How to not print a certain background image?

Hello all,
I wonder how can one make a certain background image automatically not to be printed ...
changing the transparency to 0% every time is not very elegant ...

Please can anyone clarify, in Account Payables Release 12, is it possible to modify a payment batch, to not print a certain check. If so, request summary of how to do it.

    Hi Ballu,
Which responsibility are you using in R12 to get the Payment Batch screen? The Payment Batches screen which was there in 11i does not appear in R12 "Payables Manager" responsibility.
I have just started working on the R12 upgrade and I need some help.
    Thanks,

On the printer driver documentation, Page 5, in the Imaging setting, although the options are not specifically shown, there should be an option on that screen of the print driver to click and select "B/W" or 'black and white' or 'grayscale' or 'monochrome' as Print Mode rather than the "Full Color" option shown in the illustration below.
You access these settings once you have selected 'Print' from an app.
If necessary, you might need to click on the 'Down arrow' button next to the printer name (OS X 10.6), or 'Show Details' button at the bottom of the print dialog box (OS X 10.8) to see additional settings.

  • HT204003 how can i print a boarding pass image file from passbook?

how can i print a boarding pass image file from passbook?

I do not believe that Passbook supports printing. You can email, but not print. Then again I'm not sure what it actually emails, if that is a graphic of the card or what. I'm going to try it with my Starbuck's card, but there is no setting for printing within Passbook.
EDIT: Actually it sends the email as an attachment for a Passbook card file, that cannot be handled by my computer. Hope that answers your question.

Website www.bludot.com is not showing the proper BG image/video on all browsers (Safari, Chrome and all IE versions) but not on Firefox. The code is right, but FF is still pulling old images. The correct image/HTML5 video should be a cake, as displayed on all other browsers.

Firefox 9 is being withheld for Mac users due to unresolved crashing problems.
A test case would be nice and the URL for the website in question, so someone here can experience that problem first hand.

  • How do I keep the body background-image centered?

I have a body background-image that does not fill up the
entire window on the tops and bottoms of most monitors (it
strectches to the left and right just fine) and so I would like to
have it centered vertically with equal amounts of the
    background-color #ECE5C8.
    I assumed using background-position: 50% 50% would do the
trick and it does until switching to full screen mode and all the
content jumps upwards and messes up the whole site layout (IE
only-in friefox, the background-image still doesn't center) so
    instead I have the background-position set to: 50% 0%.
Thanks a million to anyone who can help me get it centered, I
know there has to be an easy fix but I sure can't figure it out!

There would be only two ways to make this layout 'work'.
    1. Just make everything on that page a graphic. Then there is
    no
possibility that resizing the text in the browser will blow
    the layout.
This is a very bad idea for obvious reasons.
    2. Have the text containing 'graphical box' built in pieces
    so that as the
text expands, it can cause the box to expand as well. The
    easiest way to do
this is with a top a middle and a bottom image of the box,
    using each as the
background image of three stacked containers. Place the text
    in the middle
container and as it expands, it will tile the middle
    background image
vertically to give the impression of the box expanding. This
    approach
doesn't lend itself to your background image, since there is
    no way to tile
the background image to fill the newly created space.
Beyond that, I think you are a dead duck. The problem is not
    that this is
what you were given to work with - it's that you didn't
    understand how
unusable the design was when you accepted it. I think your
    best option now
is to go back to the designer and explain to them how this
    lovely layout
only works well in print, and not on the web. Show them how
    it fails.
Solicit suggestions from them for how to make it work in a
    medium where
there is no way to control the size of the text.

    Hello ,
I am having problems creating a pdf.
When the printing starts it gets to a certain point and then Cannot print some imported images. Click OK to continue. comes up. Acrobat then produces an error log, as follows:

The reason it will not print is because I have images that are placed inside a graphic frame that are very large. The only solution is to crop the offending pictures.
Does anybody have a more elegant solution?

  • How to specify relative path for background image  in xsl

    Hi,
I am generating a PDF from Apcahe FOP. I have an xsl for that, in the xsl fo:block I am displaying a background image. When the image path is absolute like..C:\image\logo.png it works fine. But I want to have the image in my WebContent\images folder and my xsl file is in WebContent\xsls folder. So when I try giving the relative path as ../images/logo.png, the image is not displayed.
Can anyone tell how to do this???
    Thanks,
    Sanjeev.

    I have a fo:block like this :
    <fo:block border-style="solid" border-width="0.2pt" text-align="left"
                             background-image="url('http://localhost:8080/Project/images/table_header_center.png')"
                             font-size="8pt" font-weight="bold" color="white" padding-top="1pt"
                             padding-bottom="1pt">
                             <xsl:value-of select="tr/td/span" />
</fo:block>In the above code you can see that the the background-image="url('http://localhost:8080/Project/images/table_header_center.png')"
has been given as absolute. The images folder is in my WebContent directory. I want this path to be relative to the context of my application , something like background-image="url('../images/table_header_center.png')".

