How to move FPM applications between packages?

Is there any way to move a whole FPM application, including all of its configurations, from one package to another one? I cannot find any way to do this, neither in the SE80 nor in FLUID/FPM_WB.
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
Select your appl'n in SE80->Click on it->Select Goto(in the top menu)->Select Object directory entry->You will get a object directory entry window
In that window, you can change the package assignment.
Else,you can also achieve the same by executing the program SAPCTS_TOOLS.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks

  • How to move Portal application to 309

    I have a Portal 3.0.8 application and a fresh install of Portal 3.0.9 on another server. How can I move the application from 3.0.8 to 3.0.9 without having to upgrade the existing 3.0.8 application?
    Thank You.

    If you are moving an application between portal installations, both of the portal installations must be at the same version of Oracle9iAS Portal.
    So, in your case, you'll need to upgrade your 3.0.8 "development" installation to Portal 3.0.9, before trying to move your application to your existing Portal 3.0.9 "target" environment. Do that, or if your application is small, just rebuild it on your 3.0.9 environment.

  • How to move mobile applications, artwork, games folders?

    Hi,
    I added an external harddrive to my PC today due to my music harddrive (drive J:) running out of space. I moved/consolidated my music/media to the new external harddrive (drive E:) per instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1364?viewlocale=en_US This seemed to work fine....all my music and movies are moved to the new external drive.
    However, I noticed that my Mobile Applications, Games, and Artwork are still located on my main harddrive (drive C:), within my iTunes folder (same place as my library xml files).
    I'd like to move these application folders also, since my C drive is pretty full also. I'm ok with leaving the library files and iTunes folder there, but really need to move the other stuff to the new external drive.
    How can I do this?
    Thanks, Mike

    Answers depend on who is logged on, and their knowledge. This is basically a user chat board although a few Apple employees do drop in, sometimes.
    The Mobile Apps & Artwork folders are stored wherever the ITL file is stored. If they are still going to your C: drive, then your ITL file is on the C: drive.
    If you want those folders on your exHD, then move the ITL file over there while itunes is closed. Then press and hold the shift key while starting itunes and pick the ITL file that is on your exHD. iTunes will start using the new location from then on....but your old stuff will still be in the old location.
    To keep things straight, after doing that, you should download a free app and make sure you know where to copy over the apps from your C: drive. You might need to tell itunes where to find your apps since you moved them around using Win Explorer.
    You can do the same thing with a free single of the week, to see where the new Artwork folders should be.

  • Help me understand how to move pdf's between iPad and MacBook.

    I use the iPad 2 as a electronic reader of research articles.  When reviewing this material I desire to keep the annotations I make to the pdf via the PDFReader app.  I review enough material that I need the MacBook as a storage space.  But I haven't been able to figure out how to move pdf's that I've made annotations to, to the MacBook while maintaining the annontations I've made.  These annotations are maintained while the file is stored on the iPad.
    It seems as though for files not generated by Numbers, Keynote, or Pages the iCloud sharing of files between devices is a bit of a gimmick.  I'm using Mountain Lion and iOS 5.1.1.  Suggestions???

    Yes, if you drag from the iPhoto Window to the desktop you’re getting the current (edited) version of the pic. You’re also missing any added metadata, such as keywords etc.
    Yes, when you import to the other library you are missing the original file too.
    The only way to move pics/albums/Events (including metadata) between Libraries (and all versions) is with iPhoto Library Manager.

  • How to move an application

    Is it feasible to move an application (already properly installed) from one volume, or machine, to another?
    I know applications normally require installers.
    For istance, I've got iPhoto installed on one of my machines. I can't remember how it got there. I don't have the installer disk and don't feel like buying it.
    Has someome described a series of steps I can follow to move an application like this to a different machine? Let's say I'm using a thumb drive to do it. I know other files and folders related to the application would have to be located, copied, and then pasted in the right places on the new volume.
    Thanks in advance,
    Tim

    Hi Timothy,
    Many applications can just be copied -- drag the application or its folder from Applications folder to Applications folder. More complex apps can install code for themselves in /Library/Application Support. You'd want to check out and probably copy anything named for the application or the company, e.g., both Palm folders if you were moving the Palm Desktop application. DON'T just copy the Application Support folder
    Settings in <your home folder>/Library/Preferences, as Kappy notes. While in <your home folder>/Library, look for folders relevant to your app, e.g., iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins.
    You might have to move some fonts, if an application installed them and expects them to be present.
    A few apps scatter themselves more widely and for all practical purposes have to be reinstalled.
    Please be aware of copyright. Some version of iPhoto shipped with all recent releases of the OS, so copying that version to a machine where it had been deleted / lost / deliberately not installed would be fine. But iPhoto version 6 is a pay-for upgrade for most of us. Copying that would be a license and copyright violation.

