How to Notify that pdf is already in use when opened ?

Hello, is it possible to notify that a pdf document is already opened by another user when i try to open it by a network share ?
Because if 2 o 3 user open the same document all it's ok but when the modified document was saved it notify that is already openeb by other user and they lost all the job.

I asked this here before and got an answer. I don't see anything wrong if you have a small network at home, as long as you aren't using it at the same time. My big complaint is that I can't run one app (Entourage) and another app (Word) at the same time on two different computers.

Mulitple users on a share file, how do u notify that file is already in use?

Just like Word or Excel, I have pdf share file that multiple people use, how do I lock it and provide only one user at a time to edit the document. In Word or Excel it says " do you want a read only copy".

Generally speaking if a file is opened, the OS should be marking the file as in use. Any other person that tries to open the file should get that message and at best be allowed to open a copy. Where is the file that is being opened located? What is this a network share? What OS is running the network resource? How are the users getting to the resource and opening it?
In its origin a PDF was essentiall digital stoneware and there may have not been a need for Acrobat to trigger a system lock on the file as being used. Certainly, since today PDFs are edited, filled out, commented upon, etc Reader and Acrobat should be triggering a system locak on the file.
On the other end of the spectrum, MS Office applications frequently do not release a file in use lock for documents that have been closed until the application closes down.

Our division is digitizing it's files, and we've been using
Adobe Acrobat 5.0 (2). We've 'scanned-in' several hundred
documents, but they have been saved as .pdf files (which are
currently not 'searchable', as they are only scanned images).
We just received the Adobe Acrobat Capture 3.0 program, and
we were told that we would be able to scan-in any new documents and
save them both as .pdf and OCR documents (Optical Character
Recognition). Therefore, we were told, we would be able to search
through the body of the document, using OCR, and not just through
the document filename, as we had been doing before.
HOWEVER, we don't know how to use this new OCRing program.
Also, we don't know how to convert the .pdf documents which we've
already scanned into OCR recognizable documents.
Is someone able to assist us here in this forum?

Welcome to the Apple community.
Once you have created a rescue address, you cannot delete it, nor can you change it to the same address as used by your ID. There are numerous providers you can get additional email addresses from, such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Google etc etc.

As has been mentioned Adobe Reader cannot export PDF page content. Nor can it create PDF or manipulate PDF page content.
What you can do is use one of Adobe's online subscription services. Two provide for PDF to Word export.
There's ExportPDF and PDF Pack.

I had never used JDAPI before reading your post, but the attached code creates a minimal WebUtil-enabled form from scratch -- adapting it to update an existing form should be fairly straightforward. I've only been coding in Java for about a year, so consider this only as a starting point -- there may be better, easier ways of doing this.

From this we can come to the conclusion that, whether to use one index or not by oracle
would also depend on the data which is present in the table. This has to be this way as
we see in the bind peeking, if oracle sticks to only one plan, say only use the full table
scan, it would be a performance hit when it searches for the second query ie where object_name
='emp';

Evenif we have the index on ename column, oracle wouldn't be able to use the index, as there is a function in the predicate column. If you need oracle to use the index, we need to create a function based index as below.

Is it normal that the DataSource field is blank when opening a master data which is also an InfoSouce in InfoSource page.
Just locate an InfoSource which is also a master data or data target where next to which is a green triangle picture icon in InfoSource page, open it, the top part (Commnication Structure) is automatically expended. Expend the lower part "Transfer_Structure/Transfer_Rules", find the DataSource field is blank. This only occurs for an InfoSource which is also a master data which have more than two data loads (e.g., one is attibute, and the other is text load) or there are two InfoPackage loads for this master data. We checked for master data with only one InfoPackage under it (e.g., only text load) and find it's OK that the datasource field is not blank when expending the lower section.

It's not common. If you have three Data Sources like attributes, texts and hierarchy by default attribute data source will appear on the screen and for the rest of the things we need to do dropdown and select. This is how in general it appears.

Simple first step.. restart the TC.. ie unplug the power cord.. count to 10.. plug it back in.
Second step if that fails.. restart the network.. off everything.. restart in order.. modem.. TC.. clients 2min gap.
Finally if you are prepared to fight you can load 5.6 utility onto Mountain Lion and do a disconnect all users.. or a few other ways.. turn off file sharing and turn it back on.
The issue being TM did not dismount the sparsebundle correctly.

A third-party app probably cannot obtain a stream from another app. To the best of my knowledge, such a capability is not provided in the software development kit, apps being "sandboxed" from each other and so allowed to communicate only in very specific and limited ways.
I'm not completely sure what you mean by "limitations on video capture". An iPhone, to the best of my knowledge, can natively record video only through it's built-in camera, and audio while doing video recording only through the built-in microphone or mic/headphone jack. There might be a video recording app that would allow audio input from an external device connected to the dock connector, but I'm not sure.