  • How do I change the blurred background image on the Select User Screen

I have changed the desktop image on all of my users, as well as the screen savers.  However, when I logout of one user and the screen where you select another user comes up, there is an image on the background of this particular screen that I cannot figure out how to change.
This is crucial because I do not want to see my crazy, abusive ex-wife every time I select a different user...even if it is a blurred image.
This blurred out image does not appear anywhere else on any of the different user accounts as a background/desktop image.
How do I change this background image?
    Please help.

This seems to be a bug that goes away w/ 10.10.1
    Yosemite login screen possible bug
"if I put my Mac in sleep mode, when I wake up it, the password request screen uses the default Yosemite wallpaper in blurred mode instead of the wallpaper I have chosen for my desktop."
    or maybe not:
"And it still happens after the 10.10.1 update."
    This seems to work.
"The only way I was able to fix this problem was to go Mission Control and close all extra desktops I was using except Desktop 1 (which you cannot delete if it is the last one). After deleting the extra desktops besides Desktop 1, I went into preferences and set my wallpaper. Once I complete both of these steps I returned to the login screen. The wallpaper I used for Desktop 1 was now my background for the login screen. Hope this helps."

  • How to create a full page background image that is fluid?

I'm creating a website for my portfolio, and one of the things I wanted to have is a full page background image that the div tags are in.  I know there is a way to put it in via page properties, but that doesn't allow you to add CSS styles and I want the image to re-size with window changes.  This requires putting the image in a div tag, but then it pushes the other div tags (such as my header section and navigation) so that they aren't over the image like I want.  Is there a way to push the image div tag to the back so that the other div tags go over it.
I'm using HTML5, and it will also be a responsive design, but the fluid background is only for desktops.
I don't go on the adobe website often, so if you have an answer to this, or need more information to figure it out please email me at [email protected] and you'll get a faster reply than on this forum.
Thank you everyone for your help.

You should set this forum to email you on a reply.
I don't have a link in your question to determine how you are trying to do this, but here's a technique I have used:
Take a look at this website and see if it doesn't have what you are trying to do. You'll see the flag in the background and I have used opacity in the layers on top of it to keep the flag somewhat visible.
Now, what the flag does not do is re-size itself with the viewport (the browser window). But the flag is in a div that sits on top of the body. My code is accessible, but you're looking for the flag div and it's defined in CSS thusly:
    #flag {
              width: 100%;
              background-image: url("../images/polish-flag.png");
              background-repeat: no-repeat;
              min-height: 900px;
Now, CSS3 adds a new attribute you can apply to the background image thusly:
         background-size: 100% 100%;
That would make your background fill the viewport.
I chose to not do that, because I was worried about versions of Internet Exploder before 10.

  • How to setup jpeg file as background image for all site pages and resolution stay same?

I have uploaded my new site to http://wwwtjhtestdec2012.businesscatalyst.com
I have background image set the same on all site pages  but image is incorrectly zoomed way in on some pages (like Home page for example).
The Donate Page shows the correct resolution which I want displayed on all site pages.
How do I set all other site pages to match background image resolution of the Donate Page?
I am not sure what I am doing wrong that is changing this, or if it's possibly a bug?
I want the background image to be full screen on all site pages please advise how to resolve.
    I would appreciate the assistance!
    Thank you kindly!
    Tammy

    I have re-uploaded my site to http://wwwtjhtestdec2012.businesscatalyst.com.
If I set the Master page to Tile vertically that is only way I can get full screen background image of vegetables (without distortion).
    Then however another issue occurs....
On Home Page of site I set same property to Tile and the background is better (no visible line where tiles meet---above the navigation tool bar--that is what I want for all pages associated to Master.
So logically, I tried setting a 2nd associated site page to same master, to Tile but on Statement of Faith Page, notice the horizontal line where tiles meet, above my navigation bar on that site page?
Why does Muse not handle both site pages associated to the same master identically?
Any of the other options besides Tile or Tile vertically cause the background to not fill entire screen.
    Ideas?

  • How to add a button to background image in Fireworks

    Hello!
I created  recently a clickable button with a rollover effect. I made it iin FW  CS5 as a symbol and exported. So I have now .html file and 2 images  files (2 states of my button). The button itself works fine on a live  site. Now, I want to learn a technique to be able to put that button  with the effect and the link in it on an image (it would be like a  background for the button).
    Thanks in advance!

