Hi,
Connect your iPad to your computer, launch iTunes. Restore from the iPad (1)'s backup.
If for some reason some apps do not sync, connect the iPad (2) to your computer, launch iTunes, select the Apps tab in the menu then click the Sync button bottom right side of the iTunes window.

My family has been syncing our iPods & iPads to one iMac's (Running OSX 10.9.1) iTunes (11.1.4). I got my daughter a MacBook (same OSX & iTunes) and want to sync her iPod & an iPad to the new Mac, but without loosing the content form each device (Apps she dowloaded from the mobile devices & their settings (like game progress, etc.)..
I don't seem to be able to find any solution that works. Migration Assistannt did not work.
Any help would be appreciated.

A device can only sync to one library at a time. You need to put a copy of the library on her computer.

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the iTunes Library.itl file in the moved iTunes folder.

If you put it in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)

I find it hard to believe that this information isn't clearly available somewhere, but it isn't and I don't think I've seen anyone here who is 100% sure. However, I believe you can have up to 10 associated devices, which include authorised computers (of which you can have up to 5), I suspect the Apple TV might become a temporary associated device while it's in use, but I'm not entirely sure myself.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Hi,
I've rented a movie and downloaded it on my IPAD4. I didn't watch it yet and I prefer to move the movie to my Macbook pro Itunes.
I've connected the IPAD4 to the Macbook using the USB cable provided with the IPAD power supplier but I cannot find a way to transfer the file.
Does anybody know how to move the file from the IPAD to the Macbook/Itunes?

You can't. Movies rented on an iPad 4 can't be transferred to any other device or any computer.

I get how to move the music. I get how to transfer the store purchases. My fear is that I will somehow lose my Contacts and Calendar information, and my game progress. I'm not using Outlook to sync Contacts or Calendars on either machine. I'm not averse to using iCloud, but again, afraid of losing Contacts. Hours of fruitless searching and contradictory and outdated advice have lead me to write to you all. If anyone can provide clear, concise, step by step instructions on how to sync my iPad 2 with my new computer so that I can get back to playing Candy Crush without losing my Contacts, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network, Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then launch iPhoto. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.

When reviewing this material I desire to keep the annotations I make to the pdf via the PDFReader app. I review enough material that I need the MacBook as a storage space. But I haven't been able to figure out how to move pdf's that I've made annotations to, to the MacBook while maintaining the annontations I've made. These annotations are maintained while the file is stored on the iPad.

Yes, if you drag from the iPhoto Window to the desktop you’re getting the current (edited) version of the pic. You’re also missing any added metadata, such as keywords etc.
Yes, when you import to the other library you are missing the original file too.
The only way to move pics/albums/Events (including metadata) between Libraries (and all versions) is with iPhoto Library Manager.

Photos that were synced from your computer can't be deleted directly on the iPad - they are deleted by moving them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing, and they should then be removed from the iPad.
