How to open a previous browsing session?

Is there a way to open a previous browsing session in Safari?
Also wondering if there is a good tutorial for the browser...
Thanks.

In the History menu there is an item called "Reopen All Windows From Last Session."
As for a tutorial, it works like Safari for OS X mostly, and like other web browsers. Do you have any specific questions about it?
(Safari 3.2 and 3.2.1 on Windows XP has a habit of freezing up on me though.)

  • Firefox won't open to previous browsing session even though that is selected as a preference

    I have windows xp. I recently updated to 4.0 and would like to get rid of it. Never had this problem with 3.6.

    Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Browsing History"

  • How to open a URL without session ID and reuse the current browser session?

    Hi All,
    I have a question about HTMLDB 2.0
    How to open a URL without session ID and reuse the current browser session?
    That was the behaviour in HTMLDB 1.6 ...
    My usecase for this is the following:
    We have written an issue tracking application, which sends e-mail to the interested users, when something happens.
    In these email we've put a link to some page, with some parameters in the URL.
    The idea is for the user to be easy to click on the hyperlink and to see the details of the ticket.
    When the user clicks on such a link he is directed to a login screen (page 101) and he enters his Username and password, and is then forwarded to the details for the ticket.
    Then he receives another email (e.g. for another ticked). He clicks on the link and :
    a) in HTMLDB 1.6 he goes to the details as he didn't close his browser and session is remembered
    b) in HTMLDB 2.0 he is prompted to enter username, password with the username populated
    Please tell me how can I achieve the same behaviour in HTMLDB2.0 as it was in HTMLDB 1.6.
    I understand this change is somehow security related, althogh I don't understand how. If you can explain this either I would be very happy?

  • CL_GUI_HTML_VIEWER need to open a different Browser session if one exists

    Hi All,
    I'm using the class  cl_gui_html_viewer for displaying a PDF in My program. However, if an Internet Explorer Session is already open, the HTLM_VIEWER created in my program is behaving more like a child of the already open browser (In other words, it works like pressing CTRL+N on the original window). But my requirement is to open a new Browser session altogether (Like Opening up another Internet Explorer Session).
    The reason i need to have this is because the PDF i display is based on an authenticated login. If a person is already logged in through the Stand alone IE browser, my program should not allow the same user to view it in the browser but authenticate again by prompting for a login. This is achieved by using different Browser sessions (not by CTRL+N).
    Please let me know if you have any thoughts on achieving this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jr.

    where is this PDf coming from, is it from external source thru a url? can you pass uid/pwd to this PDF via url,
    if yes, pass a wrong uid/pwd thru the url , every time you load the pdf, in the html viewer control, this would always prompt for authntication box. other option is to delete the sso2 cookie,  you need to find a method to delete the cookie in your local machine created by calling this pdf from standalone browser.

  • Problem when OPEN a new browser session

    Hi,
    I like to open a new browser in my program when user click on the URL.
    I did this:
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler " + URL);
    However, it just didn't open the new browser and it used an existing open browser to launch the URL. I just don't want to lose that session.
    How could I force to open a brand new window?
    Thanks a lot for your help.

    I have my browser configured so that requests like that open up in a tab in the existing open browser. I did that because I want it that way. And if I am using your program, I still want it that way and that's all there is to it. It's my computer and my browser and you don't get to override that.
    However, if you don't like how it's working on your computer then go ahead and change your browser's setup.

  • I want FF to open my last browsing session, but not open tabs unless I choose to

    I am re-setting my settings after a FF 'refresh' . I was able to open FF browser & Session Manager would prompt me to open last session, it would open, but not actually 'open' any sites, until I physically clicked on a site (in a tab)...how to I get this option again, please ??
    Step by step instructions, please I am a novice, I just cannot remember the name of this option, all I know is that it fits my needs perfectly, and kudos for the person who invented it, it makes my browsing life sooo much easier....I remember when the option first became available, I jumped on it & life has been fantastic ever since. I did a little browsing today whilst waiting for my original question to be answered, & really missed it....
    I am running WIN XP PRO SP 3.0 32 bit on a desktop computer.
    Thanks & kind regards
    Sylvia

    Thanks so much Mark, I did unintentionally discover this after a lot of hours adding back all the things I lost when I did a 'refresh' of FF...sigh
    I am very grateful for your answer, though, as the Question is now in the archives, and that has to be a good thing, as I am not the only novice out there...lol...

  • How to open a new browser window from a JSP page?

    Hi,
    I am picking up records from the database and displaying each record in a seperate text area field using the JSP code. I should be able to display the content ( available in the text area) in a seperate window if the user clicks on one icon.

  • How to open graph in browser

    i am generating graphs in my application using swing and i want to export it to other software.i want to save it in paint Brush,photoshop .
    how can i open it in browser as web document.
    plz guide me...

