  • How to open Zip Files in N900 ?

    Hi Guys,
I wanted to know how to open Zip files in N900 ? is there a App available for it or what ?
    Thanks

if you have rootsh installed, open up xterm and run these commands
    root
    apt-get install unzip-fm
    apt-get install unrar-fm
as in the link from aspergerguy, you need the extra catalogs installed.
once you have them installed you just need to click on the zipped file then it will unzip it to a folder of the same name

  • How to open zip files?

I am trying to open zip files that have been emailed to me. I click on the file and a message pops up so quickly that I cannot read it and then I cannot seem to find if or where the zip file has opened to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

If double clicking it doesn't work, drag the zip file icon onto the StuffitExpander.app icon.

  • How to Open a file in Application Server

    Hi All,
I am having a recquirement that I had to read the data from an Application Server file, I want to know whether any function modules are there to open a file that is in the Application server.
    Thankx In advance,
    Sri.

    Hi,
If you are on windows, the solution is to create a shared directory anf give access rights to your sapservice <SID> user.
It's not really logical to put files on app servers because one app server can stopped without stopping the system.
So we decided to put all our shared directories on the Central Instance server.

You need to convert the image file to a 2D array then transport the array via datasocket.

  • What application do I use to open Ghostery?

I had successfully downloaded Ghostery to my macbook and imac.  But it "went away" after I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard.  I keep downloading it but unlike my first installation, I'm asked what application to use to open it.  What application do I use to open my downloaded Ghostery?

.xpi is the extension for Firefox extensions (add ons), not safari, which is looking for .safariextz. You are downloading the extension for the wrong browser. I did give you a link to download the safari version above.  Here it is again.
Of course if you are using FF then you have the .xpi so drop it on FF add ons window to install it in FF.
You didn't originally specify which browser you are using so I just assumed it was Safari.
And if it is neither FF or Safari then Ghostery has extensions for a wide variety of other browsers.  See here.

  • How do you find out what application is generating a plist file in your preference folder?

I have had two similar warnings come up in Drive Genius 3, a program that I use to manage my drives.  The warnings occur during a daily verification of preferences on my main drive, a 256GB SSD.
    They state:
"The preference file at '/Users/me/Library/Preferences/com.analogsolutions.Football.plist' may be corrupted."
"The preference file at '/Users/me/Library/Preferences/org.machinedevelop.National.plist' may be corrupted."
Per Drive Genius' advisement, "Corrupted files can cause appplication crashes and should be moved to the Trash." I delete the files, however they are regenerated each day.
Q: How do you figure out what application is generating a preference file?  And is there a way to tell if this is a OS generated preference file?
I have searched online and cannot find any information about either Analog Solutions or Machine Develop nor am I able to discern what these particular .plist files are for...
Q: Are these two .plist files truly potentially harmful?
    Thanks for the Help!

Hi Everyone, sorry for the late response.  I have been monitoring my Preferences Folder; every moment I am on my computer trying to catch what application/process generates these files.  I was hoping to try your suggestions, but oddly enough the offensive .plist files have not returned since the last time I deleted them about a week ago.... strange...
In any case, I have responded to some of your suggestions and questions that I have information on:
X423424X wrote: Ok, can you double click the .plist file?  If so it should attempt to launch the Property List Editor (in your Utilities folder).  That way you can look at stuff in the plist.  Maybe (hopefully) there's something in there that can shed some light on who is creating it.   If Property List Editor cannot open the file (some apps create files that have the .plist extension but don't actually create the proper XML format -- probably what ProSoft was alluding to) then try opening it with a text editor.
The .plist file when opened in text editor contains a string of (what to me seems to be) an arbitrary list of numbers.
Linc Davis wrote: Those files have been given obfuscated names so you won't know what created them. They must contain encrypted registration data for some third-party commercial software that you use.
    Yes, seems likely...
Linc Davis wrote: It should be fairly easy to find out what application is creating them, if you really care. Move the files to the Desktop, then log out. Log back in while holding the shift key as you click the "Log In" button. That will prevent your login items from loading, among other things. Open your account preferences and launch the login items one at a time by double-clicking them in the list. After each one, check to see whether the files have been recreated.
Ran through login, one by one, no luck in identifying the application(s).
X423424X wrote: Another thought, lock the plists on the hope that whatever is using them will "choke" and complain about it (no guarantee that will work but worth a try).
Thanks, the lock idea is the one I will try next if they ever reappear...
X423424X wrote: Also, I don't recall if I asked this but if those plists are deleted while logged in will they be recreated during that same login session.  Or do they only appear after you deleted them and then and then logged out and back in?  Or do you have to reboot to recreate them?
Unfortunately I do not know for certain.  Though from all my login/startup/reboot tests I believe that they are not directly linked to starting up the machine or loging in either.
I'm not really certain why the .plist have not returned.  I haven't uninstalled any programs, though I did run a couple updates for some widgets within the last week; however that was about 3 days after I deleted the last set of .plist files and usually they reappered everyday.  In any case, given that they have not been regenerated I guess my problem is solved per se, at least I am no longer getting that annoying warning everyday.   Still, it's a bit of a mystery
Thanks again for all the help!

