I have windows xp on one computer and vista on this one...how do i move the music from the one with xp to this one??? burn it to a cd?? put it to my ipod??? i tried emailing the music to myself, but its taking forever

It is very easy. First get something to transfer your itunes file to the laptop (network$, thumb drive$$ (depending the size), external hard drive$$$ with cost of drive and plus a case it can be costly). Those are in order of slowness! After all those files are on the desktop download itunes. DO NOT download itunes first you will be begging for trouble. Open itunes and it will take a few seconds and it should find the file on it's own. Now all you need to do is sign into itunes agree to all the fun stuff and there you go. I did mine with an external Sata hard drive via esata and it could not of been easier. To find the file you need go into music/my music and find the big file named itunes. just copy and past and let er rip.

So here is some information on SE LE and Full Differences:
LabVIEW SignalExpress Limited Edition, otherwise known as LabVIEW

So this leads me to beleive you should be okay. You can copy and paste the SE.proj file from machine to machine.

Hello!
To have same library on both of your authorized machines, you need first locate, on both of them, the iTunes Media Folder location (Preferences > Advanced) then you need make them syncronized. How to do this, will exists some tools, I will not go further about that stuff, you can google them... back to topic:
After you do any change to the files content of one library, you can just drag and drop the media folder on iTunes, it will rescan the library itself and update all changes you made.
Be aware if your machines are authorized on multiple accounts, you need be logged on store with the account used to purchase any drm-enabled song you want to listen.

I can play music from the old PC on the new one. Can I move the music files within iTunes or do I do a backup/restore of the music outside of iTunes?

The easiest way to do this is with File > Add to Library...
Navigate to the other computer's iTunes Music folder and select everything you want to copy.

How to move music from one video to another.

I have two videos. I want to take the sound off of a video, and delete only the video part. Then, put the soundtrack onto another video clip. I can detach the sound from the video, but if i delete the video, the sound track goes with it. I can see a tiny appendage that continues to connect the sound track to the video track - shown below just above the 1.2m. How do I break that appendage? thanks

Add another clip at the beginning of the video (anything, it doesn't matter what) and move the sound track to the left so the 'hook' is now pointing to this clip. You can then delete the video and the sound track will remain and can be selected,copied and pasted into the other video.

Are you moving the itunes library?? That is entirely different to moving just music.
Apple have specific instructions for moving libraries..
And there is no need to use the TC.. other than as a switch and router.. share the folder in one Mac to copy to.

I have ripped my entire CD collection to an old laptop, basically turning it into a jukebox. I would like to move the music to my new laptop as well. I have tried to copy the music folder to an external hard drive and then copying it to the music folder on the new laptop, but this does not seem to work, as the music does not show up in iTunes. From the File menu in mail, select Import. Navigate to the old computer (connected via Target mode). Go to ~/Library/mail, and look for POP or IMAP folder names. They begin with these, and have a " - " in them. Import one for each account.
You could also use that Mail folder, and ~/Library/preferences/com.apple.mail.plist, and replace them on the Leo install, to rebuild.

If you're using iTunes, to burn music to a disc you have to make a playlist first. Select or highlight the music you want to burn(click while holding shift or apple key). Then after music is selected, go to File and then select "New Playlist from Selection". This will make a new playlist under "playlists" on the left of iTunes. When you click on the new playlist, you will see see the music you selected. In the bottom right corner of iTunes will be the "Burn Disc" button, which you will click once you are ready to burn the disc. Hope that helps!
