There are a couple ways you can do this, here's one:
1. On the Windows 8 Start screen, move your mouse to the bottom left corner of the screen.
2. Right-click in the corner, and a menu should appear. Click File Explorer.
3. The Computer window appears on the Windows desktop. Click the file location from the navigation panel on the left. (Example: If the file you're looking for is in the Documents folder, click Documents, and browse to the desired file.)

Does anyone know how to open pages document with windows vista? i saved it onto a usb stick but when i tried to open it on the computers in my university which support windows vista, it didnt reconise the file and opened with a page of question marks!!!! Im panicking now!!!!!

You cannot open it on Windows Vista. The only application in the world that opens a Pages document is Pages, and it is Mac OS X only.
Your options:
1. Find a Mac with Pages installed, and save the document as doc or pdf, which you can open on Vista.
or, if that is impossible,
2. Open the files in a texteditor like Notepad.exe on Windows and try to piece text fragments together to get at least part of your original text back. The images should also be available somewhere, even though all formatting is gone.

How to open iCloud documents with ios8

hi,
i recently updated my iPad to ios8. and when it asked me to install iCloud drive i said yes.
Now when i open pages on my iPad, there are no documents.
when i go to iCloud.com on my mac i can see those documents, so they still exist.
how can i open my 'iCloud' documents on pages on my iPad?
most forums say i need to install the beta version of os yosemite, whom installation is not working those days.
the only thing i can do was to open a document on iCloud.com on my mac and send it to me via email. from my iPad i could read that email and open the document in pages. But this work only with small documents, a document bigger than 20 Mo, cannot be sent via email ( i'm using gmail)
please help me, i really need those documents, i'm working with them.

Can't open secured documents on windows 7 domain client with mandatory profiles.

While opening certain PDF files we have the problem that the user is presented with a message that he does not have the rights permissions. This happens twice, after that the users gets an empty page with the message the Adobe version might not be up to date. We use Acrobat Pro 10, but this also happens while using Reader 11.0.8. On our windows 2008 terminal services machine this could be fixed by giving the user rights on c:\ to create and remove a file. :O. On windows 7 this doesn't work probably because of UAC. But we've tried every solution to that available on the internet, disabling uac, changing uac options, changing rights on userprofile folders, changing rights on c:\ but to no avail. When using process explorer we can see it wants to create a temp file p328hkl.tmp or something like that on C but it can't and immediattely after is shows the error on screen.
Anyone who also has this problem or solved it? There are no problems with simple self made pdf files/scans but only with certain types of pdf files for which it tries to create a tmp file.

Thanks for your reaction. We do have AppData redirection in place. We redirect AppData to a share on our data server which works perfectly fine for all other applications. The weird thing is that Reader/Acrobat try to write to C:\ which to my knowledge should not happen, is this maybe a fallback because it can’t write to a different location? Users have full control on their own roaming AppData but not on their local AppData that is made by windows itself while copying the mandatory default profile to C:\.
I might use the wrong term while saying secured documents. I’m talking about a document created by Raet/Youforce a web application for personal administration. The documents can be opened by other viewers than Acrobat/Reader but then only contain the background and not the text. In Acrobat/Reader they do open normally when Acrobat/Reader can create the .tmp file. Otherwise it will not display the file at all. I would attach such a document to see but since it contains certain info I am not allowed to do so.
I hope we can work out a solution for this.

Hello! I just want to know how to open a document (.pdf or .doc).

I have looked at Labview\vi.lib\platform\browser.llb\Open a Document on Disk.vi but the vi has many subvi's. It works well but when I build a new application I always get errors when I try to open the document. Thank you.

How to open pdf document in other window by using java script

My jdeveloper version is 10.1.3.3.0.3
I want to open pdf document in other window on clicking the button
for that i have written following code in process request of the controller:

Most likely causes:
There might be a typing error in the address.
If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

Instead of giving the link in Process form request, give the link directly in Destination URI property of the button and in target property write _blank.
Note : use normal button not submit button

When working with KM Navigation iView such as AdminExplorer, I need to open a document in the same window or IFrame. I can't seem to find a way of doing so. The document always pop-ups.

I canNOT use SharePoint Designer nor do I have access to server to change any 14 hive files.
I have a SharePoint 2010 List with a field of type Hyperlink. I need these links to open in New Window. Only links with-in this LVWP should open in new window (and not links on Quicklaunch or top nav).
Any clues how to achieve this please? JS is okay.

I have initially stored a document outside the WEB-INF in the .war file to retrieve it from a jsp file of the same war file. But now the file has been stored at a location on the same server and outside the .war file. how can I retrieve the file path and location outside the war file from the jsp. Create a servlet which reads the file from the local file system and writes it to the outputstream of the response after having set the response headers accordingly. though i am not able to answer, i can get some answer for my question.
How the link item is handled thru the ActionType and event in the Client Action..?
The reason for this question is that we are trying to extend the customer search page in AR - EBSR12. there the search result page has the Account Name as a link and the Action event says viewAccountName and the action type says firePartialAction. I am trying to understand this so that i can add more parameters to the link so that i can use them in the target page of the link..

I am implementing an APEX application that presents a report with a search field with a checkbox (search google ON/OFF).
If this checkbox is activated by the user and he clicks on GO button, the application will filter the APEX report. At the same time, it will open in a separate window with the google search tool, using the same parameters existents in the APEX report search field.
If the checkbox is not activated, only the filtered report is displayed, without the google window.
Is it possible to implement on APEX 3.2.1? How could i do it?
I'm trying to use the examples in the forum (ex: javascript function in the HTML page header, and activating function by a branch).
I'm working with APEX to version 3.2.1, with Oracle Database 10g XE.
