How to open an adobe interactive document in mobile device such as iPad?

Hi experts,
I have tried create PDF by adobe but this does not seem to work.
I want to be able to fill in form fields in an interactive PDF document created in acrobat pro and save the data on the form. My interactive PDF documents don't open on my iPad.
What can I do?

I see that v10.4.4 of the Adobe Reader iOS app supports PDF form fields. This link goes to an interactive form that I can complete using Adobe Reader on my iPad:
help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Samples/interactiveform_enabled.pdf
I have created a number of PDF forms in LiveCycle Designer v8.2.1, and none of them work on the iPad like this sample form does. In fact, the form fields in the PDFs I create don't appear at all when viewed on the iPad. What am I doing wrong?

  • Adobe Interactive Forms on Mobile Devices

    Dear colleaguesu2019,
We are planning to adopt Adobe Interactive Forms (AIF) to our business scenarios but there is prerequisite that AIF must be able to run on mobile devices such as Blackberry/Iphone.
As far as I know current technology of Blackberry/Iphone has limited support to pdf files. I tried to run an AIF on Blackberry but the form did not respond.
Is there any way to run AIF on Blackberry/Iphone or any other third party tool that is available to do that?
    Regards
    Melih

    Hi Andres,
we would like to use the iPad to fill out an interactive form. But obviously there is no app you could use for that. Once I searched the net for this issue I found a thread where a developer stated to create a corresponding app for this need. The mentioned sap note is as of 2006. In the meantime there should be some progress in this matter since customers keep on asking for a solution.
Could anyone from SAP make a suggestion here?
    Cheers,
    Alexander

I am unable to open an adobe AI document.  What can I do?

    Thanks.
    Here's what we're up against.
Windows 8.1 - Flash Player for IE is embedded ny Microsoft. It can't be downloaded, upgraded or replaced from here.
    That's half the battle.
IE11 - Microsoft really did a numnber on it. Browsers use "User-Agent Strings" for websites to identify the browser and its engine and the websites provide the proper content based on the ID from the Strings. The "geniuses" (sarcasm intended) in redmond, WA decided it'd be a really good idea to change IE11's User-Agent Strings to make websites think it was something else. Some sites ID it as a Gecko browser (Firefox), and some as a Webkit browser (Chrome or Safari). Now, here's where the real genius shows through. With out a Gecko or Webkit browser engine (IE has a Trident engine)... The content won't play properly if it even plays at all. And most of the time it doesn't at all. What happens is IE becomes an "unidentified" browser. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player.
So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon. In fact, since they came up with this idiocy, I seriously doubt they'll even acknowledge what a major problem it is.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using a different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • Adobe Interactive Form on BlackBerry device

    Hi,
I am trying to open an adobe interactive form (generated by SAP and Adobe LifeCycle Designer) on my BlackBerry device.
Instead of the document's content I get the following message:
When opening a PDF document containing an XFA form on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone the following error is displayed:
This document is an XFA form. XFA forms cannot be filled using the Mobile Adobe Reader.
Is there any possibility to open and maintain the document anyway or what is adobe's strategy regarding this scenario?
Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Thomas

They haven't really announced it, because there is no product to announce. Rather the opposite.
There are no conversion tools, so far as I know.
XFA forms are a non-starter if you want portability.
AcroForms are a nightmare in themselves, because the functionality is limited in Adobe Reader and varies between absent and weird in other products. No idea about Blackberry support.
You will not find a simple recommendation. Rather, you need to use Acroforms and carefully test everything (EVERYTHING: no assumptions) on every platform you intend to support.
Yes, rather unsatisfactory, but until Adobe realise that the future is platform equivalence or irrelevance, this is where we are.

  • InDesign document as an interactive PDF for mobile devices?

How can I export an InDesign document as an interactive PDF for mobile devices?

Avoid SWF at all cost and export using Adobe PDF (interactive).
The experience will depend on the PDF reader that the user has installed.

  • HT1296 how do I transfer a PDF document from my laptop to my Ipad?

    Hello
how do I transfer a PDF document from my laptop to my Ipad?

To copy PDFs to the iPad you first need an app on the iPad that supports PDFs - the iPad doesn't have a file system like a 'normal' computer, everything has to be associated with an app. As to how you then get the PDF to your chosen app will depend upon what the app that you have/get supports - different apps will have different ways of copying their content to/from a computer e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc.
For PDFs there are free apps such as Apple's iBooks app (syncing PDFs to iBooks) and also Adobe Reader - and paid-for apps such as GoodReader.

  • Adobe flash player on mobile devices

im not sure my doubt is out of league, but i hope to find an answer. that'swhy im posting such a question here.
i am developing a website in which an user uploads a swf file and download it as apk(android format). i am using adobe flash player to display the swf on webview of devices. it seems to be working on samsung s4 devices in india but it is not working on samsung s4(with same kernel version and os verion. and it is a locked device) in US. always the flashplayer opens and when the user tries to interact with the swf game, it crashes. so can anyone help me out to find the issue?

    hey maria,
appreciate your explanation. you were right, the flashplayer is inbuilt in that apk along with the swf file. so when ever some one runs the apk, it installs both apk and adobe flash player on mobile device just like any app. it seems to be working in almost all devices except s3 ans s4 in US. using my web application any user can convert a swf to apk and this apk runs on a android device and works fine. but problem comes with s3 and s4 only(as i mentioned the devices from US only. s3 and s4 in India are working fine). that is where i stuck.

  • How to create an online fillable form for mobile devices, tablets and smartphones.

How can I create "online fillable forms" for Mobile devices, tablets and smarphones?
I already created an "online fillable form" with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for PCs and MACs but this form can not be filled using mobile devices, it can only be downloaded.
    Thanks.

    Hi George,
I gather from your reply that I won't be able to create "online fillable forms" for Mobile devices with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. Correct?
If Adobe does not have another software similar to Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, would you please suggest me any other means of creating "online fillable forms" for Mobile devices?
Would you think that an HTML developed form would be a fair substitute for the PDF fillable forms that I use for PCs and MACs?
    Thanks,
    Alvaro

  • How do I get sync data from my mobile device to the new hard drive in my computer?

My hard drive crashed and I need to get my synced data back and the instructions for doing so aren't adequately explaining how to do so.
I have my mobile device in my hand, which has my Firefox data on it. I can't find the sync key. It is telling me to go to "sync options" on my mobile device, but that isn't available on my mobile device.
I just want to have my bookmarks. My hard drive crashed and I am having enough problems without not being able to sync my firefox data to the new hard drive.

    Hi!
You can recover yous Sync Key from your phone with this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/aboutsynckey/
Install it in your phone so it can display your Sync Key (also know as recovery key).
Once you do that, follow this steps: [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How%20to%20sync%20Firefox%20settings%20between%20computers#w_what-if-im-not-near-my-first-computer Set up Sync in your Computer with the Sync Key]

  • Interactive Maps on mobile devices

We have a client who has needs a plotted map which has to be interactive (data points with drill down).
The client needs this functionality on desktop as well as mobile devices (iphone, ipad, android, blackberry)
I have done a poc for the desktop with dvt:geographic map and saw that it caters for the interactivity, but this isn't available on ADF mobile (which is our preferred approach for mobile interface)
Currently I am investigating options to bring map interactivity on the mobile devices without having to go down the route of native mobile applications.
I was thinking that calling the Mapviewer API directly might resolve our issue. Is this a feasible approach? Looking at my requirement, could you suggest a good path to solution?
    thanks in advance,
    Jaseer

    Jaseer,
    Check again the ADF Mobile.
The new version released this week, supports DVT Geographic Map Component.
    Luis.
