How to open image file?

I used advanced settings "print to file" to copy one slide from a Powerpoint presentation and sent it to My Pictures to use in another document.  The icon looks like a blank sheet of paper with a corner folded forward.  When I try to open it, I get a message that I can't open that type of file, what the heck???  If I click on the option to be able to open it, it goes to File.org which I understand is a scam.  Does anyone know if there is a legitimate download that I can use to open it?
Thank You!

'Print to file' captures what the printer driver would have sent to the target printer.
The specifications of the OfficeJet Pro 8620 indicate that the supported Page Description Languages are HP PCL 3 GUI, HP PCL 3 Enhanced.
These are both proprietary raster-based printer languages.
There are some applications (e.g. those from SwiftView, Lincoln, PageTech) which can probbaly be used to view the content of your captured 'print to file' file.
But (as 8lives points out) to use a copy of the image of the slide within a different application than the original (PowerPoint), you need to save the image in a format (e.g. .png or .jpg) which your target application can understand and import.

  • How I can open Image File

    I guess it is simple but I do not know how I can in this class open Image file. This code should go instead of the line:
    window.setSize(450,300);
    Please, help me.
    Pan.
    class ItemHandler implements ActionListener {
              public void actionPerformed( ActionEvent e )
                   for ( int i = 0; i < techItems.length;i++ );
                   if (techItems[ i ].isSelected() ){
                   window.setSize(450,300);
                   break;
                   repaint();
         }

    The easiest way is to use a JLabel where you have an image. Something like this:
    JLabel lbl = new JLabel(new ImageIcon("icon.gif"));
    JPanel p = new JPanel();
    p.add(lbl);
    Klint

  • How to open CR2 files in photoshop elements 10

    Who knows how to open CR2-files from a Canon Powershot S100 in Photoshop Elements 10?

    Hi,
    The version of Camera Raw that you reported should support the S100 CR2 images.
    If you load the editor, go to the File menu and select Open, then point to the file, are you saying that it displays the error message?
    Have you tried opening the file with Canon's Zoombrowser?
    Which operating system are you running on?

  • How to open NRW-files in Lightroom 4?I

    just bought Nikon's Coolpix P7800. It says you can shoot in Raw. Now I want to open these files in LR, just like I'm used to with my SLR's. But Nikon uses the NRW-format for Raw and LR says it doesn't recognise the files. Does someone know if there's a way to convert and work with these files in LR 4?

    Thanks Jim for your response,
    I will upgrade to 5.3

  • How to open .dll files?

    I'm not sure I have the correct forum, but I thought I'd try here.
    I have .dll files I want to look at. I am unable to open them in any type of readable format. When I double click on them they open in Text Edit and jumbled up. I tried to open them in Preview and that didn't work either.
    Can someone guide me on how to open these files? OR if this is the wrong board, let me know and I'll post some place else.
    Thanks,
    Ginger

    No. A Windows DLL file is a library of machine code meant to be loaded by a piece of software. It's unreadable by humans. An experienced developer may be able to decompile the library into x86 assembly language.
    DICOM is an image format used for storing medical image data (such as MRIs, CAT scans, etc.). Many packages that work with DICOM packages have an "export to CD" function that will burn a CD with a directory of DICOM images, optionally with a copy of a program for displaying the images. It sounds like you have one of those CDs that's been burned with a copy of a Windows DICOM viewer. You won't be able to use that without a copy of Windows installed.
    However, that doesn't mean that you can't view the DICOM images. The most widely used DICOM viewer is probably [OsiriX|http://www.osirix-viewer.com>, which is free to download and use. Simple install, and use the import function to load a whole directory of DICOM images at once.

  • CS3 Extended having problems opening image files.

    I had a CS3 Master Collection from The Art Institute forced us to buy that I had never opened because Photoshop 7 worked fine & I didn't need all the other crap that came with CS3 in the Master Collection. So I had been using Photoshop 7 for years & years, but when I got a new computer, Photoshop 7 didn't work anymore. If you can't tell me what's wrong with CS3, maybe you can tell me how to get my old 7 working on 64 bit windows?
    Getting this stuff out of the way:
    *Brand new computer, Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit.
    *Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection, installed about 3 months ago.
    *CS3 Extended was working just fine for 1 or 2 months with no problems.
    *Problem: CS3 stops responding or hangs exsessively when opening image files.
    *Already tried alt/ctrl/shift reset.
    *Already deleted all the printers.
    *Already tried the tilde in front of the TWAIN.
    *This Master Suite takes like 3 hours to install, so reinstalling is something I'd rather avoid.
    *Yes, it's updated.
    *Yes, the licence was renewed.

    Terabyte drive. 80% free space.
    Yeah, I reinstalled. Can't believe I had to go through 4 discs to reinstall one program for the suite.
    Reinstalling windows is overkill when" error check," & "SFC /scannow," & "boot repair" are sufficient.
    Found out that it WILL work if you don't have a browser window open, but I like to listen to stuff on the net when using photoshop. I dunno why the browser makes photoshop refuse to open or create new images, but it would be helpful to know.
    Also, despite not having a printer, the error log seems to indicate that it's part of the problem.
    Oh, I forgot to mention that I did defrag after reinstalling. I know someone will bring it up if I don't.

    Dear Sir/Madame,

    One way of doing this is to write a PL/SQL procedure that uses UTL_FILE to read the file and DBMS_OUTPUT to display the contents to the users.

  • How to open aspx. files in OS 10.8?

    is this the right place to ask how to open aspx. files in OS 10.8.2?

    Unfortunately aspx is a generic extender - it is a report generated by a server running Windows .net - it isn't an extender that actually tells what kind of file it is or what kind of data it holds. That's something you either have to know before hand so you can force the proper program to open it (or change the aspx extender to its real extender) or you have to find out what the file is.
    At work our system's report generator gives everything an aspx extender. When I generate a report I decide whether it should be a PDF, Excel file, etc. After downloading the file I change its extender appropriately.

    Thanks

    if you have rootsh installed, open up xterm and run these commands
    root
    apt-get install unzip-fm
    apt-get install unrar-fm
    as in the link from aspergerguy, you need the extra catalogs installed.
    once you have them installed you just need to click on the zipped file then it will unzip it to a folder of the same name
