How to open iPad in iPhoto

I have the ipad 3, it opens in itunes an says 'it no longer syncs with it, how do I get may ipad to open in iphoto ?

Thanks for being there. I have pixs in pad and have plugged in and downloaded from pad to iPhoto. my pad 3 when plugged in opens in itunes,  I click on it. the window with summary, info, apps.etc across the top like other pods I've have. ,I click photos, Sync Photos from (choice) only now when I choose I can only import albums and not individual pix from it. so as I'm writting this and seeing whats avalible, when I choose Sync Photos from iPhoto I see the list of albums an events, so maybe I have to set up specific albums to export and import to get what I want ?  although I have an iPod, 3 shuffles, 2 touches, a macbook pro, mac mini, the Pad is new to me. I want to move pixs an vids between mac an pad,

  • How to open a copied iPhoto library

I recently got a new 2014 MacBook Pro. My old MacBook Pro is a 2009.
I had a 1TB hard drive in my old MacBook Pro and decided to put that into an external drive to keep with me to use with my new computer.
I didn't want to take out or mess with the solid state drive in my new MBP.
    My question is:
My iPhoto library from my old MBP is on my external hard drive and is about 350GB I think... Which is huge. And I don't know how to open it on my new MacBook Pro. The library in its entirety is too large to open on my new computer which only has 120GB SSD.
My old MBP has a 160GB hard drive in it, which is the one it originally came with, so I can't open it on that computer either.
I don't know how to be able to access my iPhoto library now that it is too large to be opened on either computer and it's on my external hard drive. I also don't know if there's a way to be able to view the photos in your library without physically opening it through iPhoto.
    Any help is much appreciated!

Did you try to right click on the iPhoto library on your external drive and click on "show content"? After that you should be able to find the folder containing the photos you want and copy them to your new MacBookPro.

  • How to open iPad photos on a PC.

I use an iPad and a PC desktop.  I use Kodak Easyshare software on my PC.  However, my PC cannot open iTHMB photos from my iPad. How can I open them to see them, sort them, and edit them in Kodak Easyshare?

To import photos or video from your device to Windows:
Connect your iOS device to the computer. If the AutoPlay window appears, click "Import Pictures and Videos using Windows", then skip to step 4. If the "Import Pictures and Video" dialog appears, skip to step 4.
Note: If the AutoPlay dialog box does not automatically open, you may need to enable the behavior.
    Choose Start > Computer.
Right-click the logo for your device and click Import pictures and videos.
    Click the Import Settings link.
In the resulting window, you can change the folder to which your Camera Roll's photos will be imported by clicking the Browse button next to the "Import to" field. By default, these will be imported to the My Pictures folder.
Enable the option, "Always erase from device after copying".
Note: Deleting photos after importing helps to reduce Camera Roll size, and it improves backup and restore times. You may choose Keep Photos if you wish to import the photos to additional computers. If you do not want Windows to delete pictures from your camera on subsequent imports, remember to come back here and disable this option when you're finished.
After setting your import options, click OK to dismiss the window.
Choose a tag if desired and click Import. This screen appears only while the import process is active:
Once the import is complete, Windows Photo Gallery will launch with your photos and videos highlighted under the "Recently Imported" section:
If you find that not all your photos were imported from your device's Camera Roll after performing the above steps, you can either copy the photos to your computer using Windows Explorer, or you can use additional software such as Windows Live Photo Gallery or Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 or later to import all pictures.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Connect the iPad to your MBP and open iTunes.  In the photos section of your iPad in iTunes you can choose selected albums, Events or the entire iPhoto library to sync to your iPad.

When trying to open iphoto I get the error message "You can't open the application iPhoto because it may be damaged or incomplete." How do I fix this and get my photo's back?

    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go

  • How do I move 3741 photos in iPhoto on my iPad to iPhoto on my iMac?

How do I move 3741 photos in iPhoto on my iPad to iPhoto on my iMac?
My iMac lost all of the photos in the iPhoto library about 3 OSX updates ago (current system 10.9.1) but they recently appeared on my iPad. I have looked at all of the iphoto libraries on my iMac (3) and one contains 419 photos, one contains 3 photos and the main library has place holders with description information for 3741 photos but no photos. My iPad has all of the photos in iPhoto. How do I move them?

The answer is no. There is no originals (or masters folder) that I can find. Below are the following folders in iPhoto:
Events Folder: 71 place holders with decriptions including 6 recent photos
Photos Folders: 3741 Place Holders with descriptions
    Photo Stream: 1 photo
    Last 18 Months: 157 photos
    Last Import: 1 photo
    Cloud: 229 photos
1 Album: 3 placeholders with descriptions
    Slideshow: 1 placeholder with description
Many of the actual photos are recent and are duplicated in one of the abovefolders

  • How can I synchronize my iPhoto events? my iTunes doesn't read them and with the app Images in the iPad I can only find Photos, Albums, Faces and Places, not Events.

How can I synchronize my iPhoto events? my iTunes doesn't read them and with the app Images in the iPad I can only find Photos, Albums, Faces and Places, not Events.

I had a problem a couple of months ago when iPhotos suddenly rearranged the order of my Events (Why won't iPhoto let me arrange my photos?) .  I was told "Use albums not events - events are not a good way to organize - albums and folder are designed for organisation and are very flexible".
Haha!  I should have paid attention and read between the lines!  My iPhotos were highly organised groupings - not according to date but the way I wanted them - and it was so easy to do!  I see now that if I had them all in albums, as per the Apple Apologist suggestion, I wouldn't have this unholy mess I have been left with just to make iPhone & iCloud users happy.  I am now going through Photos and making Albums (of what used to be in my Events)  ... maybe I'll get this finished before they do another non user friendly update!

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.
    Thanks

What is your iPhoto version and how did you install it originally?
If it came with a new mac and Lion or Mt. Lion installed, you can delete iPhoto from the Applications folder (don't empty the Trash) and download it again from the "Purchased" tab of the App Store.
If you have bought the iLife CD, reinstall iPhoto from the installation media, after deleting it from the Application folder.
Or if your Mac came with an older MacOS X, but iLIfe preinstalled, use the system Install CDs,  see Terence Devlin's post here:  Re: My iPhoto isn't working. Error message says "you can't open the app "iPhoto" because it may be damaged or incomplete.
    Regards
    Léonie
P.S: This may not only be a problem of a broken iPhoto. What did you do, directly before this happened? Did you run a program, that will clean the Mac to save space, like "Clean My Mac" or "Mac Keeper"? These little helpers can be risky and overdo it and remove too much. Then it might be safer to reinstall your system, because other essential files might be missing now.
