How to move my already installed Skype to a new co...

I have Skype 6.16.32.105 and its great version and I never bothered to update. How do I move my Skype to a new computer and continue using the current version installed on my old desktop?
I tried to search a install for Skype 6.16.32.105 but unable to locate a download link.

After you manually start skype the first time, go to Tools -> Options, and under 'General Settings', select the box 'start skype with windows'.
@ruwim: wow, really surprised you mentioned that. I thought Microsoft was desperately trying to get everyone onto the latest 7.x version, and thus the reason they removed all the previous versions and archives?
... ah, unless you're not affiliated with skype/microsoft?
I'm not affiliated with Skype, nor with Microsoft. Just a Skype user.
This is User-to-User forum, and unless you see a Skype widget next to the forum user's name, this person is not affiliated with Skype.

I have aperture 3.2.4 on my laptop and have the serial number, but just bought a new MAC and I can't get the Ver 3.0 link to work. Anyone know how to move it from my laptop to our new mac?

I am talking about the Ver 3 download link that came with the purchase email.
That link is no longer available. Use "Migration Assistant" to copy your Applications from your old mac to the new Mac, then immediately run software update. Aperture Version 3.2 will not run on your new mac with Mavericks, you will have to Upgrade to version 3.4.5 at least - you can download this update from the Support page: Aperture 3.4.5
Then launch Aperture and enter your registration key and try now too update from version 3.4.5 to 3.5 from the AppStore. The AppStore will change your Aperture registration to an AppStore version, so you will able to reinstall by downloading from the AppSTore in future.
If you want transfer only Aperture and no other applications, do it manually: You will have to copy not only the application but folders from the libraries as well:
    /Applications/Aperture.app
    /Library/Application Support/Aperture/
    ~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/

Alibutlerdesigns you will use the same process to install on your second computer.  You can copy the installation files using a USB drive if you do not wish to download the installation files again.

Connect to iTunes and backup your 3GS.  Connect your 4S and and go through the initialization process.  When it asks you to setup your phone as new or restore from a backup, select "restore from backup".  Select the most current backup you just made of your 3GS.  You should be good to go after that.

  • How to move files after installing new hard drive

I am considering the installation of a new 80 or 100 GB hard drive. I purchased the new iLife 06 program but I do not have enough space to install on my present 60 GB unit. I only have 3 GB available. I've read all the posts involving the possible brands, downloaded the instructions how to swap out the units. My question is how to backup and install my files and applications so I may reinstall onto the new drive. Can I just copy my hard drive volume onto my external Lacie storage unit and then drag the volume back to the new hard drive after booting off my OS disk? Any advice on how to move my apps and files? Do I need to purchase cloning software?

The easiest way is buy an external firewire enclosure and put your new drive in it. Then format your new drive. then use Carbon Copy Cloner to copy your internal drive onto your new drive. Then install your new drive and put your old one in the enclosure. You are now in business with an external backup on your old drive.

  • How to move ALL my iTunes stuff to a new installation...

Hi there! I have an iTunes library with songs, videos, and PDFs and I want to back it up and move it to my new computer. So I have two partitions on my HDD... I keep all the stuff in a folder on the D:. I then format the C: drive, move the "iTunes" folder out of "My Music" and install iTunes (creating a new/fresh iTunes folder). Now how do I get all of my music, videos, and PDFs back into iTunes? I know how to get the music and videos... (pref - copy music to iTunes library setting). What about the PDFs?
Any ideas? This applies to both my PC and my PowerBook.
    Thanks,
    Keith

The easiest method is to 'clone' the current data and move it to the exact same location on the new PC.
Make note of the exact path of the music files, photos, and other items. Copy them to the same drive letter and path on the new PC as they are currently. Also make a copy of the 'iTunes Library.itl' file and use that for your iTunes database file once you install iTunes on the new PC (you'll need to copy the old ITL file over the just created one on the new PC).
You may also consider copying the two 'iTunes.pref' files that are in your 'C:\Documents and Settings' sub-folder (do a search for them).
Done correctly, it will completely clone your current PC status onto the new PC.
That's the simple explanation. Implementing it can be difficult and takes some care to get it right.

  • How to move Oracle APPS 12 setup data to new APPS 12 production environment

    Dear All
I need to know , how we can move Oracle APPS 12 setup data to new APPS 12 production environment?? What is the easy and secure way, we dont want to do the new installation of APPS 12 and re-setup the things....
    cheers

    Hi,
Can you please explain more regarding to move setup from DEV to PROD instance. The steps are documented in the iSetup manual, so have you gone through the documentation?
Also we would install PROD with multi tier nodes, and HA cluster. So in that case what would be the change to move the setups from DEV to PROD, as DEV is single node TEST APPS 12 installation.iSetup is helpful in moving the functional setup between the two instances. If you want to create an identical copy of your DEV instance to PROD instance (provided that both instances contain no data), then you can use "Rapid Clone" -- See (Note: 799735.1 - Rapid Clone Documentation Resources, Release 11i and 12).

  • HOw to Move music from one iPod to a New iPod

    Hi
    Two questions actually;
    1) My wife wants an iPod, and wants hers to have all the same music as mine, is that possible?
    If not
    2) Our current iPod is only 30G and I want to upgrade to a 120G. I have not been able to find any info about how to move all the songs to my new iPod.
I tried searching this site but a lot of unrelated 'stuff' comes up.
    Thanx.

If you're both syncing from the same computer, on the same user account this will be incredibly easy. Just plug the iPod in, and it will automatically sync with the library, just make sure the preferences are alright.
If the songs are all on the computer, merely plugging in your new one and syncing will transfer all the songs.

    From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

  • Please help with updated info how to Move iTunes 10.5.2 to a new MacBook Pro

With Christmas fast approaching, and new MAC computers being left under the tree, I would find it helpful for an update as to how best to move my son's iTunes library from my iMac (late 2011 version with Lion) which he is sharing to his new MacBook Pro (Early 2011 with Lion upgrade) . There is a lot of old information floating around on how to do this with prior versions of iTunes, but with iCloud and Apps now in the cloud I would like someone knowledgeable to update me and the community with the best way to do this for the latest versions of iTunes running on Lion. He also has his iPhone 4 synched with his account on my iMac and would like to deauthorize his iTunes on my iMac and have him sync on his new computer as well.   I know it is probably hidden among the forums somewhere, but with a lot of people upgrading to new computers, it would be helpful for a refresher on this thread. Thanks!

  • How to move an old iTunes folder into a new user account?

Hi there, so I have a 98Gb iTunes library and it was sitting on an older version of an iMac (2006 OSX 10.6.8  iTunes 11.4).  Realised it would be cumbersome to transfer to my newer iMac (2014 - OSX 10.9.5 iTunes 12.1.2.27) so I used the migration assistant to transfer everything across.  Only problem  is now I have 2 user accounts for myself on the new iMac and all I want to do is consolidate my iTunes library into one, but am struggling to move the iTunes folder directly into the newer user account on the new iMac.  I keep getting a "you do not have permission to move this".  I've tried both passwords to each account but still it won't move the folder.  Any suggestions or directions would be greatly appreciated.

Were you saying that you have two user accounts (one one the old Mac and one on the new Mac) or two Apple IDs with your music?
Read the original post. The user used Migration Assistant to copy files from an old computer to a new one. This creates a new computer account with the old content. The user then had two accounts on the new computer with content the user wished to merge.
