How to open only one web page at a time?

I used to have it set so when I opened a new web page, the previous one closed. Now, nothing closes automatically and I have about 50 pages open that I have to close. How do I set it so that only one page opens at a time?

You can use a keyboard shortcut to close all windows in Safari. CommandShiftW.
To close one window, Command + W.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Only one web pages is slow - on another pc on same lan it opens fast

Hi,
Am running Firefox 29.0.1 on a Windows 7 pc. One particular web pages takes over a minute to load. On the same LAN I have another pc running Firefox 29.0 on Ubuntu (Linux) and it opens the same web page in a matter of seconds.
On the Windows 7 pc I have cleared the cache, cleared cookies but still the one page gives problems.

Any ideas to fix the problem would be very much appreciated.

How to open only one clip at a time in the source monitor?

Ok the answer to this question may be simple.. hopefully...
At the moment each time I open a clip in the source monitor it adds it to the dropdown list.
Fine... but I am opening and closing hundreds of clips in a day and after a while I noticed it seemed to be slowing down the whole PPCS5.5 system.
It appears that PP seems to be keeping each clip I open... active.
Is there a way to allow only one clip to be open at a time in the source monitor... other than having to close them all first??? (would be ideal if there was some kind of shortcut like shift-doubleclick)

Html Widget Crashes. How to load only one html widget at a time?

I have a bunch of html widgets which are just tab navigators with html pages inside of them. I must have about 20 of them , mostly leading to google image searches for common searches I tend to do in my work. Instead of constantly searching for these things on google I just click on the tab with the google search for say..."tree images". Its very fast and effecient for me.
The problem is now I have so many that it crashes photoshop, or crashes adobe configurator most of the time if I try to open the panel file. Im guessing that the panel I made tries to load all 20 google image searches at once, instead of only loading the page I click on one at a time. Is there anyway to stop configurator from loading my html widgets that arent clicked on ?

JPanel in it. I also have a JButton "New" on the
JPanel. When I click on the "New" Button, another JFrame
appears. But I want ONLY one JFrame to be appeared
at a time. That is when a JFrame appears on the JPanel,
I should not be able to add another one.
If it is not possible to do this with JFrame, then how to do
it with a JDialog

You can declare a boolean variable in your class and set it to true if you open a window. Next time when you click the NEW button, check whether that boolean value is true or false. If true then don't open a new window. Also when u close the frame window, set the boolean value to false.

How can I scroll one full page at a time using the mouse wheel?

I've had this problem for 3 years now. When I nudge my scroll wheel (IntelliMouse Optical) one notch forward or back, Safari moves 1/4 of a page up or down. How can I get one nudge of the scroll wheel to move one full page up or down? Firefox has an add-on, SmoothWheel, that can be set to a full page. Are there any options for doing this in Safari, without having to go to the keyboard? I tried Smart Wheel, no setting for that.

p.s. Please don't tell me to get another mouse, I've tried dozens of them and the old IntelliMouse Optical is the best one for me. (I'm also stuck on an ancient Apple M2980 keyboard. I love those old keyboards.)

I can't use the keyboard to scroll. I need to keep my hand on the mouse, otherwise I'd never get anything done. Since I have no problem getting Firefox to scroll one page at a time, and I'm constantly jumping between 3 browsers, it would be nice to be able to scroll a full page at a time in Safari, just like I can in Firefox. How to use only one event case at a time??

Using LabVIEW, using the event structure is it possible to have only one event case execute at a time. For example, having event case controlled by keyboard, and the other event case controlled by mouse (clicking buttons) and only one being able to execute, not simultaneously. I was considering using a switch of some sort, but each case does not have a "stop if true/false" so I am open to a new method or work around. I attached code. I do not want output to be able to be sent from the keyboard case and mouse case at the same time.

Ah, OK. all you need is to keep state in a shift register that ensures that all "key down/mouse down" events are discarded after each key down/mounse down event until a key up or mouse up (resp.) has occured.
Overall, you code is still way to complicated for this simple task. For example, you could eliminate all these "select" primitives and place the approriate diagram constant inside the respective case. On the other hand it is too simplistic, because you would think that certain key combinations should be allowed concurrently (e.g. up and left).
What does the receiver actually do with the codes? Do you have any documentation for this device?

Battery Issue. I only have an hour worth of battery life at 86% with minimal background lighting and only one web page open.

I currently have a macbook pro with about 130 charge cycles that was purchased in August 2012. After about an hour unplugged with no activity only an hour and 54 minutes remain w/ 86% battery. According to coconut battery the battery health is at 85%. Should I bring the macbook into the apple store? Earlier today I lost 20% of my battery life in 20 minutes with only word open. I recalibrated the battery as well and I havent had any improvement.

How do I have more than one web page on at a time?

I can only watch or use one web page at a time. I f I try to get on something else it will knock me out of what I was doing on the other page.

Delete only one text message at a time w/o deleting entire conversation?

Does anyone know how to delete only one text message at a time without having to delete the entire conversation? The only two options I get are "clear conversation" or "cancel."

That's the same option I get too. It seems to me I recall seeing somewhere that you could delete individual messages in a thread but I don't remember where.
It seems silly to limit deletions to only the entire conversation since with most phones you can delete individual messages.

HT202225 I keep getting pop ups on my iMac for the first time in 6 years after one of my kids tried to watch football through crichd tv. safari now opens with smart search engine rather than google every time i try to open a new web page.

Ever since one of my kids tried to watch football on a website called crichd tv I keep getting pop us come up like Mackeeper and every time i try to open a web page it comes up with Smartsearch rather than google which is my preferred search engine in preferences. I have blocked extensions and changed homepage to google but this Smartsearch keeps overriding. Also a thing called MacKeeper keeps popping up I have followed the instructions to uninstall but the file it says to move to trash from the Applications folder but it simply isn't there or anywhere else. The file to uninstall Smartsearch is also not where they say it is in Library>frameworks>
Very frustrating from going from a perfectly working system to a now very frustrating and annoying pop ups coming uo after every time i open a new web page.
Any help or assistance in this matter would be very much appreciated.

How do I save a web page so that someone else can open it?

Sometimes I want to save web pages as archives for future reference. I thought printing as a PDF would be the most widely readable format, but items on the page are often lost and I end up with question marks.
I have just tried "Save As" to a web archive, and that works well in Safari (meaning that Safari can reopen it perfectly), but when I emailed the file to a PC user they couldn't open it. I assumed a web archive format would be readable by any web browser; obviously that's not the case.

A web-link won't work because the particular page I want to send requires a subscription. The story about this particular page I want to send: four of us are planning a 7-day hiking trip through some Tasmanian wilderness, and we don't go unless the weather forecast is fine. I am subscribed to a weather website, but when I send this link:

• Firefox can, but it generates a separate folder of files ( I would have to combine the two, then zip them, then email);
• iCab may be able to, but I haven't tested it yet.
I didn't think saving a web page, incorporated into a single file, would be so complicated.

In Java 1.5, you can use the JVM's own monitoring APIs to examine what other JVMs are running on the system, and what applications they're running.
It's general and powerful, but complex. The socket/file/whatever approach is cleaner, and probably more suited to your usage.
Don't bother trying to use the Windows task manager for this sort of thing. You have to write messy native code, and it isn't reliable after all that anyway.
