Hello from Paris !!!
I'd like to know how i can obtain this symbol ⌅ on a mac os Lion.
And may be some one has a solution to find by myself how i can discover any symbol i need.
The probleme is for exemple whith Logic 9 when i am looking for shortcut, the soft give it to me but not the way to do it.
To write it i had to make an export of the Logic's shortcuts in simple text.
So, for me the best should be an application on wich i could enter any symbol to ask it how to do it and to get the shortcut.

what do you mean by "obtain"? Since you typed it in your post, you seem to have already "obtained" it...?
If you want to know what it means: it is the (numeric pads') enter key. To get a keyboard and character viewer, you have to go System Preferences>Language & Text > Input Sources and enable both Keyboard & Character viewer and Show Input menu in Menu bar. You should now have a dropdown somewhere near your system clock with both the Keyboard Viewer and the Character palette.

An alternative method which I prefer is to use a normal lower thirds title and give it an outline of around 3 or 4 pixels in the Inspector.
I find that this is quick and easy to do (if you have made a custom one) and shows up well against almost any type of background.

Trouble understanding how to obtain this package

I am trying to get both of these packages, for some reason pacman just won't do it.
pacman -S automake, will return with automake 1.12.5 and not 1.9.
pacman -S toilet, will return a message saying the package can't be found.
I tried manually creating the packages but when i run makepkg there is no .xz file, I just get directories with source/binaries.
I would really prefer to just have pacman pull the packages as it normally does, is it possible with those packages? If so, how do I accomplish that?

So AUR isn't where pacman grabs packages, I see, I assumed it was. Thanks.
So my real issue is that I'm not getting .xz files from makepkg, actually my real issue is much more complex and I should just create a new thread for it since this thread was focused on trying to get pacman to do something it obviously can't. : )

First, uninstall "SuperTV" (whatever that is) according to the developer's instructions. It isn't working and it's filling the log with noise.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Post the messages logged before the boot, while the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract.

I can't answer your Thunderbird "configuration" questions, because I'm in the living room, using the crap Vista laptop, on which I plan to install Thunderbird, and then take Windoze Mail out in the street and drive over it a few times.. I'll get back to you one way or the other, and let you know if your instructions solved the problem, or not..
I don't understand why Thunderbird "out of the box", so to speak, simply doesn't forward HTML emails with embedded graphics, (like Outlook Excess, and Winblows Mail do).. without having to go through those steps. I personally HATE HTML email, but over the years, it's become more and more prevelant.. so it's a problem I must fix..
