How to orient video vertically on pc?

I took videos with the phone/camera in a vertical position. When I downloaded them to my pc in Zune, they play sideways. Is there a way to reorient the videos other than by taking all videos with the camera in horizontal position?

SMPlayer is another free video player that will let you rotate or flip the video. I had been using VLC, but I like SMPlayer much more. The option in SMPlayer to rotate or flip is so easy to access that it takes about one or two seconds to find and access it. Also, SMPlayer will remember the settings you used for playback of 'x' number of videos [I don't remember how large 'x' is]

AviDemux is so feature rich that it's a little overwhelming, while Format Factory has a smaller learning curve. I'd describe the differences between the two of them in the extensiveness of features as being like Microsoft WordPad versus Microsoft Word.
Virtualdub, which is mentioned in the thread you cited, is sooooooooo loaded with features and options that it blew my mind and I gave up on trying to use it for encoding and rotating/flipping.

Just called in Apple Care for the same issue. All you need to do is go to the itunes file scroll down to the bottom where you will see the cammand Transfer purchases from " insert your name"iphone. It will automaticly download your purcases to itunes and place it under Purchases,it will also place the movies and shows in the apropriate folders in itunes. In addition there will also be an additional folder under Store in itunes that will list the purchases under the device it was puchased under for example Purchased on Pinkiesipone

You must enable iTunes Match on the new computer. Hello, I've only had my ipod for a few weeks now. I've finaly figured out how to rip dvds/encode them, etc. During this trial and error period I was putting all kinds of junk in my itunes library.
My question is how to remove videos from my itunes library.

I've been using a dvd ripper and video converter made by Xilisoft. After I import the movie from my pc to itunes video library and ipod, I've noticed that the audio doesn't match up with the video. Its like watching a poorly dubbed kung fu movie. Has anybody used Xilisoft software and had the same problems? If so, what did you do to recify the problem?

OK, I finally figured it out. I still don't have the clear option available. I had to double click on video, highlight, then press delete.
I'm curious why I don't have a clear option like I do in library.
Oh well, at least I can delete old files from my itunes now.

Well the only way I know how to put ANYTHING on there is ZOON and ZOON DOES NOT HAVE AN OPTION IN IT FOR EBOOKS THAT I CAN SEE.

I still don't understand how to get video on my iPhone-HELP!

I have an iPhone and a iPod Classic and I just can't figure out how to get video on my either device, nothing I do works. I'm not talking about buying movies, etc from iTunes, I'm referring to videos I already have on my computer, converting them to the appropriate file extension (which I still have no idea what that is) and then where do I put these videos on my computer in order for iTunes to recognize them and pull them in?
I wish these devices were simplier to work with, where they acted as hard drives and you could just drag and drop what you wanted where and play them. But of course it has to be more complicated then this because Apple wants to control the users experience (sound familiar?)...I'm an advanced computer user and I have to admit that I'm embarrassed by the fact that I can't figure this out.
If anyone can give me SIMPLE instructions and a program to use to do video converstions I would appreciate it.

Im not going to be a great help as im on OS X, bit Ill have a go:
For a number of reasons, iTunes and the iPod/iPhone only support a handful of types of video file. Mainly a file type called .mp4 which is normally h.264 with embeded metadata. This isnt a special Apple video file, and as long as it doesnt have DRM, can be played on many modern devices such as the Xbox360, PSP, PS3 etc.
The only limiting thing you have to watch out for is the resolution of the video as some devices will not be able to play the higher resolution content such as a 1080p HDTV stream on an iPhone, it just wont play!
So what you need to do, if you have videos in many different file types such as realplayer, wmv, and avi etc, you need top convert them to mp4, and then optionally add cover art and tag the file with show name etc.
None of this is built in, partly because Apple wants you to buy content rather than get it elsewhere, and partly as itts a little more complicated than making an mp3 at the moment.
On my Mac I use a program called Handbrake (free) that can rip from DVD to an iphone version, and a program called VisualHub that can convert just about any video type to iphone format. After encoding the video, i use a program called MetaX to correctly tag the video fiels so that they are easy to find in iTunes and so that I can make smart playlists etc. Do this and the files in iTunes act just like if you had purchased them from the store.
Now, I dont know whats good for Windows, but I did a google search and found this which is free and for Windows:

I have to send my ipod back to have it fixed or replaced and Some of the videos I put on my ipod I deleted out of I tunes because my computer has a lack of space for all of it. I told the representative on the phone this and she told me someone online could tell me how to get videos off of my ipod and back on to my computer.
