Hi Guys
We have a CRM 5.0 Implementation and here is what we are using in Portal
Title: Leads -Transaction
Technical Name: com.sap.pct.crm.lea.leads
Contents: This iView originates from the business package for CRM 5.0 and contains functionality CRMD_BUS2000108 supported by BSP Application crm_bsp_frame
Title: Opportunities-Transaction
Technical Name: com.sap.pct.crm.opp.opportunities_s
Contents: This iView originates from the business package for CRM 5.0 and contains functionality CRMD_BUS2000111 supported by BSP Application crm_bsp_frame
My question is - How to open MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint documents attached to opportunity transaction in Portal? Can we use the Project share path in URL?

Can you be little specific on what kind of documents are these?
1. You can check if there are ways to integrate the same with KM...am not sure about CRM but yes, it can be done on BIW.
2. If these are just config documents and not that user creates, then you may save these docs into a KM folder and create a KM Navigation link assigning to users.

How to provide document attachment (DMS) functionality in MIGO transaction

Dear All,
How can I provide the document attachment functionality (Document will be stored in content DMS server)
in MIGO Transaction.
The same functionality provided by SAP in ME21n, ME22n Transactions.
In ME21n user can upload any type of document related to line item wise and that document can we view/ modify from ME22n as well as from DMS side ( T.code - CV02n).
can anybody help me that how can i provide same functionality in MIGO transaction.

How to view the content of Documents attached in Transaction FB03.

Hi Gurus,
I want to view / download the content of an attachment, attached in transaction FB03.
I am not able to view them directly due to some application error.
I need to check whether a document which is in the attachment list is having any data or not.
If there is any FM to do this, please let me know.

I do not know the answer to that. But you can use ssltap (More info in [http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/tools/ssltap.html|http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/tools/ssltap.html]) to see the exact request and response being sent to and from the server.

How to open Mail attachment in different spaces

With Snow Leopard Mail attachment stopped to open in the space to witch I assigned the related application, but keep on opening in the Mail space.
I have Mail assigned to space #1 and, for example, iWork assigned to space #3. With Leopard iWork attachments opened correctly in space #3, whereas with its successor they open in space #1.
I didn't find any option to set this right.
Besides spaces has not worked right since Mac OS X 10.6.0. It happens that even when I open documents from the Finder they open in the wrong space.
Is there any way to make it work fine, as it did with Mac OS 10.5?

target="_blank" did not work.
The attachment does not open directly. In other words, i do not use href.
The link is having an onclick event, which in turns calls the struts Action class and the response is returned as an attachment.
<a href="#" onclick="javascript:openAttachment(this.value)" value="123">And the value is unique id with which I can find to file to be downloaded.
Again the file I cannot access directly. I get it as byte array, which I put it in to my response.

How to open documents programatically within current Workspace session

I'm using Hyperion 9.3.1 across the board and I've built both Interactive Reporting and Web Analysis documents. Within those documents I have links/controls to open other Interactive Reporting documents.
From Interactive Reporting, I have two options, create a Hyperlink shape, or a Command button control and use OpenURL. Both create new sessions of Workspace when they open the documents.
From Web Analysis, you can not use Open Document to open Interactive Reporting (only works for other Web Analysis documents), so I have to use the service that opens a link, which again creates a new session in Workspace.
I would like to have my reports all open within the same Workspace session and have the nice tabs in the bottom of Workspace appear that shows all the open documents (which is the default behavior when you double click documents in Workspace explorer).
Any ideas?

For Interactive Reporting, I found information on how to do this. Page 22 in ir_developer-vol1.pdf. Here's a snippet of the documentation:
* New Window—A pop-up window is created every time the hyperlink is clicked. This option,
which is the default, maps to the OpenURL OM method "_blank" target.
* Current Window—If the execution application is Interactive Reporting Web Client or
Workspace, the content replaces the Workspace content area (for example, excluding the
surrounding browse application panes). In Interactive Reporting Studio, a pop-up window
is displayed.
* Top Window—If the execution application is Interactive Reporting Web Client or
Workspace, the content replaces the top HTML window. This option maps to the OpenURL
OM methods "_top" target.
& Named Window—A named pop-up window is created. If a named window is currently
displayed, the URL replaces the content of the current window. When this option is selected,
the user can enter the new window name in the Target window text box that is displayed
below the drop-down list. This option maps to the user-specified, target-name option of the
OpenURL method.
I'm pretty sure I tried all of these possible targets in the Hyperlink properties window, but perhaps I didn't. Oh well...I'll see if it works.

How to open docx attachment directly if it attached in editing forward mail

There is a mail with attachment docx file, I click forward to edit, at this moment, I want to open the attachment to check a few, but when I double-click the attachment, it always open a tmp file and ask me which application will be use. how can I disable the tmp file, just use what file is to open it?

You can not edit an attachment. The changes you make will be lost.

Where is the pdf you are trying to open? Is it on the server or the client? If the file is stored on the server then you can access it using WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT assuming it is stored in a place that has a virtual mapping. For example:
WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT ('http://server/someLocation/file.pdf','_blank');If the file is on the client then you need to configure your application to use WebUtil. Then you can do what Francois suggested.

How to increase the attachment size of a portal

Hi,
We have a portal developed using JSP.
We have an option for attaching files. Now the maximum limit is only 5 MB. So we thought of using FTP so that we can increase the attachment limit. But we are not able to attach files more than 1 MB.
Could you please help us in resolving this. Any idea how to increase the attachment size limit?

How to open my saved report view in portal?

Hi experts,
When I opened a BI report on portal, I adjusted the the drilldown and saved a view using the toolbar on the top. but I can't find how to open the view, I can't find it anywhere.

Saved Views cannot be accessed from Portal directly ... you would have to do a work around to achieve the same..
