How to open one view in another view?

There are 2 iViews in my page. In first iView ther re some hyperlinks. When i click on these links the target should open in the next iView. Can any one help me?
I'm a fresher to this EP6.0.
NOTE:- When i clicked the link it is navigating to other window instead of opening the target in next iView.
Please help me...

you can try EPCM method
EPCM.doNavigate('target',2)
0 (or missing): Same window
1: New window without navigation
2: New window (with navigation)
The syntax for EPCM is
EPCM.doNavigate(String target, [int mode, String winFeat, String winName, int history, String targetTitle, String context])
or else you can use window open method for which you can refer

               Could any please tell me,How to include one view into another view.
In my requirment.I want to create a 'Z' view for an interface .In that view i have to take,
1) Ship-to-email adrr by
                          LIKP-KUNNR -> KNA1-ADRNR
                          KNA1-ADRNR -> ADR6-ADDRESNUMBER.
2) E-mail addr of person who created the document.i.e
    LIKP-ERNAM -> USR21-BNAME.
    USR21-ADDRESNUMBER -> ADR6-ADDRESNUMBER
    USR21-PERSNUMBER -> ADR6-PERSNUMBER.
   In both the case we have to pass ADDRESSNUMBER to ADR6 table.
If we pass these condition it fails,B'Coz at a time it passes Two ADDRESSNUMBER and a PERSNUMBER.
So i created two which fetches only the email addr of person who created the document.and another view fetches Ship-to-email addr.
Now i want to include the second view into first view . Is it possible?or please
tell me someother way to get these email addresses in a single view.

as per my knowledge, nested views are not possible. However, while creating a new view, selection method will not giv u option to select the already created view(S) except the tables..i think so.

If you want to resue the jsff code, make use of bounded task flow with page fragment and then use it as a region.

How to copy one request to another request

How to copy one request to another new request?
I have a released workbench request in which it has around 1200 Objects (including data elements, domains, programs and many more), now i need to copy all these objects into a new request.
I can do this by SE03 (Include Objects in a Transport Request ) transaction, but it is a lengthy process.
Is there any way to copy directly in one go.

The thing is like this....
i have a released request in which we have more than 1200 objects, in that i dont need 10 objects.
so when i create it as copy of transport request, i just deleted those 10 objects and saved.
Now, if i transport the new request how many objects will go? 1200 or 1190?
in the new request i am getting the old request under Comment: Object List Included.
is it necessary to transport the old request?
i need to transport only 1190 objects.

How modify data one view from another view in Cluster view

I have a cluster view which includes two independent maintenance views. These views have not a direct relationship.
If I would append or change or delete records in the first view I want to add or change or delete some records in the second view.
1.
I have tried to use Extended Table Maintenance Events of the first view to modify the second but I cant access to the TOTAL and EXTRACT tables the second view from the fist view.
Is there any way to get access from one view to another using Extended Table Maintenance Events?

I have tried to use the Event 04/VC: Before Saving the Data in the Database of the cluster view. I can access and modify the second view internal table using routines
READ TABLE vcl_struc_tab WITH KEY object = 'ZFIRST_VIEW' INTO structab_wa.
if not structab_wa-UPD_REQU is initial.
   perform VCL_SET_TABLE_ACCESS_FOR_OBJ using 'ZSECOND_VIEW' changing error_flag.
   it_tbl_second = <VCL_TOTAL>.
   loop at it_tbl_second into wa_second.
     wa_tbl_second-vim_action = 'U'.
     modify it_tbl_second from wa_second
   endloop.
endif.
But to save modified entries of the second view to database I have to twice press SAVE buttons.
The first time I have pressed SAVE above routines are executed and modified entries appear only in the second view internal table. The second time I have pressed SAVE modified entries appear in the database.
I would like user press SAVE button only once. How I can do it?

Without a dependant field how will you perform this operation ?
You have to link the fields in the tables, generate maintenance view, add it to cluster view and do it.

How to open a view to a Item in "read only" mode directly from SAP Logon.

Hello Gurus;
We need to display a given portfolio item to the user in display (read only) mode.
We have managed to open a view to the portfolio item using function INM_UI_NAV_GET_OIF_URL to obtain its URL and FM CALL_BROWSER to open it. The problem is that the item is opened in edit mode.
Is there any way to open this item in read only mode (and disable the 'Edit' button as well)?

How to change one iView to another in portal page by clicking the third one

I have created four iViews: two speedometers with web application designer and two iViews with visual composer. I added the speedometers and a visual composer iView #1 to a portal page (default view). The requirement is that by clicking the speedometer #2, the visual composer iView #2 would replace visual composer iView #1 on the portal page. If the user then would select the speedometer #1 again by clicking it, visual composer iView #2 would replace #1 again and so on.

I don't need to filter anything, just to change one iView to another in a portal view by clicking a third one.
I have thought of placing two VC iView to a same portal page area and defining one of the to be visible and another hidden (by clicking speedometers these properties would change), but I haven't found the way how that could be done in portal. Is there a way to define some OnClick-method to change visibility parameters or url-address of another iView?
One solution might be¨on the other hand to transfer any value to VC by clicking a speedometer and to change the visibility of the VC iViews according to that value (the speedometer #1 should in that case transfer other value to VC than speedometer #2). I don't know if that is possible with speedometers - you can't reference any characteristics or variables with it.
If you have an idea, what would be the best way to accomplish this requirement, I would be very glad to hear about it! We are in VC 7.0.

Hi,
In the portal, create a page and place the iView having the three input fields on top. Place the second iView below. Keep differing the second iView for every page. In this way you can make the iView with 3 input fields only in the desired pages. You can use EPCF to invoke / navigate to another iView.

How to copy one schema into another

I need to copy one schema into another. That means, all the tables, views, constraints, etc, and all the data as well.
I have a dmp file of source-schema (created daily with expdp by our backup schedule).
Can I use impdp to import this dmp file into dest-schema? I'm thinking about something like this:
The dmp file was created with:
expdp source-schema/pwd DIRECTORY=dmpdir DUMPFILE=myproject.dmp
Create the copy on dest-schema with:
impdp dest-schema/pwd DIRECTORY=dmpdir DUMPFILE=myproject.dmp
(dest-schema is an existing schema on the same machine. I'll drop all the tables before executing the command. Is there anything else I should do first?)
If this approach is not feasible, kindly suggest me an alternative.

In the end I used the following command and it worked for me. I added TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=REPLACE since the destination was not empty.
First I ran these command logged in as SYS
GRANT Import Full Database TO dest-schema;
GRANT Create Any Directory TO dest-schema;
GRANT Unlimited Tablespace TO dest-schema;
impdp
dest-schema/pwd
DIRECTORY=dmpdir
DUMPFILE=myproject.dmp
REMAP_SCHEMA=source-schema:dest-schema
TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=REPLACE
LOGFILE=implog.log
There were some errors though. The import process complained about constraints referencing non-existent primary keys.
It turns out that the source schema has some constraints that are marked with status DISABLED. These constraints either:
- are not part of the DUMP file
or
- are in the DUMP file but skipped during import
Don't know if this is a bug or by design behavior.
