How to open several regions at once??

Surely there must be a way to edit the contents of one region while refering to the contents of another, but I can't find a way to open more than one region at a time. I talking about editing in the matrix window, BTW.
Can anyone help??

Thanks for the suggestions, but I'm still not getting the result.
It's obviously no problem to have the Arrange Window open and then click on a region to open the Matrix Editor for that region, but I'd like to be able to open the Matrix Editor for a SECOND region without losing the Matrix Editor for the first region and preferably leaving the Arrange page visible too.
I checked out the links etc on page 29, but it didn't seem to explain what I'm after. Have I missed something??
Anyone still able to help??

This is a very frustrating problem. Web searches lead most ppl to assume that it is...
1) It is an issue with OS X ->System Preferences->General->Restore Windows when quitting...
2) It is an issue with MS Excel->Preferences->General->At startup, open all file in...
If the issue persists, check the following for the following folder
/Users/xxx/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/Excel
More than likely, the worksheets that keep automatically opening will be here. Copy these files to another location and DELETE them from this folder.

How to open several psdfiles simultaniously in Camera Raw 8.1

I've replaced my Ps 5.5 by Ps 6.
Now I'm having problems with opening psd files in Camera Raw; in Ps 5 I worked from Bridge and could open that type of files from Bridge to ACR.
I just found out how to open it in Photoshop: open as....RAW file.
But I want several psd-files opening in ACR simultaniously, because I want to synchronise them.
That is not possible; I can only select just 1 file.
How to handle this?

If you can open even one PSD file in ACR, you should be here answering questions - not asking them.
I am also confused by your Photoshop version numbers. Do you mean CS5.5 and CS6 There was no CS5.5, although there was a Creative Suite CS5.5 which obviously contained Photoshop. Or are you talking about early versions of Photoshop? PS5.5 (Strange Cargo) was released in February 1999 and PS6 (Venus in Furs) in September 2000, but Camera RAW support didn't arrive till version 7.0.1 in August 2002.
ACR can open RAW files, plus JPGs and TIFFs, but not PSD files.

How to open firefox just this once without prior sessions restarting?

Last session I stumbled on a site infected with malware. Now, each time I reopen Firefox, the old sessions restart, as usual (and as I want them to, except for now), going immediately into the malware problem again.
Firewalls and anti-virus are handling the problem ok so far, but obviously I can't keep opening Firefox and banging against the malware.
How to open without restoring previous sessions? I'm not talking about changing the default setting, not talking about having it never restore sessions. Just this time, how to get around the automatic restore of sessions?

What you're seeing is a preventavtive measure in place by the server to prevent spamming. Sending email to large amounts of recipients at once is a tell tale sign of a spam bot.
Use a listserv or similar service to acheive what you want.

How to open two docs at once for a collage

I am trying to create a collage. From reading Evening and Kelby it seems that I should create a blank document and then open the photos that I want to include. My next step is to make a selection or drag the whole file to the empty document. Finally, I should use free transform and move the layers around for my final result. My problem is that I cannot open two documents at once. If I create the blank document, once I open a photo it relaces the blank but I cannot have both open at the same time. I have looked through my books (no shortgage of photoshop books, just practical experience) and tried a search. Doers it make a difference if the photo I am trying to open is not in Lightroom or Bridge but simply on my desktop. I am certain that I am missing something simple but the solution eludes me. CS4 and an iMac 24. Thanks.

If you want to work in tabbed view, do it like this:
Select the move tool. Go to the tab that contains one of the image files.
Drag the image over the tab that has the blank document (Keep holding down the mouse button). Wait till that tab opens.
Drag & drop the image into the blank document.

Hi, I'm trying to host an internet game that requires several ports using UDP.
What is the proper syntax to open up a range of ports and then several other specific ones all for the same application? Can I list them all in the Public UDP Port(s) box like this: *5120-5300, 6500, 6667, 27900, 28900* ?
Is it really necessary to bypass DHCP and assign a Static IP? What if I check to see what IP DHCP has given me and then put that into Airport?

