How to move music from MacBook to iMac?

I have used another software program to transfer music on cassette tapes to digital files. Because it is a lengthy process, I used my Intel MacBook Pro to do it. The music is now in iTunes on the MacBook, and I want to ADD the songs to the iTunes music already on my G5 Power PC.
Can someone explain, in layman’s terms, how I can do this? I’ve seen topics on similar topics, but I’ve overwhelmed by the answers!

Well, the problem is solved.
The wonderful tech guys at Compucraft helped me out. I consolidated my libraries on the G5, and everything seems to be working fine. The only glitch is that I cannot access the 6 songs I tried to play before consolidating my libraries. Oh well, small price to pay.

Take your pick. You have several choices. The easiest, if your computers are networked, would be to drag and drop between the computers. Otherwise copying the files to a thumb drive or DVD then taking the thumb drive or DVD to the other computer is probably easiest. I am having trouble learning how to move music from my PC to my iPOD via usb.

I have dell xps with windows 7.
Itunes tells me I have the most updated ios for my ipod.
No wifi and would like to use usb.

2. Select your device (iPod) on the right column
3. Select Music on the top of screen
4. Check Sync Music and select other options
5. Tap Sync on bottom right to complete the Task

Move Logic from MacBook to iMac

Hi, i recently moved from my old macbook to the new imac and i would like to know how to move Logic from one pc to the other.
I checked in the app store but only the new Pro x is available and i don't have anything in the purchased area.

Just to clarify,
You will have to install Logic Pro 9 from the DVDs you have as part of Logic Studio 2.0 (It is the fiull version yes? If not remember you will also need your previous Logic Pro 8 serial.. as well as the Logic 9 upgrade serial to install)
Once you have installed Logic Studio via DVD you must update it via OS X's update utility as Logic will not work correctly until you do so..
So, yes, grab an external DVD drive... and use that.
You could use other methods but the reality is, installing from scratch is the only real way to avoid all kinds of issues that using such things as restoring from Time Machine backups or using the Migration Assistant, typically cause.
As you have a new Mac.. might as well install it the right way giving you a good clean fresh start

If you're both syncing from the same computer, on the same user account this will be incredibly easy. Just plug the iPod in, and it will automatically sync with the library, just make sure the preferences are alright.
If the songs are all on the computer, merely plugging in your new one and syncing will transfer all the songs.

You cannot move purchases from one ID to another. If you have protected content you wish her to have then you can authorize her computer for your purchases. Shouldn't be an issue with music. It becomes more complicated as families try to share and update apps bought over multiple IDs.

How to move music from pc to mac book pro

I just bought a macbook pro for school. I have a large number of music files on my pc. I copied all the file to my mac book and then fired up itunes and scanned for media. It seems that itunes is making a second copy and putting them somewhere and my hard drive runs out of space. I guess I don't know how to work the macbook yet. Can someone giveme advise to get my macbook itunes to just recognize themusic files and import them to itunes?

There is a iTunes Library in your Music folder and yes iTunes is organizing them utilizing copies of your originals.
Since things are messed up and your just starting out, you can go ahead and click and drag the iTunes Library to the Trash can and from the Finder menu > Empty Trash.
Now place your PC music files on a external drive where there is enough room, (perhaps a copy is already there?)
Delete the copy of files from the PC drive if they are on your Mac's drive, this way you have enough room.
Your basically starting over again with one copy of the files on the external drive.
Now restart iTunes and it will create another iTunes Library blank as before, now head to the iTunes menu or import the music from the external drive.
Now it will copy them and organize them into folders according to artist/album get artwork, etc., with tags etc. provided your logged into iTunes and online into the iTunes Library.
Remmember with Mac's, just like Windows, you need ot unmount the drive first before physically disconnecting, with OS X you simply drag the external drive icon to the Trash can, which turns into a Eject button.
Or you can select the drive and press the eject key, or the eject arrow in the Finder window on the left side.