    Use the Runtime getRuntime();
    Runtime runtime = Runtime.getRuntime();
    This will allow you access to the exec() methods. These will allow you
    to call operating system commands.
    runtime.exec("\"C:\\Program Files\\Internet Explorer\\IEXPLORE.EXE\" " + url);
    Where the url is a valid file url. So you application must write to a
    file and then generate a url to that file. You should check where the
    IEXPLORE.EXE is on you 'puter

  • Is there a way I could access all previous browsing sessions? Are they stored in the C: drive somewhere?

    Does Firefox saved all my browsing sessions so that I could access them anytime? I heard about session cookies, but I don't know whether that helps as there are no dates on them, is there? Or are the browsing sessions stored somewhere on my computer?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Unfortunately, iCloud does not offer equivalents to Mobile Me’s iDisk, Gallery or Web Hosting services. You will need to find a third party solution to replace these services. You might consider DropBox, SugarSync, MediaFire or any other service that offers online storage. (not all these alternatives offer all the services previously provided by iDisk)

  • How to open a file browser in CRM Web UI without THTMLB tag "fileUpload"

    Hello,
    can someone help me solving this question:
    How can I open a file browser in CRM Web UI without using the THTMLB tag "fileUpload"?
    The THTMLB tag has the disadvantage that after having uploaded the file the file name disappears.
    Thanks a lot.
    Best regards,
    Michael.

    Hello, Michael.
    I've got what you mean now. Seems that this is a standard behaviour of this tag. And it has a background which I can only guess - you press Upload, upload is done, field is emptied shown that it is ready to upload next file.
    I suppose you should handle such situation in your onUpload method. And set some indicator (text field below the fileupload tag, icon somewhere near, disabling fileUpload's bttons etc.) on the screen accordingly.
    For instance, your button "Start import" at the bottom of the window already knows about it (it switches from disabled to enabled when you press "Upload").

  • How to open tcodes in browser

    Hi,
    I installed Nw2004S and i am new to the Netweaver JAVA Stack, i installed JAVA Stack and now the server is Up and running.
    Now i need to create some users in the machine using Su01 and how to open it in the browser.
    http://hostname:50000 ?
    Can any one help me
    regards,
    surya

    Hi surya,
    As far i could understand from ur post,You have installed only the Java stack,right?
    Java stack doesn't have T-codes to create users.
    You got to teh index page,as you said,
    <b>http://localhost:port or http://IPadress:port.</b>
    GO to <b>User Management</b> link.
    By default <b>administrator user</b> will be created during installation,and password will be the <b>master password</b>,whatever you would have given during insatllation.
    when user credentials are asked for,when you click User managemnet,
    give user: <b>administrator and</b> password:master password of installation.
    Then you will go the UME page.
    Right at the top left corner,you get a <b>create</b> option.
    you can create user,roles and groups.
    You can assign roles,groups to users and viceversa.
    reward points if useful............

  • Why can't I restore my previous browser session, the selection box is greyed out so it cant be selected

    when I rebooted my Microsoft surface 2 tablet & then tried to restore my last browser session, nothing happened, and I cant see my recent history. not sure if there is any other info I can give you, and i would try!

    If you still have it open you can navigate to "about:sessionrestore" and the list of tabs from the last session in the sessionrestore.backup file should be there.
    If it is not there, and after try [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]].
    I noticed Waterfox version 26, Waterfox is an unofficial 3rd party version of Firefox.

  • How to open a second browser window

    I want to click on a button and have it open a second browser window. How?

    Sorry. I reached help documents from within Flash.
    The part about get(URL) starts by saying, "this example loads an image into a movie clip".
    But I don't have any interest in doing that.
    It goes on:
    When the image is clicked, a new URL is loaded in a new browser window.
    var listenerObject:Object = new Object();
    listenerObject.onLoadInit = function(target_mc:MovieClip) {
    target_mc.onRelease = function() {
    getURL("http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/flashpro/", "_blank");
    var logo:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader();
    logo.addListener(listenerObject);
    logo.loadClip("http://www.helpexamples.com/flash/images/image1.jpg",
    this.createEmptyMovieClip("adobe_mc", this.getNextHighestDepth()));
    How do i edit this script to just open a new window and display its html or swf?

  • How to open a separate browser window from Captivate 2.0

    Hello Captivators,
    Thanks for a very responsive forum. I participate in an Adobe
    Flash forum as well and never get a response to any questions.
    I would like to know if I can open a new browser window in
    from a Captivate presentation, without killing the Captivate
    session.
    Thanks,
    eholz1

    You can, but without creating a custom widget in Flash, the
    user must click to make it happen.
    The easiest way is to add a button to your slide and in the
    button properties:
    On success: Open URL or file
    URL: <enter the URL to open>
    URL Window (down arrow button to the right of the URL field):
    New
    If you don't want the slide to remain paused after the user
    clicks, deselect the Continue playing project option at the bottom
    of the URL Window dropdown.
