How to overwrite channels in diadem 9.0

Wie kann man in Diadem 9.0 Kanäle manuell oder per VBS-skript überschreiben?

Hi WBH,
I fear that I do not fully understand your question. If you drag the channels you're interested in from the Data Portal into a table in the new VIEW panel, you will see the data much like it was displayed in the old DATA "Channel Contents" tab. At this point you can double-click on one of the table cells and type in a different value, thus interactively overwriting values of an existing channel.
You can do the same thing programmatically without having to create a VIEW table. In fact, nothing has changed programmatically-- the ChD() and ChDX() functions still work just like they used to. In addition to the DIAdem 8.x style channel number/name addressing
[ ChDX(50, 12) ] or [ ChD(50, "Revs") ]
you now also have the option of addressing cha
nnels by their group name and channel name
[ ChD(50, "Engine Measurements/Revs") ]
Note that the ChDX() command can ONLY take channel numbers, while the ChD() command can take either channel numbers, channel names, or the new Group/Channel names referencing. Also note that the ChDX() function is MUCH faster.
Let me know if that did not answer your question,

  • How does DIADEM import TDMS files? How gets every channel his number and groupindex? How can I determine which channel has which groupindex and number?

I store different channels in a TDMS file.
I like to have a time channel at the first position with group index 1 and number 1.
When I read the TDMS file with DIADEM the time channel (Float64) is on a differernt position, and the channels are not sorted alphabetically.
    Here are my questions:
How does DIADEM import TDMS files?
How gets every channel his number and groupindex?
How can I determine which channel has which groupindex and number?
    Best regards
    Joerg

    Hi Jörg,
i suppose that you´re programme whose create the *.tdms file is writing on false position. Try to create datas with timechannel on first indes in diadem, then save it and then open it again. you see that all is correct. So please tell me what programm in what version do you use and please attache it here.
Did you use the library for creating *.tdms files like in the link ?
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/6471
Here you find the gtdms_8.x.zip - when you extract it and opened the *.llb you find vi´s for all functions e.g. writing 2d array of strings to *.tdms file
when you open the subvi´s then you see how created and writing datas/structure to *.tdms files. Because *.tdms is binary you can´t see structure with open it in editor.
When you don´t have Labview you can use the 30 days test of current version 8.5 under following link

  • How to set a specific time zone for time channel in DIADEM

    Hi,
I'd like to know how to autmatically set a specific time zone for time channels in DIADEM.
For example, I have stored data with corresponding time channel in UTC time on a disk which was collected in another time zone. Now I want to analyze this data and I want the time channel to show the local time in the time zone where the data was collected, and not the time in the local time zone where the computer is located.
The time channel should also take site local summer/winter time into account. Now I'm running a script that handles it for me which adds or subtract hours according to my input. The problem is that I'm handling data from several different time zones and I'm not located in any of them and when you're running a lot of data over a greater time period, it's easy to make mistakes, especially when it comes to summer/winter time. Is there a any clever solution to this already implemented in Diadem that I have not found?

    Hi hj77,
No, I'm sorry, DIAdem has no time zone functionality at all.  I'm afraid you have no choice in DIAdem but to keep running your scripts.  Summer and Winter time are truly tricky, because the rules for when the changes occur are different in different countries and states within countries and also can change from year to year within the SAME country (as they did in the US a few years ago).

  • How to enable Channel 13 on WET54g

I am using it in Europe and need to enable channel 13 so I can connect to a network on this channel.  I vaguely remember being told this was done by accessing a hidden setup page.  Can anyone tell me how to enable channel 13 on a WET54g V3.1?

