How to organize 2 opman's and oracle_home path entries on single computer?
I have installed Oracle DB and AppServer on one machine and so - my oracle_home points to DB, but apparently - $oracle_home uses in AppServer config file should point to AppServer home... How to organize the environment path entries on Windows machine?
Now I have 2 opman's as well - can they work together or should I configure and use only one? The problem is that appServer ompan looks for its configuration settings in Oracle DB opman directory and it should be really strange if Oracle can work in such configuration?
What is the good practice in this case?
Well - things are a bit strange now - I looked in registry - and there is no Oracle at ell (there is only some classes registered and some 'Oracle' can be found in other non-relevant locations)... - well - is this due to fact that I am using Oracle for Vista? Well - DB is working correctly (as it has support for Vista), but AppServer fails...
And about scripts - does it mean, that Oracle DB and AppServer cann't work at the same time on the same computer??? Well - some solution could be to put AppServer on Virtual machine... But it is strange anyway, because - as I guess - developer suite will create its own home during installation?
Well - and another strange thing - any newly installed AppServer works correctly - but errors start to appear after trying to restart (stop is done correctly - from command in StartMenu 'stop SOA Suite...')... But this is strange either, because I could see in installation logs that server was restarted several time during installation and installation (of AppServer - on machine that already had DB installed and running) completed without errors.

Sounds like your Mac is not logged into the same iCloud account that your phone is. When Mavericks is installed it prompts you for an AppleID during setup.
Unfortunately and confusingly it then uses that AppleID to help you set up the Apple Store, iCloud, and Messages even though many users do not use the same AppleID for all of those services. This is particularly true of familys that share one AppleID for the "Store" but use separate AppleID's for each users iCloud data.
Therefore, put your iPhone next to your Mac and go to "Settings" > "iCloud". Make sure that the iCloud account listed on your iPhone is the same as the one listed when you go to "System Preferences" > "iCloud" on your Mac. If they match (or not) then click "sign out" on your Mac to disconnect the account. Then, on the Mac (still in the iCloud preference pane), log (back) into the same iCloud account being used on your iPhone and enable the same set of services that are enabled on your iPhone (particularly calendar and contacts).
Then, open the Contacts application on the mac and iCal on the Mac and walk away for a few minutes to allow the data to sync. You may then want to create a test calendar event and change a contact to see if they sync up.
One additional thought is to make sure that your iPhone is set to "Push" for iCloud. That will assure that it's syncing immediately while you are testing this.

How do I remove server os and install normal os? The computer has never been used as a server. I only purchased the server version because of two internal hard drives.

How can I copy my ratings and play count to my new computer?
I am reformatting my computer. Currently all my iTunes songs are saved in the typical iTunes music folder. I also have all my songs backed up on my external hard drive. I really really do not want to lose all my play counts and ratings as that is what a lot of my playlists have been created from. How can I save these settings and transfer them to my reformatted computer?

It works the same way as transferring photos or any other content. Copy the folders from the old computer to a flash drive or an external HD, and then from the drive to the new computer. -
iWeb is not in libraries>application support any more. How can I find my website and move it to a different computer?
In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
Then you will be able to navigate to the Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and get the domain.sites file for copying to the other Mac.

If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
For all other non purchased music (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.