Well, I did some searching on the game's technical support forum, and came across this excellent port forwarding website: www.portforward.com
They give instructions for an extensive list of routers, of which the Airport Extreme is one: http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm
They also list a ton of applications, the ports they use, and how to configure your chosen router to use them. Here's what they say about the Airport Extreme:
"The AirPortExtreme will not allow you to forward enough ports, to run Neverwinter Nights. You should try using the DMZ portion of this router if it is available. Alternatively you can try switching the router to bridged mode. You will need to contact your ISP to switch to bridged mode, so they can make the required changed on their end. "
It looks like I'll have to try the DMZ approach as the second poster suggested. Bummer.

I am starting out in oracle development and am currently attempting to develop a tool which uses a text item which can be updated by cut and paste (~ie from a spreadsheet) and then can query several tables(each as blocks joined by relations with the primary key of the first block being that of each item in the text feild) pulling back one row for each item entered in the original text item and displaying all the results as usual in the joined data fields. The problem i am having is attempting to 1. inserting multiple data items into the query box (text item), as the focus stays in the first item and i want to insert say 20 for the query by cut and paste. Secondly when populated i want to be able to use all these items to query the database when i press a button , however it shall only query the first row in the text item . Is it possible to loop in a when button pressed trigger? If not then i thought about inserting the rows in the original text item into a database table then joining it to the other tables by relation for query, however how do i loop through the text time and insert into a table( in a trigger or in a called procedure? any help would be much appreciated.

I am not sure if I understood completely what you want to do,
but if you want to query a block using a list of values,
you can modify dinamically the block where clause and use
the operator "in".
For example, loop through the values in the text item and
build a list of values - at the end you'll get in a varchar2
variable the following:
'10, 12, 17, 22'
Let's say the variable is called vList. Then you can use:
set_block_property('myblock', default_where, 'thecolumn in ('||vList||')');
So the block will retrieve all and only the records in the list.
By the way, I suggest you break such long posts with blank lines

I'd like to make several groups of website tabs that would each open up by double clicking on a single shortcut.
For example: when I am going to do my online banking I would like to open a single shortcut, and then that would open all of my banking websites, each on a different tab.

You can add all URLs to the command line separated by a space.<br />
If the list gets too long then you need to use a firefox.cmd file to start Firefox with all the websites.

How does this make sense? Sorry, but on my XP box I have over 1000 artists and 1700 albums, each in separate folders (organized by iTunes because I don't have time for such nonsense) - opening all of those folders would be quite a mess on the desktop!
If you want to see the actual files, select any ONE song and choose "Show in Windows Explorer". It will open the containing folder.
Part of the point of iTunes is to make folders and files irrelevant by using a database. You don't need to see or manipulate folder and files to add/remove/edit/play/organize songs, or to use the iPod.

I 'like to know if it is possible to click on two buttons at a time that is to say can click the same button twice or clicking two different buttons and can execute both programs in parallel.

How do i stop it automatically switching to new tab, the setting is not ticked in options. This is annoying when opening several tabs.

Although I do not have 'switch to new tab immmediately' ticked, when I ask to open in new tab it switches immediately. This is a problem as I open several tabs from my main page and don't want to go to them at once, I'll look at them in order as I need them. Since an update I now have it switching to the opened tab, and I have to keep flicking back to the main tab. It's giving me repetitive strain problems having to keep clicking the mouse more than necessary. It's an option in the settings, I'd like it to rmain that way. I seriously don't want to keep having to go back to my main page every time I want to open a new tab. Could you make it as it was before please, it was super then. Many thanks in advance. :-)

How do I replace a component in several BOMs at once?

I need to replace an item that appears in several BOMs. Rather than go into each BOM separately and remove the old component and then go back in and add the replacement component, is there a way to find and replace several (all) at once?

You have fist to create a Change type :
Bill of materials > Setup > Change types
Open the BOM Mass update form, enter the Change type , enter the selection criteria for the Assemblies.
In the Changes window, select the Change type 'Update'. On the first line (Update), enter the Component to change. On the second line (New), enter the new component.If necessary, enter component information.
On the main screen, select Report and submit : will display all the changes that will be performed.
Select Implement and submit : will apply the changes.
