How to organize video on ipad2

Hi all,
I have the following question:
Is there a way to groups or organize video inside "video" application on iPad2?
For example all cartoon under a "folder" and tv series under another group.
Now in video I have a list of any kind of movie not categorized.
thanks
Paolo

These are user-to-user forums, they are not monitored by Apple (there are too many forums/threads/messages for that to happen). If you want to leave feedback for Apple then you can do so here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html
But with iOS 5+ installed you can now copy photos into new albums that you've created directly on the iPad

  • How to transfer video in ipad2's Video App to Mac/PC?

    Hi,
My friend who borrowed my ipad2 for quiet sometime, has made and inserted a special thanks video into the Video app in my ipad.
This ipad is synced to his computer all along.
And now, when i want to do a backup to my own computer, i couldnt figure out how to transfer that particular video.
I've tried using iPhoto, This could only detect and copied the videos that shown in Photos App - Camera Roll.
When i try to 'Tick' the Sync Videos/Movies from iTunes, it says that all music and videos that is currently in my ipad will be removed.
    Thus I cancel this option.
I really wanted to keep a copy of this video before i pass this ipad for my family.
Is there any way for me to do this video transfer to either Mac or PC platform as long as it works?

I can't figure out how to remove videos from YouTube using ipad2? Is there any way?

I'm sorry, but there is not. You just have to access your account online. From there, go to "Your Videos" then check mark each video you would like to remove, then select "Delete" to remove. Hope this helps!

How to transfer video from macbook to ipad2

    Haryati-
I found your question while researching another one on the same topic.  I found it hard to believe that iPad videos could not be transfered to a computer!
I made a short video on my iPad 2.  It showed up in the Photos camera roll.
Running iPhoto and connecting the iPad to my Mac Pro, I selected the iPad under DEVICES.  The video was at the end of the photos, I selected it and clicked on "Import Selected".  I then dragged the imported video to my desktop and it played in QuickTime Player when I double-clicked it.
Then I tried it with Aperture.  The dragged copy appeared to play in QuickTime Player, but the screen was black.  However an Exported Version played correctly.

  • How to export video without modification

So it appears that the new iPhoto 9.5 modifies video files when exporting, even when you choose "original." I like to backup my original files without any modification. Images don't seem to be modified, but videos are; the timestamp changes and the size is smaller. Has anyone figured out an easy way to export/backup without modifying the original video files?
I've tried going into the iPhoto library and just backing up manually from there, but Apple has once again modified the file structure of the library so it's hard to figure out if you're getting all the files, or even what date you're getting. It seems to separate it by month and date of import, but not the date the actual image/video was taken.
I liked the old version where you just select a range of images/videos in iPhoto and export the originals to a backup drive without any modification.
Here's a screenshot of how it organizes the files in the library. Kind of a mess.

With past versions, when you exported as "original," it wasn't actually exporting a new file; it was copying the original file to a new location. So you were getting a bit-for-bit copy of the original. It appears to still do that with images—the copied file has the same datestamp and size as the original. By "datestamp" I mean the date you see on the file in Finder, not the embedded Exif info.
But with videos, the new version is modifying the original, making it a smaller file size, and changing the file's datestamp. If I choose "original," I should be getting a direct copy of the original, but I'm not. Instead I'm getting a modified version of it. And given the filesize change, I'm assuming it's a compressed version.
I know direct access to the library isn't supported. It's the Apple way to keep stuff like that hidden. But in the past, if I wanted to, I could view package contents and get to files I needed much more easily than the new version allows.
I'm just trying to find an easy way to back up the original video file, not a modified version of it.

  • Elements Organizer video rotation

    Hello,
some of my videos are aligned in the wrong direction. But if I open them with quicktime I do not need to rotate them - quicktime shows them correct.
So how do I change this in Elements Organizer. Or is there a way to use quicktime to play the videos?

    Mark2801
How are these videos presenting in the Elements Organizer - landscape orientation when shot portrait or portrait orientation when shot landscape?
What version of Premiere Elements and Elements Organizer are you working with and on what computer operating system is the program running on?
Elements Organizer thumbnails are just that and these thumbnails trace back to originals saved to a computer hard drive location. What is orientation of the video as seen on the computer at the video hard drive save location?
Are these videos recorded with a cell phone? If so, how have you held the cell phone during the camera's video recording?
If you were to import these same videos directly into the Premiere Elements workspace, how do they present orientation-wise?
    More later.
Looking forward to your follow up.

  • How to organize my photos in albuns and sub-albuns?

    Hi,
I have Windows PC and wanted to know how to organize my photos in folders and sub-folders inside the Ipod.
By sincronizing Ipod with a specific folder of your hard disk, all images are updated, but sub-folders are ignored. For instance, if you sinc the My Photos folder:
    c:\My Photos\2004\Family
    c:\My Photos\2004\Friends
The Family and Friends photos will be cast together, because Ipod only sees one sub-level (the 2004 folder). Can anyone help with this? I tried the Photoshop Album, but I didn't manage to understand this program!
    Thanks!

