  • How to monitor idoc in PI

    Hi Gurus,
    how to monitor idoc and how many IDOC s come to in XI /PI ?
    Regards
    sreeni

    Hi Sreeni,
    How to monitor the idocs:
    To monitor the idocs we have many transactions in R/3
    we02: Gives the list of idocs based on your selection criteria
    we05: Gives the list of idocs based on your selection criteria
    BD87: List of idocs which are ready to be sent out of R3
    SM58: If the idocs are sent out of R3 but still in the TRFC queue
    Coming to XI/PI:
    You can check the idoc in trnsaction IDX5 which is the idoc mionitoring tool.
    How to check the count of idocs in XI/PI:
    The direction of the IDOCs which are sent out of R3 is always 1. Hence if you can go to transaction we02 and give the appropriate selection parameters and select direction as 1 you would get all the IDOCs sent out of R3 to respective receivers.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to Debug Idoc Adapter from XI to R/3

    Hi,
    Can any one please help in debugging the Idoc adapter from XI to R/3.
    Here is the my problem - XI to R/3 idocs have been created correctly but the service relation ship is created incorrectly.
    i.e. When XI creates inbound idoc into R/3, it is also linking some other non relevant idoc which is created 2 years back as a outbound idoc reference to that original idoc.
    And this outbound idoc is coming to XI and the same can be seen in IDX5(Table - IDXRCVPOR) for that message.
    I tried to see various parameters on idoc_inbound_asynchronus FM and when I execute this FM in R/3, idocs are being created correctly and service relation ship is also correct.
    I tried to debug the RFC by using dialog user in the idoc adapter - IDX_OUTBOUND_XMB. For this we forced to fail the message at the adapter level and then manually restarted in SXI_MONI so that it will stop in debug mode in IDX_OUTBOUND_XMB.. But it didn't.
    Can any one help on this ?
    Thanks in Advance..
    Nagarjuna

    If my understanding is correct, your inbound function module processing the IDoc is triggering another IDoc to be sent back to PI? If so, then have you checked the distribution model? If you want to supress it you can try removing it as the outbound Idoc for the logical system in we20 (Partner Profiles)?

    Hi!
    > I am with the impression that I need to run

    No, the IDoc adapter is not configured in the adapter engine but in the transactions IDX1 and IDX2.

    and also when i create any scenario related to idoc those messages where not displayed in communication channel.

    Hi Allen,
          U r checking for an IDoc channels in Communication channel monitoring.IDoc adapter is reside in ABAP stack.So that u cant see the Idoc communication channels from monitoring of CC's. If Idoc messages is at sender side no need of CC.
    If you want to view the source and target messages of Idoc's u can see those from SXMB_MONI.Choose u r processed message,Dbl click,For Idoc as sender u can view the message from payloads of Inbound message,For Idos as Receiver u can view the message from Payloads of Request message Mapping.

  • How to get rid of messages in idx5 idoc adapter

    We are having a lot of messages in idx5 (327828 for a particular date). When I go to sxmb_moni "Monitor for processed xml Messages" I do not find these messages there.
    We are running the archiving/deletion reports and I expected theese to take care of the Idoc Adapter messages as well. Is this not the case? Are there separate archiving/deletion jobs for the idoc adapter? How do I get rid of the messages in the idx5 xml messages in the idoc adapter?
    When running the report RSXMB_SHOW_STATUS this is today (after archiving/deleting all messages older then one day) showing good 30.000 messages in the database - and do not show the huge number of messages in the idoc adapter.

    The baseball is probably the symbol assigned to you in Address Book - take a look and see. It appears on all your sent mail in Mail, but not on the messages as they appear to recipients, so don't worry about it too much. If you don't like it, you can remove or replace it through Address Book.

  • How to configure Sender IDOC adapter

    Hi could someone pls guide me on the steps that i need to take to configure IDOC sender adapter..
    Are the steps for Sender and Receiver IDOC adapter same other than the fact that sender idoc adapter doesn't need a sender communication channel.

  • How to use IDOC and RFC adapter in 1 scenario?

    We have AAA field and BBB field and we want to send AAA field to receiver sap system using IDOC adapter and BBB field to receiver sap system using RFC adapter. But how to use IDOC and RFC adapter in 1 scenario and how to map and  what are the design and configuration objects we require to create?

    To achieve this you have to use
    Two Interface Determinations
    Two Communication Channels (IDOC & RFC)
    & Two Receiver Aggrements.
    Use the Enhanced Interface determination and give your conditions there. Based on you condition your interface mapping will be triggered and data will be sent to IDOC & RFC respectively.

