How to obtain hardware key during first installation?

I'm installing SAP Netweaver 7.0 and got stucked when the installer requested Solution Manager Key. I went to SAP site to generate the key and there I was requested the hardware key. As far as I understand, the hardware key may be obtained using saplicense program but I don't have it installed yet.
How can I provide the hardwaer key during installation?

Hi,
You need solution manager system to generate the installer key..
Login into Solution manager system - and enter T-code SMSY
You may need to do the following steps:
1. Create a system by right clicking on System entry and select Create new system.
Enter the System Name i.e., SID (3 chars)
Product = (select from the list you which to install)
Product Version= (select from the list you which to install)
Save the entries.
2. Select Menu Item "System--->Other Configuration" and enter the SID which you have created earlier.
Enter the Server Name(hostname)
Finally click on Generate "Installation/Upgrade Key Button "
The system generates a Key ,copy that Key and paste it in the SAPINST screen when it prompts for Solman Key.

Dear Experts,
Background:
We installed SAP Netweaver 7.3 EHP1 on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and applied SAP License on it.
So there was a specific SID, Hardware key and Installation No to our installation.
After few months our Server machine got crashed and we formatted it.
Problem:
Now we want to install SAP Netweaver 7.3 EHP1 again on same Server machine.
Here question is:
1. Will the Hardware Key be same if I install SAP Netweaver 7.3 EHP1 with the same SID as it was before ?
Note: We want to apply the same license that was there before the crash. But we can apply same license if and only if after installing with same SID as before, system generates the same Hardware Key as before Crash !!
Other Information:
Information that we got from SAP Note (94998 - Requesting license keys and deleting systems ) that :
" For the following data changes, you require a new license key:
Customer hardware key - database - installation number - system ID.

With OS reinstallation , the HW Key will change.
I suggest you apply for a new License with the new Hardware Key.
Was this a Test System??
You said after few Months , the system Crashed.
Have you taken a Backup (Windows System State) ??

Looking for the parameter/command line to supply the license key during the installation of Adobe Captive CS6 application.

Hello - We are performing customize installation for Captive CS6 with the help of AAMEE tool. We have couple of licenses which we wish to supply over the installation command line during deployment. However we did not find any parameter or the command line which will allow us to enter the license key during installation. Has any one succeed in finding the command line where we can pass the license key during installation of this application?

Can you post the last bit of your log file? 100 or so lines should be plenty to see what's going wrong.

How to change UI language during OS installation

it's not for the OSX system's language,
what I mean is the "macbook's" default language.
I've got a foriegn version of Macbook,
and during re-installation, all the interface is displayed in a different language, and there's nowhere to change it
yes, I can read this language so I know there's no option to change the language, but this computer will be passed to someone who will have to do another re-installation himself again, that's when he'll run into some problems
so is there a way to change the computer's default language? whenever a system is freshly installed, there also appears to have NO way to change the language either..... this is really frustrating..

How to include hardware configuration in the installer?

I have a VI developed with LabVIEW 2009 V9.0f2 using a USB-6009 and two of its analog inputs. The VI uses the DAQ Assistant to configure the USB-6009. I include the DAQmx Core Runtime 9.0.2 with the LabVIEW Runtime Engine 2009 in the installer build. I spent most of the past week trying to get the application to run after installation.
If I leave out the Hardware Configuration from MAX (no configData.nce file) and run the installer on another machine the application produces an Error-200378 Custom Scale Specified Does Not Exist when it runs (I searched the 200378 error code - no help).
If I include the Hardware Configuration from MAX to produce a configData.nce file, and select Perform the Import Silently to Merge the Import Data when the installer is built, I get this message during the install to another computer:

I am a novice LabVIEW user. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have DAQmx installed on the other machine? Are you unbundling it with your installer? If so, what Run-Time Level are you buiding into your installer? Can you post screenshots of the errors that you are getting?

How to obtain public key from a .crt file

I am new to cryptography Please correct me if my understanding regarding the digital signature is correct and i need help to get the public key.
I have a x.crt file which contains following fields
1) x
2)y
3) Certificate
this certificate contains following fields
certificate version
owner id
name
public key
signature (which is obtained by signing from start of x.crt till public key with private key)
now i need to verify whether the signature for that i need to get the public key & signature from this .crt file. Is it how i need to verify the certificate ?? please help me as I am a newbie in cryptography

How to solve Error DW030 during CS6 installation (Mavericks)?

This computer (running Mac OS 10.10.1) needs a way to install Acrobat from the CS6 DVD.
The CS6 installation went well except for Acrobat, where it gave error DW030. Unfortunately, following the instructions to reboot in Safe Mode deleted the detailed error message.
Running the installer again reports this:
We've encountered the following issues
Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.
Too bad! That page says:
The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued
Is there any way to recover from this? Is it safe to delete the whole thing and try again?

That excerpt was the best error in the log. Following is the entire section of the log that contains the error. How to config PKCS11.cfg during FAXs installation

I have read documentation the pkcs11.cfg should not be used if doesn't enable HSM.
I am not very familiar with java application server , so maybe it's a stupid question. I am wondering how to config it to avoid error ?

