How to overcome sharing violation???

hi all,
i have a database file that is displayed in the browser, when i close the connection and replace the database file with a new one, i get a sharing violation error, the file is still in use .
is it possible to overcome the sharing violation? Does it mean that the file is still being locked??

I have only one dbf file and a type 4 JDBC driver used to establish a connection to it,
The browser displays the content of the dbf file, when the browser is still active, i want to copy a new dbf file to overwrite the original file, and it says a sharing violation.
I dont understand why the JDBC-ODBC bridge doesnt have such problem, i can overwrite the dbf file when the browser is still active.
Does it mean that the table ( which is the dbf file here) is still locked?
When can be the lock released?
i use the code con.close to close the connection and set it to null con=null

How to remedy sharing violations when saving an AS3 file.

Since installing Flash CS4 (I previously had CS3) I've had a rather annoying problem that is really cutting into my productivity.
If I 'Test Movie' or 'Debug Movie' and then switch back to my actionscripting window and make changes and then try to save without closing the movie, I receive a sharing violation notification. I then have to close the movie and wait for at least 3 seconds after doing so before a save will succeed without giving a sharing violation.
I know that doesn't sound like much, but when you do it hundreds of times in a day it really eats up time and interrupts workflow.
Anybody know how to remedy this? I've tried creating fresh AS3 files in fresh locations but to no avail. I can find no similar references to it using google.

Sharing Violation in DreamWeaver CS6

Hi there,
I am experiencing a 'sharing violation' message in Dreamweaver CS6 when using a web development tool - Mixture. http://www.mixture.io
Basically, when i try to save files in dreamweaver, whilst mixture is running, I get a message saying:
I can eventually save the file, but only because the original file that i was trying to save gets deleted somehow.
Having looked around google, and these communities, it seems this is a common problem with Dreamweaver.
Anyone have any ideas how to stop these type of sharing violations ? - I am using wamp as a local server for development with apache 2, and php.

I've tried the suggestions in the posts by yourself, and your colleague - unfortunately none have worked:
removing any temp files
searching for hidden files
turning off synchronisation
recreating cache,
turning off cache
turning off indexing on folders
turning off library options in windows explorer.
I still get sharing violation errors - it seems to be a common thread with Dreamweaver. Perhaps it's something that needs to be changed for the windows version.

Hi,
This is a known issue in CS4 and it's a huge pain in the rear. One way to reduce this is to not use the preview (F12 ) function but brows directly to the page in your browser to preview it. This doesn't totally get rid of this but it reduces it. Also, when trying to FTP your files up, and Dreamweaver gives you the "file transfer incomplete" message, have a standard FTP app handy - it will upload the files with our issue, even though DW can't seem to get it done.
This is a major problem with CS4 - I don't know if it tied in to Vista's insane user security system or what, but I hope that they solve this issue either in an update or at least in the next release.

While modifying a DW template, I suddenly began receiving
sharing violation error messages which disallow saving the file and
thus, updating the html pages based on the template. As I am the
only one to use the program, I consider this some sort of
glitch--any idea how to get around it (in preferences or
elsewhere?)?

That's because IE doesn't know what to do with a *.dwt file,
since that
extension only means something to DW. Enable preview with
temp files in
your PREFERENCES, and then you'll be able to preview OK.

First, have I mentioned that I LOATH Windows Vista with every
fiber of my
being!
On to the problem at hand.
I'm in Dreamweaver and I edit, then preview a file. Next I
edit it some more
and then try to save it - but cant. I get an alert stating
that there is a
sharing violation because the file is being used by another
program, and it
just stays this way, even if I shut the browser down. even if
I restart
Dreamweaver it's still locked. The only way I can get it to
let go is to
totally reboot!
Has anyone else run into this? Found a solution?

I don't use OpenOffice (I have it on my internal just to play around with, but seldom even open it). I do use MS Word and have few problems sharing files - it's usually a font issue so I tend to use MS fonts for documents that I know will need to be shared.
Unless you need to make collaborative changed to the document, you could always save it as a pdf file. With Acrobat Pro you can even save a pdf file to a Word document with very little change in formatting.
If I were you - and you have a need for .doc or .docx files to travel and play nicely - I'd just invest in MS Office. If you don't have to send a Word file, try pdf.

It's not possible to add custom templates to the Create New Form tab, but you can export your form design and share that with your colleague.
1. Open your form in the Design view
2. Click the File > Export Design File... menu item
3. Save the .fcdt file

20896 Cluster Sharing violation

I only have one node in a cluster built so far, and when I reboot it, all the
cluster resources come up, but 2 volumes don't actually mount. They are both in
the same Pool, the pool gets activated, and the cluster resource says running,
but the volumes aren't active or mounted.
upon investigation, the device is not shareable for clustering (which I thought
I did when I created the partitions/pools/volumes, but I guess not). When I try
to enable the device for cluster sharing, I get a 20896 Cluster sharing
violation.
Any ideas on how I can make this sharable for clustering (for when I get the
other node up) or at least make sure they activate when the resource loads?

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
* Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
* Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
* Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

You can go into settings and turn sharing off in the programs on the device you don't want to share too.

Sharing Violation error when inserting a table

Hi Everyone.
I know this question has been asked before but no one seems to have a working solution.
We have Macromedia MX (6.1) installed on a room with windows 7 on all the computers, on a server 2008 network, connectiing to a server 2003 user area server. It seems to work fine until you try to insert a table which is different to the default options. It then throws up a sharing violation error to do with the table.htm file under the Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\Objects\Common\ folder. The program then closes. The things I have tried to get this working so far are -
uninstall and reinstall
deletion of the Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\ folder
changing location of Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\ folder from network drive to local drive
making sure the user has complete ownership of the folder and the file in question. They do
checking the same problem exists with an adminstrator account and a normal user account. It does.
having the user log on to a windows XP machine connecting to the same server with the same log on account. This works fine! So almost certainly a problem with Windows 7.
runnning the dreamweaver program as administrator
changing where the site is saved to.
Im really all out of ideas. Yes i know that its an old version and the newer versions work a lot better, but this is all we have at the moment.

According to the description, you were not able to save the workbook after you typo some VBA code. Which version of Office are you using? Are you save it manully?
Based on my understanding, this issue is not realtive to the code and it maybe a know issue about Office 2007. You can fix it via link below:

The latest update has resulted in a runtime error (R6034) and I keep being told Microsoft Visual C Runtime Library is being accessed incorrectly. Anyone know how to overcome the problem? I am using a Dell Inspiron 9400 running Vista.

The latest update to itunes has resulted in a whole series of runtime errors (R6034). Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library states it is being accessed incorrectly. I am also told that Apple Mobile Device Failed to Start. Additional messages suggest the error is in itunes.exe and ituneshelper.exe. I also get Error 7 (Windows error 1114). Anyone got any ideas how to overcome this (these) problems?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.
