How to open .zip files downloaded
I've downloaded a number of zip files using Firefox Mobile, first clicking on the "Open" button after clicking on the link to the zip file (it didn't work) , and clicking "Save" and after downloading trying to click "Open" (it didn't work either).
How do I open zip files downloaded with Firefox for Mobile? And where are they stored when saved?

solution yet.
i'm using jsp.
anyone have the jsp code for the same????

thanx in advance.Hi
Use the Filedialog class.
Let your button call a method wich contains the following Java code:
FileDialog filedialog =
new FileDialog( Frame1.this, "Open a File", FileDialog.LOAD );
//witch calls this constructor: public FileDialog(Frame parent, String title, int mode)
//use Filedialog.SAVE to save a file.
filedialog.show();
String filename = filedialog.getFile();//to display the name of the file
String directoryname = filedialog.getDirectory();// to display the directory name -
How to download and open zip file
Download cannot be done
Hi ratan45,
Does your device support the file type? There are some zip tools in the Google play store that would be helpful with unzipping.
However if it cannot download please try this:
#[http://www.vbaccelerator.com/home/VB/Code/vbMedia/Audio/Lossless_WAV_Compression/Sample_APE_File.asp] click on the sample zip file
# go to about:downloads and click on the file
# Select a app that can open zip files on your device (please find one on Google play if you do not have one)
Do you have an example url where this is not happening? -
How do I zip file folders to send to Windows users? They can never open!
How do I zip file folders to send to PC users, they always have problems and can't open.
Are you trying to use one of the stuffit formats (like .sitx as you said) or do you actually want to make a .zip file which would be more logical if you are giving it to a windows user (unless they too have stuffit to stuffit expander of course)?
If you do a search for "zip" at macupdate.com you will find a whole bunch of zip tools, some of which advertise they make windows compatible zip files. For example BetterZip and WinZip Mac Edition can make windows-compatible zip files.
As I initially mentioned if you have stuffit and the windows receiver has stuffit (or stuffit expander) I don't know why there would be a problem creating a stuffit file on a mac and expanding it on windows (ignoring any possible problems introduced in the method of transmission). -
How do I open zip files on MacBook Pro?
I've been trying to open .zip files, but when I do, I get a .exe file instead, and I can't open that either, when I do I get a text file with a bunch of random symbols and letters.
.zip is a compressed file of the original, in this case a .exe file which only runs on Windows machines.
Opening it in text edit just allows you to see the code of the program.
So basically throw it away, it's worthless on your Mac. -
Dear Sir,
I have recently purcased new mac pro but facing following problems, pls assist me:
1) I have downloded few application from iStore but this are in .ipa files and i dont know how to open this files

I have created a new simple customized report for PostScript testing, but once I run the request and view the output. It asks to save or open .zip file.
Any Idea? Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
I have created a new simple customized report for PostScript testing, but once I run the request and view the output. It asks to save or open .zip file. How did you create the report? Please mention the steps.
Is this a concurrent program? If yes, what if you download the output file from the server and open it on the client machine?
Thanks,

u needn't have replied if it was bugging u so.
Maybe the zip file isn't at that location. Maybe it
didn't get completely downloaded. Maybe downloading it
puts permissions on it that don't allow you to open
it. Maybe it's password-protected. Maybe half-a-dozen
things I haven't thought of yet. Did you check any of
those obvious things? Can you open the file yourself
with a zip utility? -
How to open aspx. files in OS 10.8?
is this the right place to ask how to open aspx. files in OS 10.8.2?
Unfortunately aspx is a generic extender - it is a report generated by a server running Windows .net - it isn't an extender that actually tells what kind of file it is or what kind of data it holds. That's something you either have to know before hand so you can force the proper program to open it (or change the aspx extender to its real extender) or you have to find out what the file is.
At work our system's report generator gives everything an aspx extender. When I generate a report I decide whether it should be a PDF, Excel file, etc. After downloading the file I change its extender appropriately. -

How to open .dll files?
I'm not sure I have the correct forum, but I thought I'd try here.
I have .dll files I want to look at. I am unable to open them in any type of readable format. When I double click on them they open in Text Edit and jumbled up. I tried to open them in Preview and that didn't work either.
Can someone guide me on how to open these files? OR if this is the wrong board, let me know and I'll post some place else.
Thanks,
GingerNo. A Windows DLL file is a library of machine code meant to be loaded by a piece of software. It's unreadable by humans. An experienced developer may be able to decompile the library into x86 assembly language.
DICOM is an image format used for storing medical image data (such as MRIs, CAT scans, etc.). Many packages that work with DICOM packages have an "export to CD" function that will burn a CD with a directory of DICOM images, optionally with a copy of a program for displaying the images. It sounds like you have one of those CDs that's been burned with a copy of a Windows DICOM viewer. You won't be able to use that without a copy of Windows installed.
However, that doesn't mean that you can't view the DICOM images. The most widely used DICOM viewer is probably [OsiriX|http://www.osirix-viewer.com>, which is free to download and use. Simple install, and use the import function to load a whole directory of DICOM images at once. -

Obviously, the WAR file cannot be opened by Weblogic, but why and how to solve it ... have no clue. We went through almost everything in Internet, regarding this issue, but we couldn't find a solution.
Every idea or suggestion is more than welcome because I'm running out of ideas :(Did you perhaps do something like FTP the EAR file to the RedHat box in text mode or something? Can you check that the file size of the file on RedHat is the same as it was on Windows?
