How to move all contacts TO the SIM card on an N97

I have searched and while some topics exist on taking from the sim card using Nokia Suite, none address my issue of moving contacts from phone memory to the SIM Card.
I have the latest N97 and Nokia Suite updates, but I can find no way to write to the SIM card.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help!

Firstly there is a limit to the number of contacts you CAN copy yo sim, but it is vey simple to copy them !
Open Contacts>Options>Mark/Unmark>Mark All>Options>Copy>Sim Memory

Under the answer you want to mark as correct you should see a box that says Correct with a green symbol to the left and a box with Helpful with an orange star to the left. Click on the one you want.
And thanks for thinking about that, it is appreciated.

  • My iphone its block it seds  that it needs a sim card how or where do i get the sim card because it was working yesterday and today was block?

my iphone its block it seds that it needs a sim card how or where do i get the sim card because it was working yesterday and today got block???

Does it have a SIM card in it? You get the SIM card from your cellular carrier. Did you update the phone or restore it since it worked last? Where are you and what carrier are you on? Where did you get the phone?
It sounds like the phone may be carrier locked and was previously hacked to work on a different carrier. If it was re-set, it would cause the phone to re-lock to the original carrier.

  • How to move all files to the top level folder?

I want to move all files within a particular folder -- and all files in all sub folders -- to the top level. i.e. I want to collapse the folder structure to just one folder. Assume that there are no files with the same name.
    *Method 1*
My first thought was to use Find:
    1. Limit Find to the particular folder.
    2. Find all files in the folder with Size > 0.
    3. Switch to List view. All files are listed.
    4. Select all files and drag to the top folder
    5. Delete all sub folders manually.
Problem: Pages files are not found, and maybe others aren't.
This is a simple method and I'd like to stick with it.
    *QUES 1*
What condition should I set within Find so that I can be guaranteed of finding all files?
    *Method 2*
It was suggested in another thread that I use Terminal to move all files to the top level, but I couldn't get it to work. And there was a problem with files that consist of bundles.
    *QUES 2*
What is the easiest way to consolidate all files within a folder to the top level -- assume no duplicate names -- and at the same time remove all sub folders?

Thanks for the suggestion of EasyFind.
To find all files in a certain folder I typed in *[a-z 0-9] as a Boolean search (this thread won't let me post the exact characters required by EasyFind). That should cover every file I've ever named. EasyFind came back with "11719found/12316done".
Any idea what the missing 500 files would be? I'm hoping they are files that I don't need to know about (invisible files, system files and so on).

  • How do I open to put the SIM card on the iPhone 5

I just got the iphone5 and how to I insert the sim because it is asking to insert one

The manual doesn't do a very good job of explaining. The poor girl that asked the original question was the one who got treated rude. The "duh" is implied. The response is easily read, "Duh! Read the manual!" All the manual says is "Insert the end of a small paper clip or SIM eject tool into the hole on the SIM card tray". It doesn't say "push straight in firmly until the tray containing the SIM card pops out". I (and I assume many others) was left to wonder how hard to push, if the clip should be used to pull it back out, if the clip should be moved one way or another and whether there was a door to open or if something was going to pop out. I think a simple, kind answer that explained "how" would have been much more helpful than simply stating the obvious, thus suggesting she wasn't smart enough to know what should be obvious. If you want to answer people in a way that makes them feel stupid, then you need to be able to take some constructive criticism.

  • How do I erase contacts on my SIM card?

I upgraded from an original iPhone to a 3GS. Afterwards it seems that I have duplicate contacts because my SIM has contacts stored on it. How do I erase the SIM card so I don't have this problem with duplication?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

As provided, there are no contacts on your SIM card.
The duplicate contacts issued has been asked and answered on these forums many times.
You can do a forum search and find out more.

  • How do i load airtime on the sim card on my ipad?

i cannot load the sim card installed on my ipad4.. please teach me how to..

My understanding is that iPhone and iPad do not store your data on a SIM card.  That only contains the carrier's data.
Perhaps I'm not understanding your question.  What "airtime" are you refering to?

