How to pass mapping input paramters to a pluggable mapping?

Hi,
I'm using OWB 10.2.0.3.
How can I pass the mapping input parameters to a pluggable mapping?
I know that I can use the pluggable mapping input signature, but this means I always need a joiner in the pm before I can use the parameter in a filter, for instance. This is not really convenient.
Any help would be appreciated!
Regards,
Carsten.

  • Consuming Web Service ( How to pass multiple inputs and retrieve dataset)

    I am new to ADF and Web service.
    In the current project, I have to consume a web service ( through WSDL).
    Created the pages as per the following tutorials.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18941_01/tutorials/jdtut_11r2_14/jdtut_11r2_14.html
    As per the steps 11, 12 mentioned in the document, I have mutiple fields so I added these code.
    Though in the tutorial, it has zip code as the input parameter, but I have three input parameters such as classCode, annualPayroll & fullTimeEmployees.
    How to include there input parameters which should be passed to the results page once the command button "Calculate" as mentioned below is pressed.
    <p xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <af:commandButton
    text="Calculate" disabled="#{!bindings.calculateBasePremium.enabled}"
    id="cb2" action="show"/>
    <af:setPropertyListener from="#{bindings.classCode.inputValue}"
    to="#{pageFlowScope.classCode}"
    type="action"/>
    <af:setPropertyListener from="#{bindings.annualPayroll.inputValue}"
    to="#{pageFlowScope.annualPayroll}"
    type="action"/>
    <af:setPropertyListener from="#{bindings.fullTimeEmployees.inputValue}"
    to="#{pageFlowScope.fullTimeEmployees}"
    type="action"/>
    </p>
    But JDeveloper is throwing error.
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Questions is how do you pass the variables from the page to the next page.
    I have added code so that when the button command is presses, based on the action event, it will be passed to the next page.
    When I was adding the Listener event for the items for page flow, it was not accepting action and was throwing error.
    Here is the error message:

  • How to pass external input to user-defined subclasses

    Hi all,
    [this might be a really trivial question] I would like to define a sub-

    the following *not-working* example.
    *********************************************************************** import javax.swing.*;

        public Object getValueAt(int row, int column, int externalinput)
            return externalinput;
    What follows is the error message I get, which I assume it is due to
    my "externalinput":

    Thanks for this detail. Before getting into JTable
    etc...design suggestions, it would be helpful to know
    how the interaction between Java and MATLAB is
    supposed to proceed. OK: I'm developing a MATLAB GUI with an embedded JTable inside it: people write things in a user defined JTable (well, customized subclass of JTable).
    I would like to define this subclass not as MyJTable(int rows, int cols) but as MyJTable(int rows, int cols, int externalinput), but doing this gives me the aformentioned error.
    Simplest setting: MATLAB writes data to a file, and
    knowing the format of that file you are able to parse
    it in Java. I'm not using any kind of input or output file: simply, MATLAB calls a JTable subclass (i.e. I only have a .class file to work on).
    Problem arises when I would like to add some more input: I cannot say simply setValueAt(int externalinput) if the JTable can't get this input directly from MATLAB...
    I hope I did make myself a little bit more clear: solution must be trivial, but I'm spending a lot of time in it...
    Thank you very much for your interest.

  • How to pass user input in automator to a variable?

    I want to ceate a workflow/application to
    -create a new folder eg Batch001 in directory B
    -grab a group of folders in directory A
    -and move them to Batch001
    -create an archive of Batch001
    -create a new set of empty folders in directory A
    I thought I had this worked out, and planned to create a small applescript to grab a user input, then pass it to a variable. Figured if I do that at the beginning I can use the variable to create the Batch folder name, which I would enter manually. There will be a number of them, but not hundreds.
    I have an applescript in automator to show a dialog, but ti does not seem to pass anything to the results. Even if I just use a simple dialog no results are passed. If I run it in actionscript editor it shows a result as expected.
    on run {input, parameters}
      --Display Dialog and Get Input
      display dialog "Batch Number?" default answer "BatchXXX"
      --Get Answer & Return Comment
      set input to (text returned of result)
      return input
    end run

    I tried that, but when I run my workflow, it fails and I get an error message: The action “Rename Finder Items” encountered an error.
    Here are a couple of screenshots of my workflow:

  • How to pass RECORD input type to stored procedure from JDBC?

