Open the file: When a download has finished, you can click on the entry to open the file.Open Containing Folder : Once a file has finished downloading, the icon to the right of the file entry becomes a folder. Click the folder icon to open that file's containing folder. To set the folder where your downloads go, see Startup, home page and download settings.

Just picked up a Nokia lumia 822 and was wondering how to open downloaded files? Through IE it appears i can only stream a media file and now download it. Through UC Browser it says its downloaded but seems to only let me stream it. I want to download a song and add it to my music library, is that even possible? The easiest way to browse your phone is to connect it to a pc with a usb cable. The phone then becomes like a usb drive and you can then drag and drop your media files as required.

How do I download/open it on my computer?I assume that you are referring to a JavaScript file.
Java and JavaScript are different languages.

If the server sends the file as text/plain then Firefox will open the file in a tab if you left click and not offer to download/save the file.
In that case you need to save the file via the right-click context menu or the File menu.
You will have to right-click the link and use "Save Link As" to save such a file directly instead of left-clicking the link. -
How to open downloadable books using Overdrive?

The public library offers a great service in downloadable books. They are readable using Overdrive (extension .odm)
However, I cannot open them on my Mac. Here is what Apple has to say when I try to open my book:
Is there something I am missing? Or another way to do this? Surely Apple isn't blocking library books!I found this info to be very clear and helpful:

Had to download again and this time did not have any problems in opening it.
I do feel frustrated with the uninspiring gray background of this software
and a few other things and would like to switch to some other software that
is more for DESIGNING than for fixing and editing photos.
For instance, which software would have the ability to create greeting
cards of my own, not just by attaching
photos to previously designed cards?

I have downloaded the 30 day free trial using Adobe Download Assistant but I do not know how to open it and start using it.
This was so annoying!! It took me a good couple of hours but i figured it out, you need to do the following: Go to the folder where you saved the download (in my case i saved it in My Downloads) -> click on 'Adobe Photoshop Elements 12' -> click on 'PSE 12' -> click on 'Setup' (select the icon which is a box with a shield) -> follow instructions and....voila! You will need to restart when it suggests so save anything else first, then when it reboots you should see the icon on your desktop....hpe this helps!

I am trying to download photoshop presets from online but can't seem to figure out how to open them in photoshop. They download sucessfuly and then goes to my download folder on my computer, from there I double click on the file and photoshop opens and then nothing happens, any ideas? I am using a PC

I downloaded the latest version of Mozilla Firefox yesterday, full and complete, and I am actually using it right now. The only problem I have had is upon clicking any YouTube video, the box pops up saying "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (rtsp) isn't associated with any program." But there are no directions or suggestions on how to address this problem. Ive looked at YouTube add-ons and none of them really seem related. Upon the finish of the new Mozilla, I also was prompted to upgrade the flash player, and did so without any trouble. I am only guessing this is an extension/plug-in problem. I really am quite confused!
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

What version of Photoshop are you running? You will need at CS5, CS6, CC or CC2014. Each version needs a different ACR-plug-in to open files from that camera.
If you are on CS4 or earlier, you'll need to upgrade—or, in the alternative; look for, download, instal, launch and run the free, stand-alone DNG Converter 8.6 on each file of raw NEF files to convert them to raw DNGs first so you can open them in your version of Photoshop and ACR plug-in higher than 2.4. -
I purchased a song to download from Walmart.com and received the error message when I tried to download the song; "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (wmms) isn't associated with any program." I've never had a problem before. I paid for this download & I can't even access it.
Does the Walmart site offer a plugin or program (Walmart MP3 Music Downloads) to handle that protocol?<br />

That is because whoever programmed the web site used Internet Explorer extentions. These will only run in Internet Explorer. So, use a computer with Windows to use that web site.
