How to open a google map link in google maps app?

Hello,
I would like to post a link to a custom google map on my blog that could be open on Iphone with the google maps app. Someone would have an idea?
There maybe a solution with google map url scheme ("comgooglemaps:") but I don't see how to implement it

I think this is not possible as a link on the iPhone will default to the Apple Maps app and there is no way to change this.

How to open a Google popup window for an APEX 3.2.1 aplication ...

Hi folks,
I am implementing an APEX application that presents a report with a search field with a checkbox (search google ON/OFF).
If this checkbox is activated by the user and he clicks on GO button, the application will filter the APEX report. At the same time, it will open in a separate window with the google search tool, using the same parameters existents in the APEX report search field.
If the checkbox is not activated, only the filtered report is displayed, without the google window.
Is it possible to implement on APEX 3.2.1? How could i do it?
I'm trying to use the examples in the forum (ex: javascript function in the HTML page header, and activating function by a branch).
I'm working with APEX to version 3.2.1, with Oracle Database 10g XE.

Do you need of opening a google search within application page, then you do this.
Create a HTML region and specify the following as the region source

How do you get the maps app to speak turn by turn directions through a car audio system?

When using maps app in route in my car, I get a bluetooth icon at the bottom right of the screen. When I tap on it, there is a choice to either play sound either through the iPhone or through an audio device. If I select audio device it still plays through the iPhone, not the audio device.
The device is connected. My phone calls, music, and siri all work fine with it.

Type Sound.
Select sound.
Select speakers as default.
Click OK.

The question is in the topic title. I want to post on my wall (or on a friend wall) a YouTube link via my FB app in order to be seen directly through the standard YouTube player (as happens via PC, just to be clear). How to do that? Suggestions?

Welcome to the forums.
There is no supported way to embed a video to Facebook® using the Facebook for BlackBerry application. The only option you have is to post the link which will then take you to YouTube to see the video.

How to bring up native map app on iphone 5 through navigateToUrl

Hi All,
One of our existing ios Application (FB 4.6 with Air 3.1) using navigateToUrl("https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Current+Location&daddr=xxxx") to bring up the native map apps to show the route between user current location and destination address.
It works perfectly on iphone 4s below, However, this is not the case any more on iphone 5.
Is there any work around for this? Or what should be right Url to pass in navigateToUrl to get iphone 5 native map app working.

Thanks. Seems like this cropped up after the iOS 6 upgrade. Too bad Apple doesn't quality control their software before release. Something like alarm sounds is a pretty big oversight, kind of like maps. Your solution is right on the money even if it is a very roundabout way of getting to the desired result. A simple software fix would be to offer a sounds/vibrate option for ringtones, reminders, and alarms at the "settings" level. Other than oversight, I cant think of an ulterior motive for having it buried in ringtones. Thanks again for the fix!

How can i get the map app to show Spanish street and avenue names in that language ... not in English

i have ipad 4th gen and ipad original ... using both in Bogota Colombia thru the Colombian Apple Store. I have the map app in spanish on the ipad original but cannot change the ipad 4 map app to show the streets (calles), avenues (carreras / avenidas) in spanish ... such as Calle 100 .. or Avenida Suba, etc.
i have changed "always english" to off, changed the overall language to Spanish, rebooted, etc, etc ... but to no avail.

@Peizoandme ... that i have done and that results in changing the tag info language ... direction -> direccion but the map itself does not change ... shows the street name as Street 100 rather than Calle 100 ... what this all causes is when trying to establish routes from home to pin drop for example, message is cannot find. So, still stumped. Thanks for the reply though.

How do i delete google search app?

ipad with os7.1 has a google search app that I'd like to delete because it circumvents Qustodio parental controls.
When i do shake of apps, most of them, including google, don't have an x to delete them. Any ideas?

Thanks Meg. I installed the Qustodio parental control app and browser first, and followed instructions to turn Deleting Apps restriction on. As you advised, this stopped me from deleting the Google Search app.
I wonder if child can just reinstall Google to circumvent Qustodio. I don't want to restrict installing apps completely on ipad, but instead have 12+ restriction checked, which is more reasonable for my user.
I'll have to test it in this continuing quest for safety. Any insight appreciated!

II can't figure out to get a file downloaded from a web link into numbers, pages, etc.

I think the App that uses the files must have its own web access to be able to download. Perhaps another App that has web download capability can act as an intermediary using the "Open In" option.
One candidate might be GoodReader. It has some web download and file transfer capability, and does have the Open In option. However, it apparently must be able to read a file before you can get to the Open In option.
Another approach is to use iTunes on your computer. With the iPad connected to the computer, run iTunes and select the iPad under DEVICES. Click on Apps at the top of the window and scroll down to File Transfer. If an App appears there, data files can be synced to it by selecting it and dropping the files in a folder in the right hand window.

what is the bean type of image_path , if it is not a link bean then u should hide this and create a new field of link bean type through personalization , all other mappings like viewinstance and view attribuets should similar to the image_path fields .

How to open up your fav links when Safari opens?

I read somewhere that you can use the Automator to use Safari to open up the same webpages in different tabs everytime you open Safari. I have never used Automator before and I am not very good at writing scripts but it looked somewhat straight forward. Also will this work for any browser?

What you want to do is easy to do in Safari, although it does require one mouse click from you when Safari is launched.
Put all the bookmarks you want to open at once in a folder and put the folder on the Bookmarks Bar. On the Show All Bookmarks page, check Auto-Click next to the folder. Now when you open Safari, click on the folder and all the bookmarks will start loading, each in its own tab. If later you want just one of the bookmarks, command-click on the folder and you will get a drop-down menu of the bookmarks to choose from.

How to open image added to Pages doc in Preview app?

Hello,
Anyone know hot to open images added to Pages in preview app on Mac? When I click on any image with right mouse button I have in menu these options - "Open in Pixelmator and Capture selection from screen".
I tried to make my own Automator service "Open img in Preview" and it work well in Finder and other apps (I selected it in Automator option to work in all apps) but this service is not show in Pages > Services.
Anyone know how to fix it or how to make this service visible in Pages? I tried to found "Open in Pixelmator" workflow on my Mac to rewriting or save my "Open img in Preview" workflof into same folder but no chance. In (Library > Services etc)

I don't know how Pixelmator created their Service, but I suspect it involves programming that is beyond my abilities.
The following AppleScript will copy the selection in Pages and open a new preview window from the clipboard. It could be run as a Service with Automator. (It will also leave the image on the clipboard; if that is a problem, it could probably be modified, but I didn't get that sophisticated with it.)