    Hi,
    We have stored procedure which takes RECORD as input .
    We could execute the below script from oracle client tool and get the response.
    declare
    l_record app.batch_update.add_record;
    l_id number;
    begin
    -- memberNumber
    l_record.no := '123456700';
    -- Policy Number
    l_record.pno := '1234567'
    -- Status. This will always be NEW.
    -- Call to API to add record
    app.batch_update.add_request
    (p_record => l_record,
    p_id => l_id,
    end;
    We have requirement to construct RECORD input from Java application and pass it to callable statement.
    We have tried to construct it via STRUCT and pass it to callable statement but it didn't work.
    We have constructed it like the following but not sure whether it is correct. It was throwing error "java.sql.SQLException: invalid name pattern: app.batch_update.add_record
    StructDescriptor structdesc = StructDescriptor.createDescriptor
    ("app.batch_update.add_record", delConn);
    Object[] p1obj = {' 12345','124050'};
    STRUCT p1struct = new STRUCT(structdesc, delConn, p1obj);
    Not sure whether I am doing the logic correctly.
    Please point me to the correct approach.
    Thanks in Advice
    Thanks

    Wrap the method using a record-type parameter in PL/SQL; a simplified example follows. Add exception handling, translation of types etc. as needed.
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE prc_wrap_prc_using_rec
    pv_my_field_01 IN VARCHAR2,
    pv_my_field_02 IN VARCHAR2,
    pv_my_field_99 IN VARCHAR2,
    pv_err_msg OUT VARCHAR2
    ) AS
    -- Non-scalar parameter
    pr_my_record user.pkg_rec_declarations.wr_a_record_decl;
    BEGIN
    -- Load the work record
    pr_my_record.pv_field_01 := pv_my_field_1;
    pr_my_record.pv_field_02 := pv_my_field_2;
    pr_my_record.pv_field_99 := pv_my_field_99;
    -- Call the procedure
    pkg_std_routines.prc_do_sumfin(pr_my_record, pv_err_msg);
    END;

  • How to pass parameter to the Query String of the Named Queries'SQL

    Firstly to say sorry,I'm a beginner and my English is very little.
    Now I want to know
    How to pass parameter to the Query String of the Named Queries'SQL in the Map editor.
    Thanks.

    benzi,
    Not sure if this is on target for your question, but see #5 in the link below for some web screencasts that show how to pass an input text form field value to the bind variable of a view object. If you're looking for something different, maybe provide some more details such as what you are trying to accomplish and what technology stack you are using - for example, ADF BC, JSF, etc.

    Also see section 5.9 and chapter 18 in the developer's guide.
    thanks

  • Mapping Input Parameter renders mapping unable to be compiled or deployed

    Hi there. I have an interesting issue I have not encountered before.
    I can create a new mapping with a Mapping Input Parameter (just one parameter of type Integer), map this to a table column of the same type and the mapping compiles and deploys without any issues.
    However, if I take an existing mapping (which already compiles and deploys without issues), add a Mapping Input Parameter to it (just one parameter of type Integer) and map this parameter through to a table column of the same type, when I compile the mapping I get a pop-up "Warehouse Builder Error" with a number 56 and a red cross. The mapping cannot generate any code and gives no explaination. Trying this on a different mapping causes the same issue but with a different number in the pop-up.
    I have tried changing the parameter from integer to another data type and this makes no difference.
    Removing the Mapping Input Parameter makes the mapping compilable and deployable again.
    Am I missing something here ?
    Thanks
    Paul

    Ok... this could be a bug, but I worked out how to resolve the issue.
    To get the issue:-
    1. Open a mapping which does not have a Mapping Input Parameter and compiles and deploys happily
    2. Add a Mapping Input Parameter object, add an output attribute to it and map it to a table column.
    3. Compile the mapping and you get a "Warehouse Builder Error" pop-up with a number, then a Validation Completed Successfully message. But no code can be generated and the mapping
    cannot be deployed.
    4. Slap your forehead and say "Doh!"
    To fix the issue :-
    1. Open the same mapping
    2. Resynch the tables you mapped the Mapping Input Parameter to. The mapping now compiles and deploys ok.
    3. Pat yourself on the back
    cheers

  • Pluggable Mapping Won't Fully Synchronize

    I'm hoping there is perhaps just a config setting of some kind that governs how a pluggable mapping is embedding in a real mapping that is causing my problems.
    The situation:
    -Mapping A is my actual mapping.
    -Mapping B is my pluggable mapping which implements a whole mess of stuff, including a very large and complex Joiner operator.
    -Mapping A uses pluggable mapping B.
    The problem:
    I recently discovered that I had some errors in the join condition used by the Joiner in pluggable mapping B. I modified the join condition, etc, and saved. I then went into Mapping A and did an inbound sync on the pluggable mapping operator so that mapping A would pick up the changes I made to the join condition in pluggable mapping B.
    Mapping A does not pick up the changes to the join condition when in generates. I have inspected the generated SQL by hand to confirm. I'm now afraid that syncing a pluggable mapping operator only picks up signature changes? But it seems absurd that when using a pluggable mapping in a regular mapping, the internals of the pluggable mapping would get so fully embedded before even generating, and that the only thing you can later change without having to delete and re-add the pluggable mapping operator is the signature?
    Does anyone have any insight? I would really appreciate any thoughts. In reality, this pluggable mapping is used not by one, but by many regular mappings, and implements some really ugly logic that has a very wide input and out signature. So I really want to avoid that obvious solution of having to simply delete the pluggable mapping operator from the main mappings and add it again (which I'm darn sure would work), and have to reattach all the connections. It would take hours and hours.
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    -John

