How to move creative suite onto new laptop?

I've got a new laptop, so I know that I need to deactivate my Creative Suite on my old one in order to reinstall it on my new one
When I'm reinstalling on my new one do I need the serial number/code I used first time round? Because I don't think I have it!
Thank you!
Sophie

  • Stolen laptop, putting adobe suite onto new laptop

My laptop was stolen a few weeks ago and it had my adobe suite. How to I go about getting all of that onto my new laptop? I also wasn't the one that initially installed the programs as they came on my computer when I got it from my college.

You may need to deal with your college most likely they have a Student Licence for some number of computers. So it may be their licence... When you sign in to Adobe.com does this link https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.html show you have some Adobe Suite version.  If it does click on it to retrieve your serial. Try to install the suite on your new machine see if there is an available activation for your use.

  • How to get old iTunes onto new laptop???

My original laptop which has my iPod 4 and iPhone 4 linked to it has now died a death and so new laptop has now been brought (after a drama with a iPad) and now I am struggling to get my iTunes (with everything on) onto my new Laptop. How do I get my iTunes back so that I can link my products to the new laptop?

    Hi fionafromharrow,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
If the content in your iTunes library was all purchased or downloaded from iTunes, you can download those items again for free as long as they are still available in the iTunes Store. Please use the attached article as a guide for downloading your past purchases.
    Download past purchases

  • I purchased creative suite about 3 years ago for my macbook pro and have just bought an iMac and was wondering if and how to install creative suite onto my computer?

I am aware that I could not use both devices at the same time and from what I've read on here, once you've bought creative suite you may install it onto two devices. I'm just wondering how I go about installing onto my iMac, also with consideration that it is a older version of Creative Suite.

  • Can i download adobe creative suites onto new computer

my old computer crashed and i cant get anything on it, so i was wondering if i can re install it onto my new one somehow or do i have to buy it again?

You can install it on your new computer, as long as you have your serial number.
If you have already installed it twice previously, you will need to contact Adobe Customer Support to reset your activation count.

  • How do I activate/download my Adobe Creative Suite onto a new macbook? My previous computer and download was for Windows on a Dell.

How do I activate/download my Adobe Creative Suite onto a new macbook? My previous computer and download was for Windows on a Dell.

The answer depends on which version of Creative Suite.
    Either
install Windows on your Mac using Bootcamp or Parallels then install Creative Suite in the Windows Virtual Machine on your Mac.
Or, if you want to install natively on your Mac:
If CS6 then you can apply to Adobe for a platform swap
Order product | Platform, language swap
If CS5 then you must pay to upgrade from CS5 Win to CS6 Mac
    Creative Suite 6
If CS4 or earlier then you're out of luck. You'll have to buy a new copy of CS6 for Mac or pay to join the Cloud.

My itunes is on an old computer.  So old that I can't update it and so Haven't used it in two years.  How can I move it to my new laptop and make sure this doesn't happen again?  Very frustrated that I've spend $$ but can't get my music.
I want so set up itunes on my laptop and make sure that I get all of my old music and any music shared from my sons' itunes accounts.  Do I have to set up itunes on my new laptop first and then use the same logins?  Really concerned about losing any music, etc.

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
    Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have failed to move contacts and calendar items across you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should  merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

Hello, I bought and subscribed to Creative suite in June, for Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Bridge, but my subscription is telling me I only have Photoshop, can you tell me how to rectify this error, so i can download creative suite onto my desktop

Thanks for your reply. I was able to find help through a tech support chat session and the person helped me edit my /etc/hosts file and it solved the problem.
For anyone else experiencing this issue (Mac OS X):
Close all other programs and sign out from the Adobe Desktop App
From the Finder, Go > Go to Folder...
    Type /etc and hit enter
Find "hosts" file (only "hosts", there were similar files such as hosts.config but only open the one that says "hosts"
Open the file, and replace the entire content with ### Host Database## localhost is used to configure the loopback interface#
Close the file, sign back into the Adobe Desktop App
    Problem solved!

  • Okay so I have a new ipod touch...but I need to get music out of my old nano to my itues w/out wiping out my old nano...how do i do this? new laptop so itues is new...please help

okay so I have a new ipod touch...but I need to get music out of my old nano to my itues w/out wiping out my old nano...how do i do this? new laptop so itues is new...please help

You need to authorize your new computer in iTunes with the same account that is synced to your nano (and old iTunes)
In the menu bar click Store >> Authorize This Computer…
This will allow your purchased music to be re-downloaded from iTunes and played on your new computer.
If you did not purchase the music through iTunes, you may need a third-party program to get the music off the nano. However, It is much easier (by far) to move your old library from your old computer to the new one if you still have access to the old files. iTunes will not transfer music from your nano to the computer. It is a one-way sync.
If you still have access to your old files, search google for how to transfer an itunes library, and follow someones instructions. It's not too complicated. You may want to specify mac to pc, pc to mac, mac to mac, or pc to pc, as the instructions will change.

  • Need to download Adobe Acrobat X Pro (v10.1.8) onto new laptop

Need to download Adobe Acrobat X Pro (v10.1.8) onto new laptop.  How can this be accomplished?

if you follow all 7 steps, you can download a trial via one of the links on this page using a browser that accepts cookies:  http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a download problem, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem, but your browser must also allow cookies so that's (a restrictive browser setting) another potential source of problems.

  • Can recent graduate transfer Adobe Creative Suite to new computer?

I recently graduated from college and I am starting graduate school in the fall. I got an educational license for Adobe Creative Suite free while at univeristy. Now I bought a new computer to use for graduate school. Can I transfer the Adobe Creative Suite onto the new computer? I would hate to lose the program because its been a great learning tool, but I don't have the money to buy a new version of it.
Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Warm regards.

You can keep using the license to Creative Suite which you acquire as a student or teacher, even after you leave the university.
You can download the software here:
    Other downloads
Use the same serial number as you used before.