  • How to open a file in ZAV Application ?

    HI All
I create a Adobe reader application (version 9.4)which insert a PDF file in it.

    ZAV_AdobeFileOpenFail.png
it fail to open pdf file, but I could manual use open file to select my testing pdf file.
I want to find the main reason about this error message (or how to create to debug to verify this error)
Do I ask which document provide such information ?
    thanks!!
    wyldkao

    HI
Yes , I had insert testing pdf file to this virtual application (ex: .File\@SYSDRIVE@\test.pdf)
I meet this error message when I use ZAV template file (Adobe Reader 9.4),today, I use Adobe Reader 11.0 and use template (just use template configure , not its file content)...Adobe Reader 11.0 has no such error message like I meet. I could perform Adobe Reader 11.0 virtual application , and when it will auto open the pdf file that I set in "Command line".

  • How do I zip file folders to send to Windows users? They can never open!

How do I zip file folders to send to PC users, they always have problems and can't open.

Are you trying to use one of the stuffit formats (like .sitx as you said) or do you actually want to make a .zip file which would be more logical if you are giving it to a windows user (unless they too have stuffit to stuffit expander of course)?
If you do a search for "zip" at macupdate.com you will find a whole bunch of zip tools, some of which advertise they make windows compatible zip files.  For example BetterZip and WinZip Mac Edition can make windows-compatible zip files.
As I initially mentioned if you have stuffit and the windows receiver has stuffit (or stuffit expander) I don't know why there would be a problem creating a stuffit file on a mac and expanding it on windows (ignoring any possible problems introduced in the method of transmission).

  • How do I open zip files on MacBook Pro?

I've been trying to open .zip files, but when I do, I get a .exe file instead, and I can't open that either, when I do I get a text file with a bunch of random symbols and letters.

.zip is a compressed file of the original, in this case a .exe file which only runs on Windows machines.
Opening it in text edit just allows you to see the code of the program.
So basically throw it away, it's worthless on your Mac.

  • How to download and open zip file

    Download cannot be done

    Hi ratan45,
Does your device support the file type? There are some zip tools in the Google play store that would be helpful with unzipping.
However if it cannot download please try this:
#[http://www.vbaccelerator.com/home/VB/Code/vbMedia/Audio/Lossless_WAV_Compression/Sample_APE_File.asp] click on the sample zip file
    # go to about:downloads and click on the file
    # Select a app that can open zip files on your device (please find one on Google play if you do not have one)
Do you have an example url where this is not happening?

    Hello,
I have created a new simple customized report for PostScript testing, but once I run the request and view the output. It asks to save or open .zip file.
    Any Idea?

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
I have created a new simple customized report for PostScript testing, but once I run the request and view the output. It asks to save or open .zip file. How did you create the report? Please mention the steps.
Is this a concurrent program? If yes, what if you download the output file from the server and open it on the client machine?
    Thanks,

  • Java.util.zip.ZipException error in opening zip file

    Hello all,
We are using Sun Java System web server 6.1 SP2. When I tried to deploy an application, I received this message: "Posted content length of --- exceeds limit of --- " the -dashes are the size of the file actually.
I then added an init-param to the web.xml specifying the maximum size.
After doing that, I tried to deploy the war file using administration interface, but received a network tcp/ip error. I then deployed it using command line wdeploy command. It worked but the web server won't start up after the deployment. The following error messages are found in the log file. Any thoughts as to whats wrong here? Is there a bug in SP2?

ooks like you are running into bug: 4719677
When you deploy a web application using the Administration Server from a
remote machine, the maximum upload size by default is 10 MB. This can be
    changed by editing the
    install-root/bin/https/webapps/instance-app/WEB-INF/web.xml file. In the
servlet webappdeploy, insert an init param named maxUploadSize with a
value in bytes specifying the maximum upload size. Example:
    <init-param>
    <param-name>maxUploadSize</param-name>
    <param-value>90000000</param-value>
    </init-param>