    Well David, I owe you an apology for wasting both our time.
    I have looked at it with a pair of fresh eyes this morning, and the problem was mine. As I think I mentioned in my original post, this pluggable mapping is actually used by a large number of regular mappings (about 15). Each of these regular mappings handle a different step in the loading a primary target table.
    In my confusion, I had missed a sync in one or two, and had apparently been bouncing back and forth between one I had synced, and one I had not when looking at generated code. This caused me to think the syncing and generation were not occurring properly.
    Too many late hours I'm afraid...
    So again, I apologize for the wild goose chase, but really appreciated your input. It appears that the problem is solved (or never even existed) !

  • How to pass input parameter (parameterized mapping) to java mapping program

    Hello
    I have a question about the parameterized mapping with Java (PI 7.1).
    In the operation mapping (using Java-class) I defined a inputer parameter (string). I think I am supposed to retrieved the value using:
                    arg0.getInputParameters().getString("myInputParameterName");
    where arg0 is the TransformationInput object.
    However I am not able to get the value, I got runtime exception saying the inputer parameter doesn't exit.
    Then I figured out maybe I need to bind the OM input parameter to Java mapping parameter, just like in case of message mapping, you need to bind OM parameter to MM parameter. However there is no way to define input parameter for the java mapping program.
    Anybody has done java mapping with parameterized mapping?
    Anybody can give any hint for this?
    Thanks
    Jayson

    InputParameters params = container.getInputParameters();
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) params.getValue(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "Directory");

  • How to pass the data from a input table to RFC data service?

    Hi,
    I am doing a prototype with VC, I'm wondering how VC pass the data from a table view to a backend data service? For example, I have one RFC in the backend system with a tabel type importing parameter, now I want to pass all the data from an input table view to the RFC, I guess it's possible but I don't know how to do it.
    I try to create some events between the input table and data service, but seems there is no a system event can export the whole table to the backend data service.
    Thanks for your answer.

    Thanks for your answer, I tried the solution 2, I create "Submit" button, and ser the mapping scope to  be "All data rows", it only works when I select at least one row, otherwise the data would not be passed.
    Another question is I have serveral imported table parameter, for each table I have one "submit" event, I want these tables to be submitted at the same time, but if I click the submit button in one table toolbar, I can only submit the table data which has a submit button clicked, for other tables, the data is not passed, how can I achieve it?
    Thanks.

  • Multible MBO's with input parameter's how to pass them?

    Hello gurus i'm currently working on native app that based on BAPI MBO's and each MBO takes input parameter and return some values
    at the first MBO i made the input parameter is personalization key but after adding a second MBO and make the same to the second MBO when i generated the code and passing the PK values only for the first MBO i got an error
    any help on how to pass input parameters for native app that based on BAPI for multiple MBO and i will not pass all the parameters at the same time depend on the screen that i'm in i will call MBO
    thanks in advance

    Steps to do a sync from MBO is given below (android native app):
    Create MBO and PK.
    Map MBO load parameter with PK.
    Create Second MBO and another PK (or use existing PK if the input parameter of first MBO is same as second MBO).
    Map Second MBO load parameter with second PK.
    Sample native code (android):
    //Assing Values to PK
    PersonalizationParameters param = CustomersDB.getPersonalizationParameters();
              param.setPK_CustomerInput("1001");
              param.save();
              CustomersDB.subscribe();
    //Make a blocking synchronize call to Unwired Server to pull in all MBO data
              CustomersDB.synchronize();
    //Finall is the query generated by SUP to get the data from the table Customers.
    //Customers is the MBO name in SUP and table name in Device DB
    Customers.findAll()
    Give the steps you performed with relevant screen shots to help you further.

  • How can i pass the Input value to the sql file in the korn shell ??

    Hi,
    How can i pass the Input value to the sql file in the korn shell ??
    I have to pass the 4 different values to the sql file and each time i pass the value it has to generate the txt file for that value like wise it has to generate the 4 files at each run.
    can any one help me out.
    Raja

    Can you please more elaberate., perhaps you should more elaberate.
    sqlplus is a program. you start it from the korn shell. when it's finished, processing control returns to the korn shell. the korn shell and sqlplus do not communicate back and forth.
    so "spool the output from .sql file to some txt file from k shell, while passing the input parameters to the sql file from korn shell" makes no sense.