    Two things.
First, when you save from Fireworks, you get a Fireworks document .png, complete with layers, vector objects, and all the other various complex definitions Fireworks can support. Fireworks is the only program that can interpret this information. Any other program (such as a browser) can display what the document looks like, but it's probably much larger than it needs to be for the Web. For Web use, you want to export an image (.gif, .jpg, or one of the bitmap .png variations). Be careful when you export an image to a bitmap .png format that you do not use the same name as your master FW document and overwrite your FW document.
Second, DW is not a layout program. In order to create HTML files, you probably ought to learn a bit about HTML. I recommend you work through one or both of these tutorials:
    http://articles.sitepoint.com/article/html-css-beginners-guide
    http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/html-css-techniques/design-and-code-your-first-website-i n-easy-to-understand-steps/
An HTML file defines blocks of content. The blocks can be stacked or can contain other blocks. The basic html file contains two blocks: the head section and the body section. The only thing in the head section that shows is the page title in the browser's address bar. Also, JavaScript code is often put in the head section. The body section contains all the visible content of your page. Within the body section, you add blocks of content that are HTML elements.
Content blocks can have properties., One of the properties is a background image. If you want to have a page background, then you need to create an image, export it from Fireworks, and then set it as the background for the body section of the page. That image is then behind all the content blocks you define within the body section: buttons, paragraphs, other images, tables, anything. Most of these other elements can also have background images defined, too.
Fireworks produces images that are defined by what's visible as well as any active slices (such as those created by buttons). When you exported your background image with a button, Fireworks gave you an HTML table (one of the many kind of content blocks) because the button defined slice regions. Fireworks can't "know" that you really wanted a background image and then the HTML to put a button in a certain location on a page. It created the images you defined (but not what you wanted).

  • How to block changes of desktop background image

I manage a 30-computer Mac lab in a public high school and I would like to prevent users from changing the desktop background image.
As far as I know, there are two ways to change the desktop background image: through System Preferences and by right-clicking an image and selecting Set Desktop Picture.
Blocking System Preferences is easily done through Parental Controls.
But how do I prevent the right-click, Set Desktop Picture method of changing the desktop image?
You can imagine the kinds of images that end up as desktop backgrounds in a high school computer lab.

You might try going to System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts. In the left pane select Services, then uncheck the item "Set Desktop Picture" under Pictures in the right pane. Once that's done, block that prefs pane.

  • How can I use a refrence background image ?

    HI,
I need to register align horizontally and vertically) about 100 images to the first. I don't want to stack or merge them. An ideal way to accomplish this would be to be able to set the first image as a background reference image for all images in the group. There would be left/right buttons so I could advance through the stack, a slider to adjust the visibility of the foreground image, and up/down & right/left arrows so I could move the upper image a pixel at a time in any direction. In this case I don't need to rotate the image, but this would also be something a person might want to control. Then I would move through the group of images, stopping on each one to align the image to the first. One at a time, or after I am done, it would save all the aligned images to a new filename and folder, without changing the transparency of the image or in any way using the background reference image. Without rotating the images, every pixel in the new image would be the same as in the original, except moved. I would start by resizing the canvas of all the images so they have a border area. This way I can move the image around and not lose any of it.
Of course I could put the reference image in the background layer and the image to be adjusted above it on another layer. Then i can use the background as a reference by making the upper image somewhat transparent. Finially I could delete the background layer and save the image with just the adjusted layer. But this would be tedius with 100 images, even worse if there were 1000..
Is there a reference background image capability in Photoshop CC ? Is there a better or different way to do this ? Or can Bridge do it ?

Perhaps I need to explain my specific application. I have 120 images that are part of a time lapse sequence. The camera is photographing a meteor shower. I was able to capture a meteor which left a persistent trail that lasted about 5 minutes. Because the camera is on a tripod, the stars are constantly moving and in fact moved quite a bit during the 5 minutes the trail was visible. These images are of much higher resulution than the 1080 video I am producing. I have used premier to track the spot in the images and show the meteor and trail as a video close up that runs at about 15% speed. because the exposures were 30 seconds ;long, every 33 seconds, the sky has visibly moved from image to image. because I use only a few keyframes Premier tracks the spot smoothly. But since the pictures are each moved, not moving, the stars in the final video move back and forth with each image. they never go anywhere, but this movement is distracting and annoying. Theoretically I could eliminate this movement by having a different key for each frame. But the better way is to prepare the images so they are all aligned. Then there will be no movement at all.
You have seen this effect in documentaries. Here's a hypothetical situation. Someone has handheld video of an important event happening. because of the situation and the handheld camera, the picture moves around like crazy. To be able to view the event clearly as part of an investigation, each frame is aligned to the first so the subject doesn't move at all, while the image frame moves all around. I have seen this many times. Now I need to do it.
I have 120 pictures which all must be aligned so the stars in the picture do not move. i need to see a refrence image through the image to be adjusted, so I can move the image to be adjusted until its stars are perfectly aligned with stars in the refrence image. Of course this is like stacking, which is used to reduce noise and increase detail. but I don't want to stack the images, just adjust them horizontally and vertically, and then save them in their adjusted state.
