How to open photoshop in 32 bit

I want to create gifs using Photoshop CS5, however I have the 64-bit version. How can I change it to 32-bit so I can create gifs? Will I be able to change it back to 64-bit?

Hello jane(?),
because I'm using CC I can't directly say, whether you have really to use a 32bit version. But here's a nice manual "Build Animated GIFs in Photoshop", which you could try for a test with your 64bit version: http://creativetechs.com/tipsblog/build-animated-gifs-in-photoshop/
Good luck!

i just purchased monthly plan for creative cloud.  I understood the plan included photoshop.  But no idea how to open photoshop app.  just keep looping into screens which instruct me to purchase creative cloud.  hugely frustrating.   on hold forever with customer service.

First check to see your plan is active: Adobe ID
Try launching Photoshop choosing Trial instead of a purchase.
    Mac             /Applications/Photoshop CC/Photoshop CC.app
    Windows  C:\Program files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Photoshop CC.exe
Then once inside, go to Help > Sign in...  There, use the email address and password for your account and it should activate.
If that does not work, could you tell me what version of PS you have and what os version you are using?

  • How to open Photoshop files as layers in an open Illustrator file?

    Hi there,
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but right now I'm working with both Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 on a mac. I'm creating a graphic. The background is a (cartoonish) mouth and I finished it a couple of days ago. (It's an Illustrator file.) I've been working on the letters to go inside of the mouth, (Once I'm finished it'll look as though they're being crushed.) I scanned and edited small wooden letters in Photoshop, and now I would like to work with them with the background in Illustrator. I understand how to open a Photoshop file in Illustrator, but I don't want to open the document as a separate Illustrator file. Is there a way to open a file from Photoshop as a second layer?
Some of the letters repeat as well. Will I have to create two files for this, or can I open the same file twice?
    Thanks! VA

Simply copy&paste the stuff to the worjking document. You are over-thinking this.

  • I receive an error message that some of the application components are missing when trying to open Photoshop CC 64-bit

    Hi,
I'm using Windows 8.1 and I can see photoshop CC 64 bit. But when I'm launching it, it throws an error "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application". I've reinstalled twice but getting the same error. Whereas the 32 bit application works fine. Any help?

Govinda_s13 are you still receiving the error messages referenced above?

  • How to Open Photoshop CS5?

I have been talking to PS Tech.Serv. for a week and they have no solution. I installed PS CS5. When I try to open Photoshop or Bridge I get a message, "This application failed to initialize properly (0xc000001d). Click on OK to terminate the application. I have Windows XP. HELP!

Edit: I tried saving files as PDF and JPG but when I try to open the documents on a computer without photoshop (a windows version)
Both PDF and JPG should meet those requirements anyway.
The PDF should be able to be opened with Acrobat Reader at the least (maybe you should check if it is the current version).
You could try using File > Save for Web & Devices to create a smaller JPG, though.

    Hello,
the canon CR2 file is 14 bit. However when Camera Raw and Photoshop open it, they conert it to 8 bit.
This means they discard 6 bit of color depth/inforamation
How can I instruct Camera Raw and Photoshop to keep all 14 bit data and convert it to 16 bit?
Many thanks for your help and advice.

At the bottom of the ACR window is a "link" to this dialog
It should be a button really!

  • How to open Photoshop App CC on Mac desktop?

Downloaded CC trial onto my Mac OS X 10.8.4 yesterday.  From there, how do I open the Photoshop app from the CC on my desktop?  There is not the option to click on the app from the app list.  I can click on the "More Information" below the app which takes me to the internet.  I need to open the app itself on my desktop. Thank you!

Well, well, well.  For all of you newbies out there, on your apps page, just like an iPhone, there's a second
"dot" indicating a second page.  And there is the app.  Right there.  Thanks folks.

  • How to open Firefox in 32-bit mode for Mac OS X 10.6?

cannot use Firefox in 64-bit mode for IMac running OS X 10.6 as it will not work with banking scanning software.

To set Firefox to always run in 32 bit mode, open up Finder and go to the Applications folder. Control-click the Firefox app and click "Get Info", then select the "Open in 32-bit mode" option.

  • How to open Photoshop Temp File without extension

    Hi Adobe Community,
My photoshop recently closed with some files open. I supect windows update to be behind that but can't be sure.
I found in the %temp% folder couple files thats look interresting but no way to open them or be sure what it is.
    Files are:
         - Photoshop Temp21185767124 (36 864 KB)
         - Photoshop Temp745149862732 (1 164 672 KB)
         - Photoshop Temp1555241910196 (885 632 KB)
          - Photoshop Temp556628194484 (96 640KB)
         ... and there're 2 more at 0 KB.
    Using:
          - Photoshop CS5 12.1 x64
          - Windows 7 Service Pack 1
Looking for a way to get those files back or at least know what they are...
    Thank you all
    Martin

They're temporary scratch files that can be safely discarded.  There is nothing useful you can do with them.
With Photoshop CS6 there may be auto-save recovery files as well nearby, but they're always .psb files, and you don't have to do anything special - Photoshop will automatically open them the next time you run it after a crash.  Photoshop CS5 did not have the auto-recovery feature; if it crashes you lose your work.

  • How can I open Photoshop CC?

RE: My problem on this topic:
I just downloaded PhotoSHopCC onto my Macbook Pro and had no apparent problems… other than not being able to locate the new PhotoShopCC icon [I want to OPEN the program and/or place the icon in my LaunchPad!]. My Applications folder for some reason indicates it is empty.  Why would that be??  When I do a search for the new PShopCC app all I find are many existing files that may or may not have some relationship with PhotoShop.  BUT, there IS a heading on the Search Results page that says Adobe PhotoShop CC. That is the only indication so far that the installation was successful.  Thank you for any help you may provide!

  • Photoshop CC 64 bit sometimes won't recognize Nvidia graphics card

Sometimes when I open Photoshop CC 64 bit on windows 8.1 I get these warnings. I then have to restart my laptop for Photoshop to recognize my graphics card. Sometimes when I launch photoshop it is fine and there is no issue at all. It seems like every other time I launch Photoshop I get these warnings. I noticed that when installing programs from Adobe CC there are 2 versions installed. I tried opening the version that is not 64 bit and I did not get these warnings.

I noticed from another thread, that nVidia released a new Windows driver earlier this month.  About the 3rd of March if memory serves.  I don't know what card you are using, but I think some of those drivers cover a range of cards for the OS the driver is intended for.