    >> Generally, devices bought in the U.S. can only be used in the U.S.
This seems to me like poor and outdated policy. It reminds of times when you could not take a laptop to Europe because the power supply was only for 110 V.  Most manufacturers have moved to simplifying things for the customer and for themselves by making models more universal.
    >> Flashing other firmware may brick the device. You can never rule that out.
    >> Flashing European firmware should not cause problems.
    >> Possibly it won't accept it but usually hardware versions between countries are identical.
You say it should "not cause problems" but "may brick the device". I would consider a bricking the device to be a "problem".  I guess I can interpret it to mean that damage is unlikely but possible.  It gives me pause as I do not want to risk bricking it.
The device label says it is WET54g V 3.1  At the US site http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/bridges/WET54G the choice for hardware version only goes up to V 3.0. Puzzling.
At the European site http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-eu/support/bridges/WET54G/download I found support for version 3.1. Interesting and puzzling since my 3.1 is American.
There, in the EU site, I found a file named WET54Gv3_1_v2d16.zip which contains two files:
    - wet54gv3_v2d16_us_20091027.img
    - wet54gv3_v2d16_ce_20091027.img
There is no explanation in the release notes of which one to use. The names differ only in two characters: us/ce.  I would assume "us" is for USA but what would "ce" be? I was expecting something like "uk" or "eu".  I am guessing the ce version is for Europe but I want to be sure before I start messing.  I have never flashed anything and I have no idea of the degree of risk involved.
You can reload it with this firmware wet54gv3_v2d16_ce_20091027.img.

I have mountain lion 10.8.4 and want to find how congested are channels 1-13 on my router.  How do I do this please?

I'd suggest you get WiFi Explorer from the Mac App Store. For only $3.99 I find it well worth the cost for the ease of use and better info in relation to the built-in tools.

  • How to extract channels names from PhotoShop-written TIFFs?

    Hi,
Does anybody know how to extract channel names from PhotoShop-written TIFFs? (I'm really asking about spot color channel names, as basic channel names, such as "Red," "Green," "Blue" or "Cyan," "Magenta," "Yellow," and "Black" can obviously be derived from the color space tag.)
There's some XMP data in those TIFFs, but manual inspection does not seem to reveal channel names. So, this may not be an XMP question, after all. There's also a larger (for metadata) data block associated with a private (Adobe) tag, which could contain the information. It's binary, though, and I wouldn't know how to crack it open.
The data must be present somewhere in the file, as PhotoShop will show the channel names on re-open of the TIFF.
    There's a TIFF/IT TIFFTAG_INKNAMES tag, which PhotoShop doesn't utilize.
    Any pointers greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Oliver

Solution is to speak to Adobe directly and receive confidential info.

  • How many DMA Channels does my device have?

I would like to know how I can find out (progammatically) how many DMA channels my device has. I am using the DAQmx driver. Other than with the traditional DAQ I can't find out anything about my device but the "type" and the "serial number". Where can I get some more details about the device (not in the MAX - I want to know it in my program) with DAQmx?
My intention is to find out how many DMA Channels the device has and depending on how many Channels I need - I am using "interrupts" instead of DMA.
Somewhere in the KB of Ni was written that the NI-DAQ 6.9.... realizes automatically how many DMA Channels are available and how many I would need - and so he takes "interrupts" for the rest.
It seems that they did a "step bac
kwards" because with the NI-DAQ 7.2 it doesn't work automatically if I need DAQmx VI's.
Does somebody know anything that would help me to solve this problem?
    Thanks.

Sorry! I posted my first revision of the answer.
Here is what I meant to say:
    Hello,
According to this KnowledgeBase, DAQmx and Traditional DAQ behave the same. Are you seeing something different?
As far as a workaround goes, all you have to do is trap the No DMA error. This error should be -200251. So in software, if you receive error -200251, then you need to configure the board to use interrupts, and then start the task again.
How to configure the board for interrupts differs from the four different DAQmx APIs (C, C++, DotNET, and LabVIEW). If you are unclear about how to do this in your environment, please let us know, and we can find
    out.

how can left channel audio be put on right side? or made into mono track as a work around?

The Loop browser and the track have a fixed size. You can only hide the Loop Browser by pressing the Loops button in the footer to make the time line longer.
Or drag the resize corners to enlarge the GarageBand application window. Have you set your display to the maximum possible resolution in the for your screen in the System preferences > Display?
If you have only a small 13" screen, try to resize the GB WIndow beyond the bounds of the screen by pushing the trackheads beyond the left border and dragging the right resize corner.

