How to only transfer contacts to my new iPhone from my old iPhone?

I'm getting a new iPhone 5s soon, and I'm insure how to transfer just the contacts and not all the setting. All I want on there from my old iPhone is the photos and contacts, photos are sorted but contacts aren't. If I use a backup from icloud it would just restore the setting, so how do I transfer all my old contacts easily to my new phone?

One option is to sync the contacts to iCloud. When you setup iCloud on your new phone they will automatically sync from iCloud to it. Instructions: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html

Unless you transfer the files from Setup Assistant, Migration Assistant creates a new user with the data.

Do you have your system backed up to Time Machine? If so, you can open your user Library and copy your Mail folder from Time Machine to your Desktop on your new machine; then copy THAT folder to your new machine's user Library.
To get to your user Library, open Finder and Go and press the Option key. Library will show up. Click on it to get into your user Library. Now go into Time Machine and you should see your user Library for Time Machine. Restore the Mail folder to your Desktop.

As for pictures, copy them from where there are on the old computer to the new computer... this has nothing to do with iTunes.
Alternatively, if both computers are Windows based, use the Windows Easy File Transfer Utility to move everything.

Are you synced with iTunes? Are your contacts in your Address Book on the computer? If so then sync the new phone with iTunes.
Otherwise, your cellular provider should be able to transfer everything from the old phone to the new one, assuming they support iPhones.

Luckily, using the "Find My iPhone" app, I was able to scare the thieves into bringing my iPhone back to the place they stole it from (Dave and Busters..on my BIRTHDAY OF ALL DAYS). No such thing has occurred. iPhones do not backup to one another.
It is not possible to backup a different iPhone from the one being updated.
If the iPhone was restored with a backup from a different device, restore it again from the correct backup.