  • How do I share applications between accounts (ie Skype)

    Not sure how to share applications between accounts?  If I load Skype to my account for example, how can my wife see and use that same Skype account without having to have her own?

    There are two aspects to this ... 1) where you install the Skype software on your Mac and 2) whose ID you use to login to Skype.
    1) You should always install software in the root /Applications folder.  This is the default installation folder for nearly all software.  Installing in /Applications makes the program (app) available to all user accounts on your Mac.  If you install the software in any other folder (especially a folder inside your own user account), it will usually limit use of the software to that account only.
    2) After installing Skype as I indicated above, if you want your wife to use her own user account on the Mac, but sign in to Skype with your Skype user ID, all she needs to do is log into her account on the Mac and then open Skype and sign into Skype with your user ID & password.

  • How to move photo's between libraries?

    I have been moving photos from one library to another by dragging them to the desktop from a library and then using the Import command to place them in the new library. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere as a way to move photo's between libraries. I didn't use the Export command simply because it was easier not to. The new library works ok, but did I lose something by using this method? When I use my method, I am only copying the edited version but not the "original" photo that may be in the library. Therefore, I don't have the original in the new library if I need it. This is ok since I no longer need the original. Do I understand this correctly. I would appreciate any explanation about this so.
    I am using iPhoto '08 version 7.1.5.

  • How to move Mobile Applications folder while sharing an Itunes library

    For reasons that would be long and hard to explain, I decided some times ago to open a second user on my Book Pro dedicated to my music collection. The collection required to be stored on an external HDD, so the second user's Itunes folder links to a folder where all music is stored, and I put it with all library files (xml etc) in the Shared folder. Now I have decided to let the primary and mostly used user to share the same music of the secondary one. I easily succeeded in doing this, just simply opening the primary ITunes and ask it to link to the Itunes folder under the Shared folder. I have got my entire library also from the primary user, with covers and so on.
    The trouble is that I use to manage an Iphone with the primary ITunes, and since I have not moved the Mobile Application folder (and what more?) into the shared ITunes folder, I cannot see anymore all data and applications into my IPhone section under ITunes, and I do not want to run experiments, doing a sync and just running the risk to lose all. How can I share the same ITunes library between two users, but to allow one of those still to see the IPhone data that was originally managed only from her ITunes, that now addresses to the ITunes folder under Shared folder that addresses to a HDD?.....

    Still misspeaking. Further use reveals that while the users iTunes use the shared file, when the phones add new apps their iTunes recreates its iTunes Media directory in the users home folder. This time I can exit iTunes, move the apps to the shared Mobile Applications, delete and empty trash the original apps/ and folder, then the users iTunes will find the app in the shared folder when it restarts. Clearly not very tidy...

  • How to move Aperture Application back to computer, but keep Library on External HD?

    Many thanks in advance for your attention.
    1. As my Aperture Library started out of the gate large, I began by putting both the Aperture Application and all of the Library on an External Hard Drive.
    2. How do I move the Aperture Application back to my computer, but leave all the Library (and its photos, contents, etc.) on the External Hard Drive?
    3. I tried opening a new Aperture Library on my computer and then attached my External Hard Drive.  I tried clicking that I wanted to keep all the data on the Eternal Hard Drive (presumably this would just transfer the Reference files to my computer - but leave the 100s of GB of photos and data on the External Hard Drive). But the Import button remains greyed out. It is like the Aperture Application on my computer sees another Aperture Application and Library on the External Hard Drive. One Library is open (on computer), so it can't access photos in 2nd Library - (External Drive). But if I open up External Drive Library, then I can't import in the direction I want.
    4. I don't want to import One Project. I am trying to now have my Aperture App and Reference files on computer, while keeping all my photos, etc. on External drive.
    5. One more question as I have read and heard it both ways. Some people say - One Aperture Library for all photos is the best way. That is the point of it. To organize all your photos.
    6. Others say - One library is absurd. As it grows and grows, it slows down and gets sluggish. Better to have multiple (smaller) libraries.

    Thanks for this link as well.
    This person seems to want to illustrate that you can have multiple Libraries, which you can.  The first example given is a good one: one Library for professional work (I was paid to make these, and I sell them), and one Library for, as the author states, "snapshots of family and friends".  The second example is suspect.  That is the author's Library for his Aikido club.  This seems set up simply so that he can show a third Library.  The Library does no appear to be used much, and is very small.  There is no reason such a Library shouldn't be either in his Professional Library (I get paid to take shots of my Aikido club) or in his personal Library (my Aikido friends).
    I put both this person and the other person to whose video you linked in the category of helpful people who have knowledge but not much experience.  (And let me here acknowledge that I tend to overstate my case: I'm happy to have my experience improved -- but I didn't see anything in either citation that did that.)
    A year ago I stated my general rules for creating Libraries.  I stick by them today:
    My rules-of-thumb are:
    •  One Library for each photographer or group of functionally identical photographers (a company that shoots weddings, for example) when the author/copyright-holder of the image is important.
    •  Separate Libraries for "authorless" images of a specific category (I keep a Library of paintings and drawings; who made the photographs is of no interest).
    •  Separate Libraries for items which need to be handled securely (medical documentation, for example)

  • How pass table of objects between packages?