  • Date and Time channels in Diadem files

I'm developing a tool to convert data files from or own format to Diadem data files format, producing a header (.dat) and a binary file (.r64).
From my source data files, I have to convert a date channel and a time channel. Is there a way to store such channels in binary format (in the .r64 file) ?
I got the GFS's pdf "Description of the Data formats and File set properties", but I didn't find any info about binary date or time channels.
    Thanks for help.

    Michel,
The starting point is 01.01.0000 at 00:00:00. This time/date is the value '0'. The DIAdem time channels will be accurate until at least 12/31/2078, starting at 10/15/1582. This is due to changes made to the Gregorian calendar made back in 1582 concerning leap years.
Today (04/18/2202) at 1:00:00 PM (13:00:00 military time) would be the value 6.31862676E+10. This number represents the number of seconds that have passed since 01.01.0000 at 00:00:00.
DIAdem provides two functions to convert numbers into time data and time data into numerical data. They are TTR (time to real) and RTT (real to time). The DIAdem help system contains additional information on how to use these functions.
Let me know if there is any additional information I ca
    n help you with.

  • Generating a data channel in Diadem 6.0

I would like to generate a data channel to represent a x/y curve. e.g.:
    x: 0.1/0.2/0.3/0.5/0.9
    y: 1/3/10/11.5/15
How can i do this and how can i use these datas in different autosequences?
The next question is: how can i control with these datas an analog output?

    Hi,
If the values you would like to generate are equidistant or can be build with a mathematical algorithm you can use a lot of different DIAdem functions like CHNGENVAL, CHNSPLINEXYCALC, CHNMAPLINCALC etc.. But in your case I can't see something like this, so you must set each value in the channel (see example below)
    ChnAlloc('TestChannel', 5);
    chd(1, 'TestChannel') := 0.3;
    chd(2, 'TestChannel') := 1.2;
    chd(3, 'TestChannel') := 2.8;
    chd(4, 'TestChannel') := 3.3;
    chd(5, 'TestChannel') := 3.7;
To use this in different Autosequences store it as a separate file and call it with the command AutoInclude.
With the Block DAC->Simulation inputs->Channels you can read any DIAdem channel and use it to set the output values.
I hope this will help you a little b
    it.
    Greetings
    Walter

  • DAC: How to read channel Data

How can I read Values from  Diadem-Datachannels to DAC?
There is a control "Channel Data" ("Simulation Kanal" in german release). It can read data from channels with a clock-signal.
How can I reset the read-pointer to the first channel-entry without restarting DAC?
How can I read arbitrarily data from a channel.
Is there a completly different way to do that?
    Martin Bohm
    [email protected]

    online erfolgen

  • How can I use the Diadem FFT Analysis GUI to give me multiple outputs given multiple inputs?

I have a few hundred channels I would like to perform FFT analysis on. They are mostly of different lengths, but I know I will have groups of 7 that will have the same number of data points. The default GUI will accept those 7 sets since they are the same size, but it will only give me one output as a combination of the sets. Is there a way to get Diadem to give me an FFT output for each set without having to select each data set individually?

The way it worked with the default channels, I had to make sure I wasn't going crazy because the way you demonstrated worked very well for me. That being said, for some reason what I am doing does not work. I've recently found that it is in changing the details in the GUI that makes my output different than yours. The differences are as follows:
    1) I do not use a time channel. That is always left blank.
    2) in the 'Window Functions' tab, I change the window type to Hanning
    3) In the 'FFT Functions' tab, only amplitude is checked with the properties 'Peak amplitude', No Third/Octave, and Average amplitude is changed to arithmatic.
    4) In the 'Time Intervals' tab 'Length/Start/Overlap' is checked, Interval length is changed to 1024, and overlap (%) is changed to 50.
I've also found that changing any number of these details from the default will cause my proplem to crop up. I am fairly sure that most of those options are just as feasibly done to one channel as they are to multiple. Is this a bug, or am I misunderstanding a property of FFT that has gone over my head? Please try changing a few of those properties since it seems like it should work just as well for all the channels as it does for just one, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Another point of confusion is that while the window previewing the inputs in the GUI will show all the inputs I have selected, the window previewing outputs only appears to preview a single unknown output. That is just a side note though.
