How to obtain a list of a manager's direct employees and the manager

Hi
Currently I am using the evalutaion path "MSSDIREC" for various reports, i.e. phonelist. We now want the reports extended so they not only shows the employees directly under the manager, but also the manager him-/herself.
Is there a standard evaluation path for this purpose. I have tried with O-S-P, but it also returns the employees of organizations under the manager, which is not what we want. We only want the first level under the manager.
Any suggestions?

Create a new evaluation path as follows:

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

How to obtain a list of subcontext names within a context?

Hello, I'm just curious if anyone in here has overcome this issue. It'll be great if any of you can help me out a little.
For example...
1) Assume there is 2-3 subcontexts within a context, and 2-3 java objects that is also stored within that context.
2) When you do a search with the returning object flag in search control to true, I'll run to an error when I hit a subcontext, because I created a loop that will store the object into a list by something like
obj = sResult.getObject( ) ;
This came to a conclusion for me that before I store any object, I should obtain a list of the subcontexts within the context, so that I'll not call the getObject( ) method when I get to a subcontext.
Suggestion and advice is welcomed!

Problem:
I am going through the NamingEnumeration list that gets returned when I call the search method, and within my loop, when I call the getObject( ) method, and if it is a subcontext, then I'll hit an exception which will stop my loop.

Now, in this case, I can loop, then in my try block, I will store my object, if I get an exception, then I know it is a subcontext, and I'll continue on within my loop.

How to arrange my list by last modified? plz read and u'll know wat i mean

Hey folks
I know this question is a no brainer.. but check this out it's quite weird... so I was on tinypic.com trying to upload an image... and normally i have all my stuff listed by "last modified" because I do a lot of changes to whatever it is I normally work on... but check this out.

You see how it's listing everything as "Last Modified" but what's weird is it shows everything for today in chronological order... why is that?

He has clicked the little the column header arrow so it points up, which means it should be displaying things with the oldest at the top and the most recent at the bottom. Indeed, if you skip the files modified "Today" the rest of 'em are in that order, 8/31/08 down to 1/15/09. Even the "Todays" are listed in that order, with the earliest at the top and most recent at the the end of the "Today" group. But they should be in that order at the bottom of the list, not appearing where they do as a little sub-clump above the other items! Anyway, it looks bizarre to me. I wonder if it is something in the software used to upload? Anyway, when I do an Open dialog in the apps I have running (Safari, TextEdit and Preview) and select the Desktop, and click the Date Modified column so the little arrow points up, I see the oldest items at the top, the most recent at the bottom.

How can I sort photos on iPads, I have several models and the order is different on every one.

We use iPads as photo albums. I have several model iPads and the photo order is different on Avery one. How do I get them to sort in the order I want, preferably alphabetically.

It's a lot easier to use 3rd party apps like Photo Manager Pro. You just tap "Edit" and drag the photos around.

I have one 120GB SSD and one 1TB SSHD, how do do I make one of them my boot drive and the other my data drive?

I'm currently upgrading my mid-2010 Macbook Pro 13", I've purchased some new RAM and also a 120GB SSD and a 1TB SSHD (Hybrid SSD and HD) with the intention of using an OWC data doubler to get rid of my dvd drive and place the SSD drive there instead. So after I've placed everything into the Mac, how do I make the SSD my boot drive with the OS on it and everything, and the SSHD where all my data (music, photos etc) are stored?

Youll need to CLONE your internal HD to your target (temporarily) external drive.
1. grab carbon copy cloner or (my fave) superDuper CLONE app.
2. attach target clone drive via USB in an enclosure or HD dock. Firstly format the target (external new) HD in disk utility in “Mac OS extended journaled”
3. clone internal HD to target HD (external) [takes about 40 mins depending on size]
4. Boot ONCE from external (go to sys. preference to boot from external) to TEST the new Clone
5. open bottom (see videos on ifixit or youtube on same) and remove old, install new.

When I downloaded Foxfire the home page came up with "Meet Mozilla Foxfire" then below that it shows "Become a Firefox Expert in 8 Easy Steps". I would like to delete this and in lieu of that show recent highlights and the news. I have no problem with the tool bars they are fine just the home page.

How do i get avi's to play in quick look and the preview bar?

I have a MBP and i was wondering if i can get finder/Quicklook to play AVI's im pretty sure my old MB did it find but my MBP wont?

To the best of my knowledge, here is how it works. If you
have selected a preloader (meaning a SWF file and NOT a "Loading
screen" - there are two types) You will notice a progress indicator
of sorts. Normally you see it count up to 60% and the project
begins to play. What this is designed to accomplish is that the end
user would never encounter a wait for things to buffer, play a
little, wait, play a little, and so on.
So with a preloader, 60% of the project is received from the
server before the playhead is released and begins to play. The
thought behind this is that with a linear movie that plays from
start to finish, by the time the playhead would ever reach the end
of that 60% part, the remaining 40% will have downloaded and the
user will never encounter a pause.
As I understand it, the loading screen (static image) is used
when you insert a Captivate in a PDF. It serves as an indication
something is present and must be clicked to play it. I'm sure there
are other uses as well.

you can creat the evalution path in IMG -> PM -> PA -> OM -> Basing setting -> evalution paths..
1. select the evaluation path and make the relationship between the objects..
2. test this in easy access under geneeral structures..
but if u want to assing that evaluation path to spcefic user, then u need to user structureal authorisation..
which is different from general authorisation management..

The combo update may replace anything you have inadvertently deleted.

You can reapply it over the top of any previously downloaded version. I see that your profile says 10.6.8.
Then software update to pick up any new security, iTunes updates.