Hello Lewis,
It is always a good idea to run the Validator tool to verify a deployment.
The PKCS11.cfg file referenced below is an optional configuration file, that needs to be present/configured if-and-only-if HSM access needs to be enabled on the server.
The error you are seeing below is not something to be concerned about unless you plan to enable HSM access on the server. The stack trace is a DEBUG level log message. If you notice, the INFO log message suggests that this is not a critical error. When such an error is encountered with the PKCS11 config file, the server automatically defaults to not using HSM.

Wrong Windows product key during SP2 installation

Hi all, i have reinstalled the windows XP.
When i try to update the SP2 for the system, mircrosoft told me i am not using a right product key.
Then i follow the instructoin to download a KeyUpdate Tool and i put in the product key which under my notebook, it saids it is not the correct key for the windows that i am using.
At the compare product key site, it shows:
OS Version: Windows XP Professional
Manufacturer: TOSHIBA
Model: Satellite M60
Product Key: *****-*****-*****-*****-P6R2Y
It shows correctly the manufacture and the model.
However, i am using a Windows Xp Home Edition and the key from that CD is end with *****-*****-*****-*****-Q6JWG.
And the product key from my notebook is end up with *****-*****-*****-*****-GCFKM.
Then I download the Windows Product Key Update Tool and put in both the product key from the CD and notebook.
Both of them dosen't work. I want to know how can I update the Service Pack for my windows. Can anyone help? Thx!

Sometimes Microsoft rates the image keys as incorrect or invalid. Why? I don't know... it's Microsoft you know ;)
Fact is that the key on the CD cover can be used only to activate the installed Microsoft Works or OneNote software on the notebook. The key is not responsible for the Windows OS!
The key which could be used with Win OS is placed at the bottom of the unit.

Slipstreaming CU3 during first installation of SCCM 2012 R2

I am working on automating a SCCM 2012 R2 installation. During a scripted installation using Powershell I want to install CU3. What I want to know is, can I install CU3 with the same command line I use to install SCCM?
For example:
Setup.exe /Script C:\MyInstallScript.ini Patch=Z:\CU3.exe
or
Start-Process "Z:\SetUp.exe" -ArgumentList "/Script C:\MyInstallScript.ini /Patch= Z:\CU3.exe"
If this is not possible can I install CU3 in the same Powershel script I use to Install SCCM 2012 R2? For example:
Start-Process "Z:\SetUp.exe" -ArgumentList "/Script C:\MyInstallScript.ini" -Wait
Start-Process "Z:\CU3.exe" -ArgumentList "/Quiet" -Wait

Or do I have to run it in two different scripts? Because there is a need for a reboot or something.

License & Hardware-Key for CE1

Hi,
where can I see how long the license is valid of the current installation ( CE711SP1_SDN-Preview CE1 ).
And secodly I would like to know how to obtain Hardware-Key and getting installed.

I have got it.
Once the CE server is up and running, launch your browser and go to http://localhost:50100/nwa to start SAP NetWeaver Administrator. Log on with username Administrator and the master password you defined during the installation procedure.
Download and install a license key
The first step is to retrieve your systemu2019s hardware key from SAP NetWeaver Administrator. Go to Configuration Management Infrastructure > Licenses. Copy your u201CActive Hardware Keyu201D into the clipboard.
Go to http://www.sap.com/minisap fill out the form, and paste your hardware key from the clipboard. Submit the form.

EP6 SP2 hardware key / installation number

Hi all,
unfortunately the license of an EP6 SP2 has expired and I need to find out what are the hardware key and the installation number of this portal in order to renew the license.
As the admin pwd is lost and the sap* user/pwd combination do not work in order to log on to the portal and retrieve the system information via the system admin tab I am wondering if I can find both (hardware key and inst. no.) in the database or on the filesystem. If yes, where??
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated :)!

One way to enable SAP* is
1. Copy your current sapum.properties.bak to sapum.properties (/usr/sap/XXX/j2ee/cluster/ume)
[ This would only work if this is the original sapum.properties when you initially installed.]
If you copy over the properties from the direct editing
(i.e sapum.properties is in sync with the properties in
the database )tab then set the following properties in the sapum.properties is set.
ume.superadmin.activated=true
2. Restart the server.
Side Effect: You have to redo the UM configuration
Now you can logon as SAP* and get the system information.
Alternative 1:( This may or may not work. I don't have access to the environment or documentation to check out.)
Through Visual Administrator see server license information.
To Access the Admin documentation by the following URL;
http://your portal server:50000/index.html

Registration of Dreamweaver CS3 during silent installation

Hi All,
I need to do packaging of Dreamweaver CS3 and i have to deploy in 100 of machine...
and i need a silent installation.
so first i created two xml file by --record=1 option. install.xml and remove.xml
and i created application.xml.override and put it into driver folder as it is mentioned in the document...
Now installation and uninstallation is working fine...
//setup.exe --mode=silent deploymentFile=//install.xml
but peoblem is after deploying in 100 nachine it is asking for registaration...although i mentioned the serial key in the application.xml.override file
How to register this software during silent installation....
so that it will not ask for every machine....

The Install Number, System Number, Hardware Key all are displayed on the help/about form.
Is there any way to retrieve this information using SDK code?
Is there any other security type information that can be accessed such as number of licensed users?

We installed SAP B1 8.81(Evaluation version). Hardware key is exists in Service manager -> Licence Manger.
But it is not displaying in Client System 's Help -> About SAP Business one.
Please let me know how to retrieve hardware key.