  • IDoc-Adapter Monitoring

    Hi,
    I know the transaction "IDX5". There are sender-information and receiver-information from the xml-message. In this monitoring the settings are correct but when I look in R/3 for example the sender-information of the message are different in comparison to the sender-information from the transaction "IDX5".
    Is there a IDoc-Adapter Monitoring that shows the sender- and receiver-information which arrived to the R/3-System??
    Thanks.
    Regards.
    Stefan

    Hi,
    For IDocs, to trace Idoc error the transaction you can use is IDX5, SM58 in the XI systema nd SM58, We02 in the R/3 system.
    If you see the outbound Idoc in the IDX5 and not in R/3 that means either the RFC destination is wrong or the Control record data is wrong.
    You can check for error in SM58. If no error then there is something wrong with control record data

  • How to implement IDOC Serialization(EOIO) using IDOC Adapter

    I am sending IDOC from 4.6c to XI to ECC6.0 using IDOC Adapter. I want to ensure that IDOCs are processed serially(EOIO) on the receiver side. I tried setting up the SE16-->IDXQUEUE  on XI for the Receiver system and enabled the Queue processing flag on the Receiver communication channel, but the IDOCs are not serialized.
    I see that XI is using XBTO_007(EO) Queue. It should be using the queue that I specified in SE16.Please let me know what else needs to be done to implement EOIO for the IDOC adapter.
    Please note Sender is 4.6c System while the receiver is ECC 6.0 on WAS>=6.2
    Thanks in advance.
    Rajeev Gupta

    Rajeev,
    From http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/bd/277264c3ddd44ea429af5e7d2c6e69/content.htm
    <b>The receiver or sender system must be based on SAP Web Application Server 6.40 or higher.</b>
    The blog listed above is when you need to sends Idoc from R3 to XI in EOIO. It does not work with SAP R3 4.6C  for the reason above.
    For sending Idoc's from XI to R3 ( to ECC in your case ) in EOIO, you need to seelct Queue Processing in the Receiver Idoc adapter and the rest I think is handled implicitly by XI.
    Regards
    Bhavesh
    PS: Have not tried this practically though!

  • SP14 Multi-mapping - error in receiver idoc adapter

    Hi,
    I have a scenario where a business service should send some XML to SAP CRM. I get the file via a sender JMS adapter and try to post it to CRM via a receiver IDOC adapter.
    I have created a multimapping (1:N - 1 XML file to many Idocs) as should in the repository.
    In the configuration under Interface Determination, I have chosen 'RB_SPLIT' and selected the interface multimapping.
    It should be pointed out, that when testing both interface and message mapping i get no error. All idocs seem to be created as they should.
    When testing the setup 'real life' the message fails. The error message in the monitor says:
    - <!--  Call Adapter
      -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">
      <SAP:Category>XIAdapter</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="IDOC_ADAPTER">ATTRIBUTE_WRONG_INTF</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1>InterfaceCollection</SAP:P1>
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <SAP:Stack>Unable to interpret IDoc interface InterfaceCollection</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    Notice that the above error is when trying to send only 1 record, which in turn then should result in only 1 idoc.
    If trying to send multiple XML records, i get the following error:
    - <!--  Technical Routing
      -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">
      <SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="OUTBINDING">MMF_ENGINETYPE</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1 />
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <SAP:Stack>A system error occurred in the outbound binding</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    In the monitor in the payload of 'Request message mapping' I see as many Maindocument, Submaindocument pairs as should be Idocs.
    Now i really don't know how to interpret the error messages in both cases, so I'm a little lost here...
    It should be pointed out that the idoc being used everywhere in this scenario, has not been modified - from all places it is being used (and only exists) in the 'Imported objects | Idocs' place.
    Also the Idoc is also being used as Inbound interface - so no mistakes here either.
    I really hope someone can help me here, as I'm otherwise pretty stuck in this case.
    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
    I have exactly the same type of scenario (under SPS14 and now also SPS15), sending an XML message over JMS to XI and trying a multi-mapping to many IDocs (actually a list of orders in XML is mapped to n ORDERS Idocs).
    I also face problems doing so, when I use the IDoc Adapter as outbound in the Receiver Agreement. I receive the following error:
    <i>CO_TXT_MMF_ENGINETYPE
    Messages in multi message format can be sent to one adapter engine only</i>
    However, I tested the same scenario by just changing the Receiver Agreement to a File Communication Channel and - surprise, surprise - it works. One file per IDoc is created.
    Of course, this is not what we want to accomplish, but when I checked this piece of documentation (sorry another link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/42/ed364cf8593eebe10000000a1553f7/content.htm
    the IDoc adapter is not listed in the list of Adapters that are supported. Does that mean, that this feature is not supported for generating IDocs? Maybe that's a question for a SAP OSS Message?
    I hope that helped you a little further - if you find out more I'd be happy to learn about it.
    regards,
    Peter