How to organize apps into folders and make them stick in iphone 3gs?
Four hours down the drain! Darn, I decided to finally learn how to organize my apps into folders and do it right. Instead I spent four hours and must have got it wrong.
I opened iTunes on my MacBook with my iPhone attached. Then clicked on the iPhone in the left side list of my iTunes. Then clicked on apps which brought up a nice page with all my iPhone apps listed in one window on the left and all the pages of the apps that are on my iPhone in the window on the right. So far this is what I think the User Manual and Help said to do.
At that point I created new folders by dragging one app over another. For example, I would find a photography app and drag it onto another photography app. That automatically created a folder with the name photography. Just what I wanted. I then looked for more photography apps and dragged them to the folder.
This is not too easy because I had eight pages of apps. At first, I would grab an app on a page and drag it to where I knew the corresponding folder would be and put it into the folder.
Later I found another way was to use the list of my apps on the right to put them in apps.
In the end, from what appeared on the screen, it seemed to me that most of my apps were in folders and the folders were either on page one, two, or three. At that point I thought that I should sync the MacBook with the iPhone, I believe, and did so.
When the sync was finished I took the iPhone off the computer and looked at it. NONE of the folders I created, nor the organization into folders of the apps were on my iPhone!
Obviously, I did something wrong since the same mess was on the iPhone as before, with apps all over the place and impossible to locate without taking too much time. This after four hours of work looking at a 13 in. laptop screen!
What I hope is that someone smarter than me will look at what I did and tell me where I went wrong.
I want the apps on the iPhone to be organized into logical folders so it is easier to find them. Something along the lines of a good database, you know?
Thank you for reading to the end of this question,OK, I spent another afternoon doing the job started yesterday. Last night (could not sleep, so might as well think) I got to thinking that I really must have missed a step or something because all my work was done on the Mac and I did not recall any time when I transferred the new setup with folders to the iPhone.
Sure enough, when I tried it today I did find that missing step. When looking at the Home Page of the iPhone or any page being worked on, in the lower right hand corner two buttons say
SYNC APPLY
I do not recall using the APPLY button on the first day trying this, but I used it this time.
After making changes, I hit APPLY and the computer began to sync with the iPhone.
This time, although there is nothing telling the user what is going on, the sync actually makes the iPhone pages to look exactly like the pages created on the Mac.
Too bad the instructions and help did not say to do things in this way, which is the only correct way, as far as I can tell.
I have about 155 apps on the iPhone, making the job extra lengthy. However, I never could do it on the iPhone’s tiny screen, even though it is possible, so this was good - working on the larger screen of the MacBook.
There are also some (undocumented?) tricks in using the MacBook for this task. For example, it is possible to create a folder and then, using the list of all apps on the iPhone that is on the left side of screen, open the folder, click on the check box next to any app you want to put in the folder and it will jump right in!
If the check box already has a check mark, just click the box to remove it, click again to put the check mark in the box and voila the app takes off for the folder. This also works to just put apps onto a certain page, if you want to do that, but dragging apps around sometimes works better.
I hope it will not be necessary to do this again because of the time involved, and he need for quite a bit of thinking on how to move the apps and folders around to get everything just where you want it on the iPhone. The work reminded me of an old kids game that has a small square case with, I guess eleven movable numbers, that are all mixed up, and one space that is not filled with a number. You can move the little squares with the numbers around inside the case to try to line the numbers up in order from 1-11 and do it faster than anybody else.
Well, unfortunately lining up all my apps was like that because each page of the iPhone only holds 16 folders or apps and each folder is limited to 12 apps. Starting with 155 apps it takes too much mouse maneuvering to make the process easy.
Finally, the automatic folder names are very broad, as in MUSIC, LIFESTYLE, SPORTS and such, so I often just deleted the given categories and put my in my own. Also, some day I may break down the folders more because twelve apps in one folder means the apps are still pretty much out of view.
I wrote this in case anyone else finds it and has the same irksome product. If I just reinvented the wheel, please do not tell me now. -

How to transform a layer object and a path at the same time?

I know I am going to kick myself when you tell me the answer to this!
I would really like to know if there is any way I can manage to to transform both a layer object and a path at the same time....or if there is any workaround to achieve this.
In a nutshell, say for example I spend a VERY long time creating an intricate path around a very detailed object, and then at the very end notice just how crooked and out of perspective it is, and would like to straighten it.
Of course I could transform and correct the object, and then carefully transform the path - but it just won't be exact, and I will have to spend a long time adjusting the path and making SURE it is perfect.
Isn't there any way I could get to transform them together?
Usually of course I do all the correction to straighten and correct perspective beforehand, but in some instances after I am done creating the path I then notice that the image could have used further adjustments.

Once the image is on it's own layer, then we can select the path and then make a vector mask by going to "Layer>Vector Mask>Current Path". Once the vector mask is created, simply click on the image icon on it's layer, then transform away to your heart's content, and the path is transformed along with it. Once finished, the path for the vector mask can be saved as usual. (Don't click on the vector mask icon when transforming the image, otherwise only the path will be transformed.) -

How do I move all photos and catalog (PE 6) from local computer drive to network server drive?
I'm using PE 6. I have about 40 GB of photos all organized and cataloged on my local PC's hard drive. I have just installed a home server that is networked and want to move/migrate all the photos and catalog information/organization from my local PC drive to the home server's hard drive. Basically, just moving everything to a new drive. I then need to point PE 6 to this new location for the photos and catalog information. All advice on how to do this would be appreciated?
I just got done doing this and I'm not so sure I'd recommend it.
#1 reason: The #$%%#$ Organizer has REAL PROBLEMS figuring out network path names. It has this really nasty habit of thinking, say, \\homeserv\photos, \\Homeserv\Photos, and \\HOMESERV\PHOTOS are DIFFERENT paths. And depending on how you use it to navigate, or drag and drop files onto it, or teach it to watch a folder on a network drive or whatever, it uses variants on these kinds of path names. This leads to problems like duplicate imports that are really the same file.
What a ***.
You MIGHT have better luck if you use a mapped drive letter to make this work. Sad. The rules for writing WinApps to NOT NEED mapped drive letters have been common knowledge to developers for a decade. Just not Adobe developers, apparently. Beyond sad. Pathetic. -

You are having kernel panics. The most likely casue for kernel panics is hardware problems usually RAM that has gone bad.