  • Contact of the SIM card

    Hello!
I just got my BlackBerry Q10 2 months ago and now it's already damaged because it doesn't recognize my SIM Card anymore. So the contact has to be damaged because my provider tested the SIM Card.
My problem is that I bought my phone through the Website here and I don't have a workshop for BlackBerry nearby. Besides no one from this Website helps me with my warranty because the paper I got was in slovakian. I am German by the way. So now I am confused what to do and where to send my phone to that it can get fixed.
Hopefully here is someone who had the same problem.
    Thank a lot,
    LaTiKo

  • How do I copy my contacts to the SIM Card for use in another handset (not iPhone) please?

I have an iPhone 5 to replace my iPhone 3GS but I wish to get all of my phone numbers/contacts onto a spare handset which will stay in my rucksack for  emergencies.  I've read all the manuals but the only info I can find relates to backing up through iCloud which can only be used with Apple systems.  Any assistance appreciated, thank you.

You don't. iPhone stores no data on a sim card.
See if your carrier can do this for you. Some have machines, in store, that can do this.

  • How to move existing contacts to the iCloud group?

I have some contacts in my iphone that were added to my gmail group by default, not iCloud. I was wondering how to move the contacts to the iCloud group so I would be able to see them on iCloud.com on my pc.

iCloud only syncs contacts belonging to the iCloud account.  If you have contacts belonging to other accounts (such as Gmail, Yahoo, and exchange account, etc.), you'll have to copy these to iCloud and disable contact syncing with these other accounts.  If you want to do this, do the following:
Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (they will still be in iCloud).
Download the app My Contacts Backup.  Use this to backup the remaining contacts on your phone (from the other accounts/groups) as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself.  Confirm that you have received the email.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section), set this to iCloud.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap each of the other accounts you are syncing contacts with and turn off contacts syncing with these other accounts (otherwise you will have duplicates on your phone).
Open the My Contacts Backup email and tap the attachment to import the contacts from the other groups back to your phone, and to iCloud and your other devices.

  • Can i auto save contacts to the sim card?

rather than having to do them individually?

The SIM phonebook may easily reach its limit so it is more adviced to use the Blackberry Contacts instead but yes you can.

  • How to move all footage to the right

I need to insert some clips in the middle of my timeline, but can't stumble my way through it.

    Hi
Use Your arrow pointer and select it by making a square over it and move slightly to the right.
If You don't have all TimeLine visibly - then {Shift+z} and all will fit to be viewed.

  • How do move ALL contacts from other groups into iCloud contacts group

Is there a way to make Icloud contacts the default for the "groups" on my iphone ?
    OR
is there a way to merge ALL the other groups into icloud contacts so i just have the one Icloud group to deal with on the iphone ?
    Thanks !

This page: http://www.macworld.com/article/1054187/outlooktoaddress.html - has this to say:
'Under Outlook 2002 you could simply open your contacts and drag them to the desktop to turn them into vCards. No longer. Try this and the contacts are converted to messages.
While you can select a single Outlook contact, choose File -> Save As and, in the resulting dialog box, choose vCard Files from the Save as Type pop-up menu, this works only for individual contacts—you can’t export a group of contacts this way.
You have a few options for eventually getting the things out of Outlook. The first is to select all your contacts and choose Action -> Forward as vCard. Outlook will create a new email message that contains all your contacts as individual vCard attachments. Send this message to yourself, pick it up on the Mac, drag these files into Address Book or Entourage’s Address Book and you’re good to go.
Or Sperry Software can lend a hand with its $20 vCard Converter Add-in for Microsoft Outlook. This adds a service that enables Outlook to export all your contacts as a single vCard.'
    A Microsoft Help Page suggests:
'The simplest way to do this would be to export your Outlook contacts to a tab-delimited file and then import that into Address Book.
In Outlook select File menu --> Export... and select Contacts to a list (tab-delimited text).
Save the new file to your Desktop.
In Apple's Address Book select File menu --> Import... and select your file.
Use the next window to match the field names in Address Book with those in your export file'
If using either method you import into Address Book you can sync that to iCloud, which is probably easier than trying to import into the iCloud website. If you're prepared to splash out $20 the Sperry Software program would  simplify matters a lot.