As far as I know your only option is either Adobe Album or Photoshop Elements. (Not Album SE or a trial version)
Once you've got your photo's imported, there are two tabs on the righthandside, tags and collections (? - I have a non-english version). Create a new collection and drag photo's on it or rightclick on a photo and select "Add to collection..."
Now when you use iTunes to sync photo's from Adobe it will show the collections you've made and each collection you synchronise will show up with a separate name on your ipod.

  • How to organize 250hrs of footage?

    Dear FCPX users,
at this moment I'm capturing hundreds of hours of my VHS-archives. All of those contain registrations of live performances and I want to save and edit the best parts. The biggest challenge will be how to organize in such way, that I'll be able to group similar subjects and themes. Each VHS-tape is between 1 and 4 hours long. When I'm done capturing the tapes, there will be approx 75 videos with a total duration of 250 hours.
I am aware that an event of 250 hours isn't anything new, but the peculiarity is the duration of each file, which makes it a chore to look at in the event window.
What I would like to to is go through each video in a timeline, cut and delete the bad parts, tag the good stuff. In the event the keywords should appear and when selected, only the parts tagged with that keyword should appear, NOT the full video of which some part or parts are tagged with that keyword. How can that be achieved?
In the end I'd love to trim the project (like in Premiere) only to keep the good parts, which will be 10% or probably less.
Thanks in advance for any help.

…And what am I doing wrong if I see the full video (tiny selections within those 4 hours) instead of the selections only?…
then, you do look at the Event, not at the keyword-collection..

You should really get familiar with the awesome organizing tools of FCPX before launching such a large project.
Another excellent advice can be found here

Title is a bit funny … but working with tags, keywords and smart-collections is real fun!!
is it possible to cut in the timeline, tag the remaining parts of the clip and see those tags in the event?
any used parts are tagged automatically as <cough> used, which for sure you can set as (part of) a filter for some smart-collection.
But the recommended workflow is, to tag first in the Events-browser, and switch then to your Project.
Tagging is done much faster, more flexible and detailed, just 'better' in a step before editing.

  • How to organize assets in Adobe Audition

I've been exporting my Premiere Pro sessions to Audition for mixing and have liked the flexibility of what Audition can do.  But I've also been completely baffled by how one organizes assets in an efficient way (such as using folders or bins like in After Effects or Premiere).  I'm only editing a :60 trailer and I'm getting lost trying to find the files I need.  I can't imagine trying to do audio-post on a short film (or god forbid any kind of feature) if this option doesn't exist.  I've googled around and have found people asking this questions since 2009, with none of them answered.
Sometimes this sort of thing happens and I'm pleasantly surprised that there's an easy option I somehow missed.
Often times, I'm convinced that if Adobe built automobiles like it makes software, the cars would have no turn signals or headlights.
I'm afraid we have a "headlight" moment here.  Please, someone prove me wrong.
    Thanks for any help.

Yes, the over-arching project, and the organisation of assets into bins is the making of Premiere.  All the audio files I use in my Premiere projects have been edited in Audition, using the round trip method from within Premiere.  With care I can put the extracted audio files from Premiere within my Windows folder structure for the video project.  Left to itself, Audition puts them in an obscure corner of my User folder within the Windows installation - the last thing I want in there is multi-megabyte audio files.
I have often wondered how you guys who work primarily with audio and no attached video cope with project organisation.  Even with my Premiere based use of Audition, a project/"bin" based structure for Audition would be very useful.  This is because I extract the audio from all my video files, and then work exclusively in Audition.  Finally, when the audio edit is done, I import my nice clean audio files back into Premiere.

  • Is it possible to organize videos in iPad?

How can I organize videos (and I assume, events also) so that that they show up in the  iPad in chronological order according to the date they were shot?

I tried and it work very well. I downloaded "any video converter" and is awesome it will convert your video to any format you want. Not only video, but also for audio and mobile formats as well. Then I just have to drag the video once it finish to movies on iTunes and done. It's super fast I cannot believe how fast it converts your video no matter how big it is. I tried the other way around, "advance- convert to aac." but it didn't work out because my video was not on iTunes, but on my computer's hard drive. Anyways, thank you so much for the help it was very helpful.

  • Importing video into ipad2 iMovie

How do I import videos into ipad2?

And yet just another example of how apple-centric limitations frustrate even the simplest functions.  If I can import a video directly into my iPad from my "non-apple" camcorder, and play it... Then I shouldn't have to use iTunes on another computer to not only covert the file, but to import it as well so that iMovie can "see" it!!!
This even happens when using garage band ON MY IPAD then trying to use the music I created in I Movie ON MY iPAD!!!  You have to save the music to iTunes then connect to a laptop then import the music back to your iPad.
    This is CRAZY!!!!!!!
Apple... Get your act together and make all this stupid crap stop... PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Samsung Galaxy anyone?  While the video editing app isn't as good as iPad yet, the comparability and functionality blows iPad out of the water... You can actually save to folders!  Watch out apple google is hot on your a$$