    I am trying to pass a table of objects between two packages in the same schema in Oracle 8i.
    In the schema, I defined the object:
    create type formObject as OBJECT (
    name VARCHAR2(50),
    type VARCHAR2(25));
    In package1 spec, I defined this (global to package):
    TYPE formTable IS TABLE OF formObject INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
    In package1.procedure1 body:
    formWidgets formTable;
    added objects...
    the call..
    the_script := package2.generateScript(formWidgets, 2);
    In package2 spec, I defined this:
    TYPE formTable IS TABLE OF formObject INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
    FUNCTION generateScript (formWidgets IN formTable, numberWidgets in BINARY_INTEGER) return varchar2;
    In package2.body:
    FUNCTION generateScript(formWidgets IN formTable, numberWidgets IN BINARY_INTEGER) return varchar2
    IS
    etc.
    I get the following compilation error in package 1 on the call to package 2:
    PLS-00306 - Wrong number or type of arguments in call to generateScript.
    Of course it works when the generateScript() module is in the same package as the calling module.
    Both tables are index-by binary_integer tables of type formObject, which is global to the schema, so why can't it figure out they are of the same type?
    I tried to then make the table itself global to the schema by this:
    create or replace TYPE formTable as TABLE OF formObject INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
    but I get a compilation error.
    What do I need to do to get this to work?
    I would eventually like to be able to pass the table of objects between schemas. Can this be done in 8i?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Both packages have to use the same table definition, not only the same kind of definition.
    Put your table definition in the spec. of package 1, e.g.
    package p_one is
    type my_tab is table of x index by binary integer;
    In package 2, you create your function definition like
    package p_two is
    function do_it (p_tab in p_one.my_tab)
    and so on, this should work.

  • SOLVED: How to move XFCE4 config between computers

    Hi
    In a severely optimistic moment I decided to create identical XFCE configs on my laptop and desktop computers, by copying my desktop ~/.config/xfce4 directory to the same location on my laptop. I assumed this would work, but now my panel application launchers, while showing up on the panel, are all broken. They contain no information about the linked application.
    Both my desktop and laptop have the same apps and are running XFCE and Arch.
    Any ideas how I can copy my XFCE desktop/panel from one computer to another? Especially how do I fix my launchers without having to manually recreate all of them?

  • How to move/share photos between libraries?

    I recently learned how to create a new iphoto library (in addition to my default library) so I can organize my photos into distinct groups. I would like to move some photos from the original library to the new one. How do I do this?
    Thank you!
    CJ

    You can move the photo by exporting it from one library, switching to the second library and importing it- this will not keep faces or all metadata - the best solution to managing multiple libraries is iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ -  If you want or need multiple libraries it is a great $20 investment

  • How to move master files between projects (within Aperture)

    I've imported 6,000 files into Aperture - all into one project, imaginatively named "Photos". Since I imported from a directory structure, underneath this Photos project is a nice structure of folders and albums organising my photos as I did on my hard disk. (I imported references, and then relocated the actual files on disk to a new structure based on year-month-day, ready for amalgamation with 4,000 other photos from iPhoto. So the original disk structure no longer exists.)
    Since 6,000 files are too many for one project, I want to split this project into many. I've created some new top-level projects, such as "Macro" and "Flowers", and I now want to move the relevant masters into those projects.
    From what I've read, it seems the only way to do so is to drag images from the top level project - certainly when I drag from the albums, only the versions move. But with 6,000 images at the top level, this reorganisation is going to be slow and tedious, and not take advantage of the organisation I'd already done in my folder structure.
    Is there anyway to copy from an album, but to move the version's master to the new project too? I've tried option and alt-copying, but it doesn't seem to work.
    ...Jane

    As you said, you can only move masters from project level, won't work if you are in an album. To help you find and select the images you want to move you can use keywords.
    For example let's say you want to move all the images you have in the project 'photos' within the album 'macro' to a new project called 'macro'.
    Go to the album called 'macro' and select all the images. At the bottom of the browser you have the keyword controls, if you can't see it press shift+d to show them. You can create a temporary keywords group to help you classified the images by project, in this case we create a keyword named 'macro' and apply to all the images within this album.
    Now go to the project 'photos' and on the top right of the browser enter the word you wanna look for, in this case macro. Select all those images and drop them to the new project 'macro'. They will be moved.
