How to pass HTML radio group value to an SQL query

I need to display a radio group in Printer Friendly Mode so that when the value in the radio group changes the page is submitted and the report is updated to the new value.
I can't use a standard APEX radio group item as it renders in disabled mode when the page is in printer friendly mode.
I have therefore used a standard HTML radio group in a HTML region as follows:
<div id="radio_bank" align="left" class="NonPrintable">
<input type="radio" name="bank" value="Trial Bank"> Trial Bank
<input type="radio" name="bank" value="Tissue Bank" checked> Tissue Bank
<input type="radio" name="bank" value="Temporary Bank"> Temporary Bank
<input type="radio" name="bank" value="All"> All
</div>
I have set up a dynamic action to submit the page on change event. This works but it navigates me to a "Page cannot be found " error page. I have an unconditional branch defined on the current page but this is ignored.
Questions
1) can a standard APEX radio group appear in Printer friendly mode? - This would solve my problem.
2) how to submit the page using the above scenario to render the current page (dynamic action)
3) how to capture the selected value of the radio group and pass it to SQL where clause
thanks in advance

  • How to pass the bind variable value to the sql statement of the LOV

    Hi,
    I am using Forms 10g builder.
    I have a text item which will be populated by a LOV when i press a button, but i have a bind variable in the SQL statement of the LOV. That bind variable should be replaced by a value which is derived from a radio group in the same data block.
    For Ex: ( )radio1 ( )radio2
    before i click on the push button, I'll select one of the radio button above,so my question is how to assign this radio group value to the bind variable in the sql statement in the LOV?
    Pl any hint is appreciated!
    Thanks
    Reddy

    The variable can be taken into account in the SELECT order contained in the Record Group used by the LOV.
    e.g. Select ... From ... Where column = :block.radio_group ...Francois

  • How do I Send in a value to the SQL Query Expression's variable created using Declare in Power Query

    I have gone through the other posts where in a parameter is sent to query created by power query but my ask is a bit different.

  • How to pass Multi and Singlr value Parameters to DB2 query, which is using in SSRS report for ODBC connection

    Hi Guys,
    I am using DB2 database in SSRS. I have to pass Single Value and Multi Value Parameters. I tried with Select * From DB2Table Where
    Column=@PRM_Name Or Select * From DB2Table Where
    Column=:PRM_Name . It is not working and throwing error. Please help me out.
    Connection Details: ODBC
    Thanks Shiven:)

    Hi SKM,
    So you mean to say that Go to DataSource->Add Dataset-> Query Type-Text-> Under Query:
    click on fx (Expression)-> Write this expression
    For Single Value Parameter:
    ="SELECT customer_name, telephone_number, address1, address2, city from MyTable
    WHERE city = '" + Parameters!City.Value + "'"
    OR
    ="SELECT customer_name, telephone_number, address1, address2, city from MyTable
    WHERE city =  '" & Parameters!City.Value & "'"
    Keep it in mind if Parameter is String then
    It should be in Single quote ''.
     Like
    ="SELECT customer_name, telephone_number, address1, address2, city from MyTable WHERE city
    ='Hyderabad' "
    For Multivalu Parameter:
    ="SELECT EmployeeID, FirstName, LastName, LoginID FROM SHIVEN.AUDIT Where FirstName
    in ('" + REPLACE(JOIN(Parameters!City.Value,","),",","','") + "')"
    NOTE:
    If your Parameter is Single Value Parameter and You want to enter string values with Coma (,)
    separated (Like Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi).
    In this case, you have to use below expression.
    ="SELECT customer_name, telephone_number, address1, address2, city from MyTable
    WHERE city IN ('" + REPLACE(Parameters!City.Value ,",","','") + "')"
    OR
    ="SELECT customer_name, telephone_number, address1, address2, city from MyTable
    WHERE city IN  ('" & REPLACE(Parameters!City.Value ,",","','") & "')"
    In above expression: Replace will replace all , with ‘,’ and city IN (‘Hyderabad’, ‘Chennai’,
    ‘Delhi’) will not throw any error.
     Note: You have to write expression in one line in Expression editor for dataset
    query
    Thanks It is working fine but it is tough job if query is big.
    Hi S kumar,
    The above approach we use when we have source like DB2, becasue DB2 has some syntactical differences to pass multivalue paramaeter. I tested and it works good, if i am mentioning the query in above format by using Fx button while creating dataset.
    but if we want fetch data from view which exist in DB2 and we need to call db2 view in SSRS and pass multivalue parameter in a way we did above then could you please mention the steps and way to achieve this.
    Thanks in advance!

