How to move Acrobat 7 Professional from old Win XP machine to new Win 7 machine?

I've been using Acrobat 7 Professional for some years on my old Windows XP computer and recently bought a new Dell WIndows 7 64-bit computer. Although I no longer have my original installation disk, I did copy all the installation files to my old machine (and copied them to the new one). When I tried to install the program on my new computer I get the error message "Serial Number Invalid." The number I used was the 20-digit number that appears when I click "About Acrobat 7.0 Professional" on the old machine's program. Why won't it work? What am I doing wrong? BTW, Acrobat 7 has worked fine for me up until now.

do not copy/migrate/etc adobe programs.

I would just delete the apps (also Soundtrack Pro/Mainstage/Compressor in case you installed them) and the Folder HD/Library/Application Support/Logic as well as any third party AU/VST components from your old Macbook (HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components). Also delete all L8 receipts from the Folder HD/Library/Receipts.
Then just install L8 on your new Macbook, enter your dongle when asked for during the Installation and all will be fine.

I am getting my first-ever Mac. I want to move my approximately 2,600 songs from my HP Windows 7 laptop to the new MacBook. These songs consist of content ripped from CDs, Amazon MP3 purchases, and iTunes purchases. Will authorizing the new Mac in iTunes and turning on Homeshare be the best way to transfer ALL music or would it be better to do that with an iPod? How can I be sure that all content, including non-iTunes purchases, is transferred? Thanks.

Your best bet is to use an external drive to transfer everything over.

You do not move Adobe applications, you install them, so get the installation files and install them like you originally did.

You will also need your serial number to activate the new installation. If you did not keep a record of it you might be able to find it in your Adobe account online if you registered the program.
You are allowed to have two installations activated so if you wish to you can keep the software working on the old machine. If you wish to remove it or disable it, you need to deactivate it (Help -> Deactivate).

Normally you cannot. Only if you just redeemed an iTunes card and have not spent any of the money is it usually possible to get the iTunes Store to reverse the redemption so you can use the card in a different account. Otherwise it's not as normal policy possible to transfer credit from one account to another.
If I may ask, for what reason did you create a new Apple ID/iTunes Store account? If we know the reason, we may be able to offer suggestions.

You can connect your old phone to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy your iTunes purchases over to your computer's iTunes and you can then sync it to yourr new phone. Do you have the install media? If not, you can download Acrobat from here: Download Acrobat products | 9, 8 - Adobe. You'll need your Acrobat serial number (see Find your serial number quickly - Adobe).
Note, as well, that the licensing agreement allows you to activate the software on up to two computers. If you've already activated it on two computers, deactivate on one before installing on the new computer (see Activation & Deactivation Help).

I was testing the preciseness & efficiency of Adobe acrobat x professional's doc conversion capabilities. As i have to take a document editing project in future which is going to need lot of pdf to word and vice versa conversions . What I did was I created a test word document converted into a pdf using a pdf maker in my word 2007 , Acrobat did convert the document from word to pdf keeping everything in the source file intact , However when i tried the other way round and attempted to convert the same pdf to word 2007 file format I lost my formatting ?So the font that I used to create the pdf are the ones taken from word 2007 which i believe is using the fonts that are installed in my computer. Any suggestions on how to preserve the formatting of the document after converting it from pdf to word file format?

Could you please specify how exactly did you transfer Acrobat from one MAC to other.
You might need to deactivate the software from your old machine and then activate it on the new one with the same serial number (for Acrobat license) or Adobe credentials (for Acrobat subscription).
If you have done the same way, then let me know if you are able to open Acrobat itself.
Do you get any specific error message while opening a PDF?

How to move iTunes Music Library from an external HD to another?

Yesterday I tried to move all my music from an external HD to a new bigger one.
Well, I encountered various problems, the most important one is that the “iTunes Music Library” file messed up.
I transferred all files and both “iTunes Music Library.xml” and the “iTunes Library” file in the new HD. I have to say that I didn't know so much about those two files and I thought that it was enough to move them in the new location; I discovered that those files included the information about where the music is located (among other infos), so it still redirects to the older HD.
However, now I’m trying to recreate the previous situation on the older HD, and I’m trying to “rebuild” the iTunes Library (I have a back-up of the xml file, even if it is not the running one).
This operation is very important for me because about two years ago I used (for a long time )an earlier version of iTunes that had a bug: even if wrote all the tag infos on an a mp3, the “artist name” and “album name” tags didn’t remained. But I still can see all the informations through the iTunes browser (thanks to the iTunes Music Library DB). So, I cannot recreate it from zero. I absolutely need to export the existing “iTunes Music Library” to the new HD, or at least to use the existing “iTunes Music Library”, leaving it where it already is and moving only the “iTunes Music folder” (even if I don’t want to use two external HDs, the older one holding the existing “iTunes Music Library” e “iTunes Library” files and the newer one holding the “itunes Music” folder I moved!).
As far as you know how can I move safely “iTunes Music Library” e “iTunes Library” files on the new HD applying them to the new “iTunes Music” folder??
I really need your help!

Sorry, I wasn't responding to you, just the original poster. I didn't look at the date on that posting and didn't realize that you'd added a post that wasn't quite the same problem. In future, you'll find you get better answers if you start your own thread. You're issue really is a bit more complicated.
If iTunes currently recognizes all the music on both internal and the external drives, it should work. You have to make sure that both drives (old and new) are mounted. Make sure you have both "Keep iTunes music organized" (you probably already do) and "Copy files to iTunes..." (you probably don't) checked.
If not all of the music is currently in your iTunes library, perform the procedure with the music that is a part of the library and add the other stuff afterwards.
