know how everything goes.

In the SL Reports configuration steps, we can configure this option : Select Business Processes For SL Report. I did a lot of tests but it does not work.
Have i to configure the Business Process Monitoring ?

Hello,
it depends a little on what you want to do. If you use the pure CCMS monitoring with the table ALTRAMONI you get average response time per instance and you only get new measurements once the status changes from green to yellow or red.
In order to get continuous measurements you should look into Business Process Monitoring and the different documentations under https://service.sap.com/bpm --> Media Libary --> Technical Information. E.g. the PDF Setup Guide for Application Monitoring describes this "newer" dialog performance monitor. Probably you have to click on the calendar sheet in the Media Libary to also see older documents as well. As the Business Process Monitoring integrates with BW (there is also a BI Setup Guide in the Media LIbrary) you can get trendlines there. This BW integration also integrates back with SL Reporting.
Some guidance for SL Reporting is probably given under https://service.sap.com/rkt-solman but I am not 100% sure.

I have done that in a project (not Portal, but pure Java Application, should be no difference), working fine.
The steps are as follows:
- create MBean Server (e.g. MBeanServerFactory.createMBeanServer("test");)
- create your MBeans
- make them accessible to clients (register the MBeans in the server)
- query them from clients