  • State machine custom task workflow how to pass one task field value to the next task field

    i am using ItemMetadata.xml to pass value from list to custom task first value its passing the but second value is showing as null
    plus how to pass one custom task value to the next custom task
    i.e one supervisor approver comments submitted field i want to see on department manager approval custom task which is the next approver from supervisor
    ows_firstfield=""
    ows_SecondField=""
    the above ows fields are from list
    in this i am unable to retrive the second value in the task form this is my first query?
    second query is that how can we pass one task field value to next approver task field value?
    any idea
    MCTS,ITIL

    What type of workflow is this?  IS this Visual Studio or SharePOint designer or third party (K2, Nintex, etc...)?  YOu should be able to get ahold of the task that was edited via the correlation token, and then grab any value you want from that
    task (wether it be a custom field or a standard worfklow task field).
    It would help to know what you are using to build the workflow.
    Thanks!

  • How to pass a value into a SQL Query?

    Hi There,
    I want to know if there is a possibility to pass a dynamic value in a sql query. For example I have a currency rate value (ex: rate = 1.319, 2.23 etc) which user wants to input when running the query (The rate is not taken from the system, so I cannot compare to any table column and pass it as a parameter).
    And this rate has to be used in my query to do some calculation. Is this possible? The value :p_currency_rate doesn't work
    Any ideas please?

    ocs.registerOutParameter( 1, OracleTypes.NUMBER, 0);
    Method method = seqNumInstance.getClass().getMethod("getORADataFactory", null);
    seqNumInstance = ocs.getORAData(1, (ORADataFactory)method.invoke(null,null));
    ocs.execute();
    Problem with this seems to be the ORADataFactory isn't a method of the class, but as I'm thumbling around in the dark here a little, I've no idea where to go from here. Is this just generally overkill anyway?
    Suggestions?
    Cheers for any help.

    Like this:
                ResultSet resultSet=statement.executeQuery("SELECT * FROM TEST");
                while(resultSet.next())
                    for(int i=0;i<resultSet.getMetaData().getColumnCount();i++)
                        System.out.print(resultSet.getObject(i+1).toString()+" ");
                    System.out.println();

  • How to get second maximum salary from employee table(sql query)

    how to get second maximum salary from employee table(sql query)

    dude there is no matter of structure .........that user already said its from employee table ...............its basic table in sql and there is no need to specify the table structure
    .........i think u got my point I think you are the one who didn't understand Sarma's point.
    Give a man a fish and you feed him once. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him a life long.
    >
    and the query is
    select max(sal) from emp where sal<(select max(sal)
    from emp);
    this will give the 2nd max salary from the emp tableBtw: You solution is bad, because it needs to scan and sort the table emp twice. And a better solution has been given already.

  • Dynamic action on "Change" of Radio group value

    Hi,
    I'm using Apex 4.1 on XE 11G.
    If I create a simple dynamic action which shows/hides a field on the change of an item of type select list this works great.
    So for example if the value of the select list is 1 then show another field and otherwise hide this other field.
    If I change the type of the first field ( the select list ) to a radio group the dynamic action stops working. It looks like the value of the radio group does not get changed when I click another value in the radio group.
    I'm somehow able to bypass this by using a dynamic action which fires when the radio group is clicked and then evaluatie it's value via JS, but that's not really the ideal solution.
    Is there some basic difference in radio groups and select lists when it comes to storing values and/or dynamic actions which are based on the change event on that item ?
    Regards
    Bas

    Take a look at the Radio group item in HTML DOM using FF/Firebug or IE/DevTools, and you will see the difference.
    If you have neither of the 2 debug tools , time you get one.

  • How to pass tag name and value dynamically in the output of PCo notification?

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to develop such a scenario where there can be multiple no of tags in PCo (Say 10) but there will be single notification to push the tag name when the value got changed and the changed value to MII. for any value change for any of the tag, the notification will be trigger. So As per my knowledge I have to pass the tag name and value dynamically in the "output" tab of the notification. But need your support to find out how to pass them dynamically.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Suman

    Hi Suman/Jeedesh,
    As per Pco notification, it will trigger whenever any of the tag value changes in Agent instance subscription items.
    For above issue, My suggestion
    1. Create DB table name TAGLIST with 200 tags as rows in columns (Tagname, TagValue)
    2. Based on notification trigger, create a transaction and update values w.r.t TagNames in above table
    3. Next time, when notification trigger with fresh value for any of the tag, cross check with existing TagName with Value and update in DB table.
    4. And in the mean time, send those Tag details vie mail trigger or as per requirement
    Instead of creating 200 notification, above is a just alternate way suggestion to achieve dynamic tag value change notification.
    Hope it might solve your problem
